dogters [Ilze en Lizelle] verskillende
afdelings op die been gebring het, “en so
sal ons, ons nalatenskap voortbou”.
Ilze has a goldsmith who she works with
closely so they don’t only retail jewellery
anymore but custom-make any piece of
special jewellery as well.
“I have always loved all things bling and
shiny and always loved jewellery, so the
business stemmed from my own passion
for jewellery. Basically, I’m living my dream
making the dreams of others come
true by being part of the design and
manufacture of their most special piece
of jewellery – like their wedding bands for
example.”
She says her family and her heritage are
very important to her. “So, to be part of
the M Design Group of businesses and
carry on with a legacy started by The Big
‘M’, my grandfather Mattie, albeit each in
our own way, is very dear to me.”
Ilze is in the process of finalising their
website www.mdesignjewellery.co.za. “We
should be live by end of March 2023. This
year has also brought about the addition
of many new ranges to our collection,
such as gemstones and charms. I truly
believe the M Design Group can grow
even further. M Design Jewellery is also
an official Silver sponsor for Alicia Stols,
a semi-finalist in the Mrs South Africa
Competition this year.”
Lizelle says her business started as a
hobby in 2015 when she realised people
don’t have time to do gift shopping, she
started to work full-time at her business
in 2018.
“We offer the service of saving you time
and delivering a quality gift to someone
special on your behalf. I enjoy working
hard and consider myself blessed to be
able to do what I love most… spreading
love. The surprise on a client’s face when
flowers or hampers are delivered is
priceless. So many times I have shared
a tear of joy or even one of heartfelt
condolence with a client when delivering
a bouquet of flowers, on behalf of a loved
one far away”.
M Design Flowers and Gifts service both
private and corporate clients with gift
hampers, corporate gifting, wedding
favours etc.
She adds that M Design is a family name
she is proud of. “It is a great honour
to continue the legacy of M Design,
started by my grandfather many years
ago. I would love to see the M Design
group grow from strength to strength
and continue to be a trusted name in
Bloemfontein.”
