THAPAR INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY(TIET), located in

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL
Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Thapar Institute of Engineering
and Technology, Patiala has been established with the aim to foster
and nurture talented young minds with entrepreneurial mindsets.
With India witnessing an increase in start-up culture, we encourage
and guide everyone bitten by the insect of entrepreneurship.
We envision a team of spirited individuals who strive to make
resources accessible to students and provide them an easy link to
venture capital firms, successful entrepreneurs, executive
professionals, and corporations so that they can watch their dreams
become reality and start-ups turn into businesses. We believe in
developing a spirit of entrepreneurship among students to transform
them from job seekers to job creators and in creating free thinkers
that seek out change rather than waiting to adapt.

Vision
E-Summit is a confluence of students and professionals who wish
to change the world with their vision and start their own business
or fund an interesting opportunity.
It is an event where students come to be inspired and learn how to
deal with situations under pressure.
Mission
We plan to make E-Summit’23 a culmination of ideas,
entrepreneurial spirits, and learning and also a sign of
teamwork. To showcase a community that is willing to work
hard, that is willing to sacrifice, that is willing to go the extra
mile to make the impossible possible, and transcend its
dreams into reality.
To #innovate and inspire students# once again, EDC brings
together E-Summit 2023. The annual gathering of top
entrepreneurs, eloquent speakers , and dream recruiters in a threeday
event organized by EDC, TIET.
The summit is a symposium of insightful and creative students,
path-leading professionals, and innovators, who aim to start or
fund businesses and change the world.
The event acts as a platform where today's youth can converge to
exchange inspired and enterprising ideas, which is the lifeline of
entrepreneurship. With a total footfall of 3000+ participants for the
3-day long summit and over 40 companies and startups
participating in the Internship Fair, more than 350 students
applied for Internships in various fields.
The main objective of our event is to promote an ideation mindset
among the students, to teach them how to be leaders in the
modern-day world as well as to provide them with opportunities
and experiences which will be beneficial for their future and allow
them to ascend to the next level.

EVENT
E-SUMMIT 2023
DAY - 1
ELEVATE
A platform to experiment with how well people perform under
pressure and a stage to exhibit technical proficiency and
business aptitude. It is a B-Plan competition wherein
participants will have to procure resources and optimize the
cost in order to maintain the leaderboards.

DAY - 2
UNWIND
Unwind, a fun-filled frolic eve organized to increase the interest of students in
the summit. It is an informal eve filled casual conversations, A Fascinating And
Entertaining Evening Jam-Packed An Opportunity To Attend Sessions From The
Pioneers Of The Content Creation Industry.
It gives everyone a good chance to bring their funny side up and interact with
each other.

DAY - 3
INTERNSHIP FAIR
Internship Fair seeks to provide young minds the ability to grow by working
alongside their academics with proper certification in hand. Companies from all
backgrounds, core, and non-core, participate to make this fair a success. The
application process for each company is individually decided by representatives of
the company. Over 400 internships were offered in 2022, and over 1000 applications
were processed.
