The Energy labelling scheme aims to create market pull for efficient products through the provision of clear and objective information on energy efficiency to consumers. Once your customer has decided upon features such as type, size and colour, then energy efficiency can become a valuable selling feature. For electrical appliances the Energy Rating label shows potential buyers how energy efficient the appliance is and how much electricity it uses to run over a typical year. (Except for air conditioners which are based on use per hour rather than annual rate.) For gas appliances the Energy Rating label shows potential buyers how energy efficient the appliance is and how much gas it uses to run over a typical year. SHOW Aims of Energy Labelling W/B 10
