"We are Talking Fashion: Innovators,
Trendsetters, Changemakers and ... Activists"
For the next issue of Inspiring Women, we want to
examine the who, what and why of clothes. It is a
world of creativity, color, and cloth. The elements that
go into a garment and the process that gets them
from the sketch pad to the shop floor are fascinating.
We are looking for women in our clubs to profile who
have interesting stories to tell about their experience
in the world of fashion – designers, influencers,
stylists, models, marketers, and retailers. We read
about fashion so who writes about it? Let’s hear
about all of them.
Is there someone in your club who has worked in a
non-traditional role in the fashion world, “activists"
who have made the industry look at their customers in a different way? Challenging brands to
make clothes to fit real bodies. Or calling on manufacturers to make sustainable clothing and
treat workers fairly. And we plan to have some real fun in this issue with some features that
reflect how the FAWCO “gets their fashion on.” Let’s take advantage of our worldwide
community and give us your ideas for good fashion. And what would a fashion issue be
without your photos?
