LAEISZ GROUP MV PONTREMOLI INVOLVED IN RESCUE OPERATION On the 16th of October our MV PONTREMOLI, chartername ANL BENALLA, received an AMSA request to assist an S + R-operation of a lonely sailor. After eight hours of full steaming the yacht, previously located by a civil airplane, was reached and shelter given against swell and wind. At 04:00 hours of the 17th the coastguard arrived but without the MV PONTREMOLI being there, they would have not been able to locate the yacht. Many thanks to Captain Radloff and his crew. Mikuni Komatsu and Nikolaus W. Schües Martini Chartering once again played host to their annual „Pre-Eisbein“ reception. For the second year running, the event took place at the “Laeisz- halle”, a fitting location. With the number of guests increasing each year, more than two hundred members of the shipping community gathered to enjoy an afternoon of socializing, decent food and yes! some drinks. The event provides the perfect platform for members of the industry to come together in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere and despite the current challenges that the market is facing, this year‘s event once again proved to be a great success.
