Chancellor’s Circle Impact
Broadening our outreach to regional and national audiences is crucial as we
enter this new chapter of the TWU story as the nation’s first woman-focused
university system. This outreach includes Chancellor Feyten’s tireless advocacy for
a woman-focused education and the direct and transformative impact women’s
educational opportunities have on society.
Chancellor Feyten is committed to strengthening the special bond with alumni,
including those who live outside the university’s traditional, regional borders.
In the last year, well-attended events, hosted in Washington, D.C. and Seattle,
helped many reconnect to the university and each other, in a fun and informative
environment. The Chancellor’s Circle enables these essential and beneficial
outreach efforts.
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH
The Chancellor’s Circle supports faculty development and improvements to
students’ educational access and learning outcomes. Resources provided by the
Chancellor’s Circle assist with grant workshops for faculty, so they can prepare the
most competitive proposals for external funding opportunities. Grants can make a
big difference and provide funding support for important research in areas such as
health care and social services for low-income women and children to identifying
more effective ways to treat cancer.
Grant proposals like “Reimagining and Improving Student Equity in Nursing,” focus
on the expansion of the TWU College of Nursing’s BSN program. The proposed
expansion includes graduating 360 BSN students from the Denton campus,
implementation of wrap-around support services and strategic initiatives designed
to increase the number of enrolled minority and low-income students. This is
just one of many great examples of the Chancellor’s Circle support at work while
improving the TWU educational experience.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS
With more than 73% of TWU students receiving some form of financial aid,
scholarships are needed more now than ever to support the changing needs of
a diverse and often underprepared student population. The Chancellor’s Circle
provides critical financial support as part of the university system’s commitment
to graduating thriving citizens. That effort has not gone unrecognized. TWU was
recently named to Forbes “Top College List,” which spotlights 500 colleges and
universities offering an excellent education at an affordable price and graduates
successful leaders in their fields.
The Chancellor’s Circle Fund is designed to contribute to these initiatives and
others and to provide vital financial aid. By joining the Chancellor’s Circle, you
are providing pivotal support to TWU faculty, students and programs.
