The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.

EVERY MONTH AT YOSEMITE
FALLS CAFE, 4020 N. CEDAR AVE,

MEETINGS AND MEET OUR
MEMBERS.
Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is defined
in Article III, section 1 of the bylaws in part
as follows: "Membership in Central Valley
Corvettes shall be open to all Corvette
owners who are sponsored by a member in
good standing. Additionally, a prospective
member must, within a three-month period,
attend two consecutive meetings, participate
in two club sanctioned
social activities, pay current membership
dues and initiation fees, and be approved by
two-thirds vote of membership present at a
general membership meeting by secret ballot.
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all members
must be a member of the association
providing club liability insurance for
CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings or
two sanctioned activities as per CVC Bylaws.
CVC membership dues are $60 plus an
initiation fee of $35. Membership entitles two
adult members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

….... a word from our President
My gold country run has come and gone. It was a lot of fun to plan. There were great “Corvette” roads,
tours and eating establishments. It was truly a “Mother Lode” of fun. Stephanie and I would like to
thank everyone who made the trip with us. We hope you enjoyed it. Spending time with members on
runs is the best way to get to know each other. Keep your gold prospecting skills sharp. You never
know when another run to the area will happen!
Our annual meeting is coming up this month. It is nice to see some new faces running for board
positions. If elected, they will bring new ideas and viewpoints. Your vote is important. Please consider
who you think will be the best choice to move the club forward. Before you know it, one year will have
passed and we will be doing this again. I hope that members who declined nominations this year will
reconsider next year.
The holidays seem to fly by once we get to this time of year. We have two fun events coming up: a
Halloween party hosted by the Lebda's and our annual Christmas party. Let's all thank those who plan
and host these events. Without a small percentage of members willing to step up and organize these
events, our club would definitely not be as much fun. In the past, we did a lunch run on New Years Eve,
but that ended with the covid shutdown. Maybe we can get that event going again.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT by JULIE SONS
It seems like I am always talking about the weather but that is
because I run very HOT! Fall has been here for past the month and it
is still in the 90’s. However, that should all change very soon.
Remember Veteran’s Day is on November 11 th . Our Veterans have a
special place in my heart and I was so blessed to have served them
at the VA for 40 years and I owe my heart to them. Also,
Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 24 th and I wish you and your family many blessings.
After Thanksgiving it is only 30 days until Christmas. Time to start your shopping. Ugh!
We had a total 63 members and 6 guests. Our guests included:

bring to next meeting. The deadline is November 21 st .
With the approval vote tonight on Linda Mroz it brings our total membership to 95.

NOVEMBER SUNSHINE & CLOUDS
Continue to prayer for
Dick is having an operation to remove his spleen and it is set
for November 4th. He started a new medication specifically for
his condition and it helped bring his red blood cell count up,
but not in the normal range.
Vicki Garrison is still having issues with an infection and is
looking at the possibilities of a skin graft to advance the
healing process. Skip will give us an update of her progress
in the next few weeks.
Recent Surgery
Mike King had surgery on 10/4 and everything went well and he
is recovering nicely at home.
Post Surgical Update(s)
Armando Garcia’s mother who is dealing with post-surgical triple
bypass surgery. What was supposed to be a in-out procedure
turned out to be a major hospital stay and extended intubation.
Please keep her in your prayers.
Marci said she was feeling up to possibly joining us tonight.
Doctor feels she still has a few months before she is fully
recovered and starts with physical therapy.
Deaths
Darlene Derringer’s sister passed away. We missed Darlene and
Craig as she was with her family in this difficult time. Please
keep them in your prayers.
Happy News
Debbie Garrison played her 50 th high school reunion and it was a
spectacular party that went off without a hitch. A good time
was had by everyone and she would like to thank the Kroeker’s
for the use of their beautiful grounds.

CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES GENERAL MEETING
MINUTES of OCTOBER 17, 2022
President Jeff Engelman called the meeting to order at 6:33 P.M.
Secretary Debbie Garrison –Jeff asked the members to approve the minutes of
September 19, 2022, meeting, as printed in the Newsletter. A motion was made by
LeighAnne Severance and seconded by Janet King.
VP of Public Relations/Membership – Julie Sons welcomed Harlan and Brenda Elrich, Paul
Marshall and his friend JT, Polo and Siprina Duarte, and Linda Mroz who is being voted on
this meeting. Julie announced the birthdays and anniversaries. Skip and LeighAnne
Severance have been married 52 years, Mike and Lynne Henenfent 54 years, Patrick and
Patricia Garrahan 55 years, Keith and Monica Collins 41 years, Tom and Marcie Jarvis 33
years. Our anniversary winners were the Henenfents. Julie reported that October is name
your car month, a drawing was done of those members that added their names to the
drawing, Kathy Marine won with their car name Super Streak.
Treasurer’s Report-Lynne Henenfent Interim Treasurer, gave a reporting of the Club’s
Treasury Report with an accounting of the deposits made and checks written for expenses
and our current balance. A copy is attached. Stephanie Engelman sold raffle tickets for the
meeting.
VP of Activities-Keith Garrison-Keith asked for reports on past activities. Gary Linsner
reported on Snelling Car Show. Keith reported on the Sanger West Homecoming thanking
Fred and Terrie Parks, Patrick and Patricia Garrahan for their participation. Keith also
reported on the Sanger Homecoming and thanked Chuck and Linda Laningham. Mike and
Mary Lou Lebda, Gail Tavares and Linda Mroz and her friend Joann, and prospective new
member Harlan Elrich for helping us in participating for thirty-three continuous years. Keith
asked Jeff to give a report on the President’s Run, many of the members commented on
how great the run was. Araceli gave a report on Fresno Fair Horse Racing Run, everyone
had a wonderful time. Keith had members talk about upcoming runs. A full listing of
Upcoming events is listed on the Activities page in the Newsletter.

Parliamentarian–Mike Lebda–Spoke about the importance of voting for the By-Law
Change and it must be passed by a two-thirds vote. He announced those members running
for officers; Jeff Engelman for President, VP of Activities, Gary Linsner and Mary Lou Lebda,
VP of Public Relations and Membership, Julie Sons, Treasurer, Lynne Henenfent and
Jasmine Luna.
Newsletter Update – Newsletters articles, flyers and pictures need to be sent to Mike
Lebda by October 25, 2022.
Old Business – Jeff will be getting refunds to back to members that participated in the
President’s Run by the next General Meeting.
New Business – Jeff read two proposals to the Members for the club to contribute to the
Christmas Party. Discussion was held and Jeff asked for a motion. Fred Parks made the
motion, and it was seconded by LeighAnne Severance. The motion passed by an
overwhelming majority.
Sergeant-of-Arms – Chuck Laningham collected Badge fines.
Next General Meeting – Yosemite Falls Café, Granite Park, Monday, November 21, 2022,
at 6:30 PM
Next Board Meeting – The next board meeting is 10:00 AM, October 24, 2022, at the
home of Jeff Engelman. Please let Jeff know if you plan on attending.
Meeting Adjourned – Jeff called for meeting to be adjourned, LeighAnne Severance made
the motion, and the motion was seconded by Freida Null. The meeting was adjourned at
7:30 P.M
Raffle was conducted by Mike Henenfent and was assisted by Kim Fosnaugh, Mike Lebda,
and Chuck Laningham.
Raffle prizes were donated by Collins, De Camp, Dukes, Engelman, Fosnaugh’s, Garcia’s,
Garlock’s, Garrison’s, Henderson’s, Henenfent’s, Jarvis’s, Larry King’s, Mike King’s,

ACTIVITIES CALENDAR
NOVEMBER 2022
The perfomance at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater was outstanding, the troupe of perfomers did a
fantastic job. It was funny and the singing was good. The meal was delicious, Debbie and I had the
chicken and the flat iron steak plus dessert of rich chocolate cake and ice cream. Everyone
enjoyed the show.
A howling good time is sure to be had at the Halloween party at the Lebda’s hosted by the Son’s
and the Linsner’s. Julie and Pam have some fun activities planned for those that are attending.
The Sanger Veterans Parade is coming up on November 5 th , we have 9 cars signed up to participate
in the parade. We have planned a lunch at our Sanger DiCicco’s.
Charlie Fosnaugh has planned another Movie Night for us at Maya Cinema. We are planning to see
the new George Clooney and Julia Roberts movie Ticket to Paradise. Check Charlie’s flyer in the
newsletter and make your reservations in the top 3 rows of the theater.
Our Christmas party is scheduled for Monday December 5 th , your $10.00 per person run fee is due
by the November Meeting. Our Dynamtic Duo of Julie and Pam are hosting once again with a little
help from Debbie. Our dinner will be at Pardini’s once again and the girls are planning some fun
games to go along with the fellowship that is sure to be on tap for the evening.
We have two Runs already planned for next year. The Lebda’s will be having the Super Bowl Party
on February 12, 2023 and they also will be leading a run to Moss Landing to Cambria on March 14-
16, 2023. Bring your ideas for Runs for next year, Valentine’s Day Run, St Patrick’s Day, Spring
Fling, just to name a few.
