Dermocosmetic products, which are the most preferred product group by cosmetic product users, 

nourish your skin deeply by providing the necessary care effect as they contain natural ingredients. 

Dermocosmetic products developed using natural techniques and passed clinical tests in the 

dermatological field can be creams, tonics, cleansing gels, masks, gels, etc. The most important 

difference that distinguishes dermocosmetic products from other cosmetic products is that while 

cosmetic products do not provide a purifying effect on the skin of individuals, dermocosmetic 

products support your skin by nourishing it both internally and externally, thanks to the 

special formulas it contains. While dermocosmetic products are lighter in structure, color and

While the packaging plays an important role 

in the perception of the beautiful and colorful 

cosmetic products waiting for the consumer 

on the shelves, the information on the label 

gives important information about the content 

of the product. Although the label of cosmetic 

products may seem confusing, we can be 

among conscious consumers by obtaining 

important information about both its content 

and the benefits it will provide when read 

carefully. The product label provides much 

more important information about the expiry 

date as well as the content of the product. The 

presentation of quality content in cosmetic 

products to the consumer in a quality package 

provides significant advantages in terms of both 

branding and competition. Undoubtedly, one 

of the most important criteria that determines 

how much space a newly released cosmetic 

product can gain is the packaging of the 

product. It is thought that manufacturers who 

attach importance to packaging selection have 

taken an important step that will provide them 

with an advantage. This plays an important role 

in branding and maintaining market shares.

yer kazanabileceğini belirleyen en önemli 

kriterlerden biri şüphesiz ürünün ambalajıdır. 

Ambalaj seçimine önem veren üreticilerin 

kendilerine avantaj sağlayacak önemli bir adım 

attıkları düşünülmektedir. Bu, markalaşma ve 

pazar paylarının korunmasında önemli bir rol 

oynar.

İlaç ve kozmetik alanında dışa bağımlılık azalıyor! 

Yeditepe Üniversitesi Eczacılık Fakültesi İlaç, Kozmetik ve 

Tıbbi Cihaz Ar-Ge ve Analiz Laboratuvarı, Türk Akreditasyon 

Kurumu tarafından akredite edildi. İlaç, tıbbi cihaz ve 

kozmetik alanında üretilen ürünler için Türkiye’de yapılan 

testlerin uluslararası alanda da geçerliliğini sağlayacak olan 

akreditasyon, yurt dışına bağımlılığın önüne geçecek. 

Yeditepe Üniversitesi Rektör Yardımcısı, İlaç, Kozmetik ve Tıbbi 

Cihaz AR-GE Laboratuvarı Sorumlusu ve Eczacılık Fakültesi 

Farmasötik Toksikoloji Anabilim Dalı Başkanı Prof. Dr. Ahmet 

Aydın, üniversitenin laboratuvarının aldığı akreditasyonla ilgili 

bilgi verdi.

Pharmacy Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic and Medical Device 

R&D Laboratory, Faculty of Pharmacy of Yeditepe University 

was accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency. The 

accreditation, which will ensure the international validity of 

the tests conducted in Türkiye for products produced in the 

field of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and cosmetics, will 

prevent dependence on foreign countries.

Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic and Medical Device R&D 

Laboratory, Faculty of Pharmacy, Head of Pharmaceutical 

Toxicology Department of Faculty of Pharmacy of Yeditepe 

University informed about the accreditation received by the 

university’s laboratory. 

“For international acceptance, the institution conducting the 

experiment must be accredited” 

Reminding that every new product produced in the field of 

pharmaceuticals, medical devices and cosmetics must be proven 

to be safe before being offered to people, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Aydın 

said, “Experiments can be done without accreditation, but if you 

want to ensure the international acceptance of a product, the 

laboratory that performs those tests-tests must be accredited.” 

Stating that in vitro and in vivo biocompatibility tests, 

genotoxicity tests, in vitro irritation tests, medical device 

compatibility tests, and safety assessments are carried out in the 

accredited laboratory, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Aydın said, “Currently, 

we are performing these tests in our laboratories. Accreditation 

is an indication that these tests are unequivocally accurate, 

reliable and of high quality.” 

“Uluslararası kabul için deneyi yapan kurum akredite 

olmalı” 

İlaç, tıbbi cihaz ve kozmetik alanında üretilen her yeni ürünün, 

insanların kullanımına sunulmadan güvenli olduğunun 

kanıtlanması, bunun için de testlere tabii tutulması gerektiğini 

anımsatan Prof. Dr. Ahmet Aydın, “Akreditasyon olmadan da 

deneyler yapılabilir fakat bir ürünün uluslararası kabulünü 

sağlamak istiyorsanız o testleri-deneyi yapan laboratuvar 

akredite olmalı” diye konuştu 

Akredite olan laboratuvarda in vitro ve in vivo biyouyumluluk 

deneyleri, genotoksisite deneyleri, in vitro iritasyon testleri, 

tıbbi cihaz uygunluk testleri, güvenlilik değerlendirmeleri 

yapıldığını ifade eden Prof. Dr. Ahmet Aydın, “Şu anda 

laboratuvarlarımızda bu testleri yapıyoruz. Akreditasyon bu 

testlerin, şüphe götürmeyecek bir şekilde doğru, güvenilir ve 

kaliteli olduğunun göstergesidir” dedi. 

“Gereksiz deney hayvanının kullanılmasının önüne 

geçiyoruz” 

In vitro testlerle ilgili bilgi veren Prof. Dr. Aydın, “Özellikle 

kozmetik ürünlerde irritasyon (tahriş) potansiyelini 

değerlendirmek için önceleri deney hayvanları kullanılırdı. 

Ancak günümüzde geliştirilmiş bir yöntemle insanlardan 

alınmış deri hücrelerinden laboratuvar ortamında deri 

üretiliyor. Bu laboratuvar ortamlarındaki deriye de kozmetik 

bir ürünü ya da başka bir ürünü uygulayarak ciltte irritasyon 

yapıp yapmadığını test edebiliyoruz. Bu deneyleri tam akredite 

ve uluslararası kabul gören bir şekilde gerçekleştiriyoruz. Bu 

sayede gereksiz bir şekilde deney hayvanının kullanılmasının 

önüne geçmiş oluyoruz. Bu test yöntemi ABD’de geliştirilmiştir. 

Türkiye’de de ilk defa 2011 yılında üniversitemizde bu test 

gerçekleştirildi” ifadelerini kullandı.

“We prevent the use of unnecessary experimental animals” 

Giving information about in vitro tests, Prof. Dr. Aydın said, 

“Especially in cosmetic products, experimental animals were 

used to evaluate the potential for irritation. However, today, 

leather is produced in a laboratory environment from skin cells 

taken from humans with an improved method. By applying 

a cosmetic product or another product to the skin in these 

laboratory environments, we can test whether it causes irritation 

on the skin. We conduct these experiments in a fully accredited 

and internationally accepted manner. In this way, we prevent 

the unnecessary use of experimental animals. This test method 

was developed in the USA. For the first time in Türkiye, this test 

was carried out at our university in 2011.” 

“We have taken a very important step to reduce foreign 

dependency” 

Referring to the importance of accreditation for Türkiye Prof. 

Dr. Ahmet Aydın said, “If our industrialists are producing, these 

products should be tested in our country. In order to reach a 

result accepted by international organizations, we created these 

laboratories and received accreditation. When an enterprising 

industrialist in Türkiye wants to have his own product tested 

in an internationally recognized laboratory, he will not have to 

send it abroad.” 

“Produced in our country will be tested and licensed here” 

Recording that this situation will provide important 

contributions to Türkiye in terms of economy, Prof. Dr. Aydın 

continued his words as follows: “The fact that a manufacturer 

in Türkiye receives service from an analysis laboratory abroad 

causes an incredible loss of resources. With this accreditation 

obtained by the laboratories of our university, a product 

produced in our country will be tested in our country, it will 

be licensed here and will be accepted in the international arena. 

By carrying out these tests in Türkiye, it will be ensured that the 

capital going abroad stays in the country.” 

Ahmet Aydın, şöyle konuştu: “Sanayicimiz üretim yapıyorsa bu 

ürünlerin ülkemizde test edilmesi gerekiyor, düşüncesiyle yola 

çıktık ve ülkemizin dışa bağımlılığını azaltmak üzere çok önemli 

adımlardan bir tanesini attık. Uluslararası kuruluşların kabul 

ettiği bir sonuca ulaşmak için bu laboratuvarları oluşturduk 

ve akreditasyon aldık. Türkiye’de girişimci bir sanayicimiz 

kendi ürününü ürettiği ve bu ürünü uluslararası arenada kabul 

gören bir laboratuvarda test ettirmek istediğinde, yurt dışına 

göndermek zorunda kalmayacak.” 

“Ülkemizde üretilen burada test edilecek ve ruhsatını alacak” 

Bu durumun ekonomik açıdan Türkiye’ye önemli katkılar 

sağlayacağını söyleyen Prof. Dr. Aydın, sözlerini şöyle 

sürdürdü: “Türkiye’deki bir üreticinin yurt dışındaki bir 

analiz laboratuvarından hizmet alması inanılmaz bir kaynak 

kaybına yol açıyor. Üniversitemiz laboratuvarlarının aldığı bu 

akreditasyonla, ülkemizde üretilen bir ürün, ülkemizde test 

edilecek, burada ruhsatını almış olacak ve uluslararası alanda 

kabul görecek. Bu testlerin Türkiye’de yapılmasıyla yurt dışına 

giden sermayenin ülkede kalması sağlanacak.” 

“Hizmet ihracatı gerçekleştiriyoruz” 

Yurt dışına da hizmet verdiklerini de ifade eden Prof. Dr. 

Ahmet Aydın, “Şu anda aktif olarak Ürdün, Suudi Arabistan 

ve Mısır’dan gelen ürünler için toksikolojik değerlendirmeler 

yapıyoruz ve bir hizmet ihracatı gerçekleştirmiş oluyoruz” dedi.

for products from Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt and we are

For more than 35 years, PLMA’s annual “World of Private 

Label” International Trade Show has brought retailers together 

with manufacturers to help them find new products, make new 

contacts, and discover new ideas that will help their private label 

programs succeed and grow. 

The 2023 “World of Private Label”, International Trade Show 

organized by PLMA will take place at RAI Exhibition Centre, 

Amsterdam, The Netherlands on 23-24 May. The products 

on display include dry grocery, fresh and frozen foods, dry 

groceries, beverages, as well as non food categories such as 

cosmetics, beauty, household, kitchen, auto aftercare and 

garden. To make it easier for visitors to make the most of their 

visit, the show floor has been divided into separate food- and 

non-food halls. 

Plays a greater role in marketing 

Although the past few years were extremely challenging, 

private label has maintained its strong position in all markets. 

This means that there is always a need for new products and 

contacts. As retailers grow internationally and play a greater 

role in marketing their products and themselves, private label 

will continue to expand. 

Private label thrives in Europe 

An overall growth of private label shares is visible in Europe 

across 17 countries including Scandinavia and CEE countries, 

according to the current data. Compared to 2021, the value 

share in 2022 grew +1.2% to an impressive 37% of the grocery 

market in Europe which represent 302bln euros.

Note Cosmetique Turkiye, a popular brand in the world of 

colorful cosmetics with make-up products produced without 

testing on animals, has joined forces with Beril Pozam, who is 

also a vegetarian. 

In their first commercial shoot for the launch, Beril Pozam 

appeared before the camera with the Note BB cream, which was 

the most preferred make-up cream in Turkiye in 2022. 

Note BB Cream increases the moisture capacity while nourishing 

the skin with its vitamin E content. It provides a healthier and 

smoother appearance while caring with wheat bran and citrus
