Trail maintenance projects flourished on the weekends, including clearing paths and improving drainage on the Carol Heaney Nature Trail and constructing deer fencing to study untrammeled native flora. During the week the NA community conserved electricity and weighed garbage to raise awareness and study our own patterns of consumption. One afternoon a group of seniors taught Middle School students mini-courses on outdoor skills, including orienteering, knot-tying, tree-identification and bear awareness. We expect Earth Week to become a tradition at NA! Report on Giving 2008-2009 13
