We start the day heading to the centre of Reading close to the excellent Oracle shopping 

centre. With a lovely location on the banks of the River Kennet and a host of restaurants,

drive out to Caversham Pier where we board our excellent private river boat for a 90 minute

These award-winning gardens are beautifully situated north of Chichester with views over the 

surrounding South Downs. Owned by the Edward James Foundation the gardens were laid 

out in the 1890s and 1900s featuring a Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden, 300 foot-long 

Edwardian Pergola, naturalistic Spring Garden, Sunken Garden, Orchards and circular 

arboretum walk set in beautiful parkland. A huge variety of plants - from peaches to peppers,

Established by Benedictine Monks during the 1040's, Abbotsbury Swannery is a unique 

attraction where you are able to walk through the heart of a colony of Mute Swans. 

Abbotsbury is located to the west of Weymouth and offers a fantastic day out. After spending 

time at The Swannery we travel to the nearby Sup Tropical Gardens, described by Alan 

Titchmarsh as “One of the finest gardens I have ever visited”. This magnificent 20 acre site

Arundel - Carpet of Flowers 

For over 100 years, Arundel Cathedral in West Sussex has celebrated the feast of Corpus 

Christi with a festival of flowers, which includes a magnificent carpet of flowers in the central 

aisle of the Cathedral and a procession of the Blessed Sacrament from the Cathedral to the 

courtyard of Arundel Castle, where Benediction is given. The Carpet of Flowers will be open 

to public view until celebration of Corpus Christi Mass. No charge for entrance. Plenty more

Isle of Wight Tour with local guide 

ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR DAYS. After joining the ferry from Lymington we will be joined

For one of a kind finds, look no further than the Shepton Mallet Antiques and Collector’s Fair. As the West Country’s premier antiques event, the fair is 

housed in four halls and over 40 shopping arcades at the Royal Bath & West Showground. It features up to 600 stands, with everything from paintings 

and antique furniture to vintage teddies and luxury leather luggage. The fair attracts many of London’s top dealers, many of whom will have their

Highgrove Gardens - SPECIAL DAY 

Places are strictly limited so please book early for this rare opportunity to see the acclaimed 

gardens of Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort, located near Tetbury in the 

beautiful Cotswolds. Designed to embody The King's environmental philosophy, there a wide 

variety of interlinking habitats including The Wild Flower Meadow, The Sundial Garden, The 

Cottage Garden and much more. We have booked a tour of the gardens led by one of the 

garden guides, which lasts approximately two hours. Visitors with walking difficulties should

Royal Ascot - Ladies Day 

Come along to one of the most glamourous events in the British Sporting calendar with a 

chance to enjoy the superb racing. The feature race today is Royal Ascot's oldest and most 

prestigious - The Gold Cup. We have reserved tickets for the Windsor Enclosure, which is 

located on the straight mile, offering a vibrant and exciting experience. Be the first to see the 

Royal Procession as The King’s landau passes the railings and the first to hear the thunder of 

the hooves. There are a number of food and drink outlets available or picnics are allowed – 

they must be brought in a picnic hamper or cool bag/box. Although no formal dress code 

applies, racegoers are encouraged to wear smart clothes. Please check the Ascot website for

Beautifully situated in the lovely West Sussex countryside this superb open air museum includes rescued traditional rural buildings. The site has recently 

shot to prominence as the sit of the hit BBC series - The Repair Shop. The 40-acre site has 50 buildings to explore and many are exhibit houses, furnished 

to recreate historic domestic interiors. There are different domestic demonstrations on most days in the exhibit houses – dairying and cooking, spinning

Horse Drawn Canal Boat & Marlborough 

Step back in time with us, as we head first to one of our favourite stopping places, 

Marlborough. This archetypal English Market town has that 'film location' quality and is a 

great spot to stroll around and enjoy a nice lunch. In the afternoon we head to nearby 

Kintbury and board the 'Kennet Valley' horse drawn barge for a 2 ½ hour cruise along the 

beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. This wide beam passenger boat was purpose built for carrying 

passengers and is powered solely by the towing action of the horse making for a tranquil 

journey. Facilities onboard include a well stocked bar serving tea, coffee, soft drinks and

Hamble River Cruise with delicious Fish & Chips 

A great day out to Southampton. After some free time in the city centre to shop or explore the history we transfer you to nearby Ocean Village and 

board our excellent Blue Funnel boat. We have booked a lovely 2 hour cruise along Southampton Water, turning up the Hamble River with views of the 

yachting marina made famous by the 80s TV show, 'Howard's Way' - remember that? - big hair and shoulder pads. Whilst on board you will be served a

Salisbury Cathedral or Salisbury only 

Salisbury Cathedral recently celebrated being a place of worship, welcome, and hospitality for 800 years and has the tallest spire in the country - a 

breathtaking 404ft. Inside the Chapter House, you can also discover one of only four surviving original Magna Carta. Our day includes entrance with a 

self-guided tour but there are volunteer guides stationed around the inside to offer 

information and advice. On Tuesdays there is a demonstration of the medieval clock and also 

a stonemason's demo in the cloisters. Free time after to explore the historic jewel of Salisbury 

- named as one of the world's Top 10 Cities to visit in 2015 by Lonely Planet. Great place to 

spend a day.
