Bralorne-Pioneer
Museum
Annual Report 2022
President’s Report
2022 was a good year for the Museum with $8187 collected
in donations and a great visitor turn-out with about 583
people visiting throughout the season.
A highlight this year was a very successful Museum Day held
in conjunction with the Bralorne Reunion. Over 40 people
attended the event at the Bralorne Church, where
information was shared on a variety of topics related to
Bralorne and Pioneer in the mining era. This event also
provided a chance to share information on the Bralorne
Pioneer Mines Office Building conservation and adaptive
reuse project.
The Heritage Committee continues work towards relocating
the Bralorne-Pioneer Museum to the new building, and we
are excited to see the work progressing on this project.
Collection Management work has also continued this year
2
with some valuable new documents being donated to the
Museum. This includes a large donation of more than 9000
historic Bralorne Gold Mines mining maps. Thanks to
Talisker Resources, the museum now has digital copies in
addition to the physical maps.
We greatly appreciate all our supporters, visitors, and
volunteers who allow the museum to operate, and we would
like to say a special thank you to our diligent staff member,
Janis Irvine, for her dedicated work.
