IWC Moldova

Women’s Club of Moldova’s
(IWCM) Administrator,
introduces us to FAWCO’s
newest member club. IWCM
joined FAWCO in 2022 and is
part of Region 5. "Our motto
is connecting people and
cultures, and it says a lot about
us. We are open-minded,
tolerant, ready to help and do
good deeds as women power,
and our treasure is the
diversity of our cultures
and traditions.”

Founded in 1997 by the initiative of the
spouse of the USA Ambassador in
Moldova, Georgia Stuart, the
International Women’s Club of Moldova
(IWCM) is a community of women from
all over the world who are dedicated to making
a positive difference in the lives of those around
them. It is a unique organization with the aim
of creating a platform where women can meet,
network, and give back to their community.
IWCM brings women together to promote the
values of success, charity, sorority, kindness,
and inspiration.

What does your current
membership look like?
The IWCM is also a hub for
cultural diplomacy, bringing
together women from all
different backgrounds and nationalities to share
their experiences and learn from one another.
This unity of women from all over the world is
a testament to the power of diversity and the
importance of building bridges across cultures.
We have 54 active members now from: Moldova,
USA, Latvia, India, Turkey, Indonesia, Sierra
Leone, Romania, Korea, Myanmar, France, Serbia,
Ukraine, Poland, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Italy,
Belarus, United Kingdom, and Lithuania.
How does the club run?
Led by Club President Olesia Shevchenko, wife
of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic
of Moldova, the IWCM has become a prestigious
organization that is widely respected for its
dedication to charitable projects, kindness, and
cultural diplomacy. The club brings together
women from all different backgrounds and
nationalities to share their experiences and
learn from one another, creating a unity that
is both inspiring and powerful. The Club has a
President, an Administrator, a Board
