FFY 2008 Technical Assistance Update As part of the consequence of the State’s determination level of Needs Assistance or lower for two consecutive years, the State is required to report in its Annual Performance Report technical assistance it sought during the reporting period. In addition to participating in the regularly scheduled monthly technical assistance calls with OSEP, the following technical assistance was received for this indicator: � TEA staff will attend the Southeast Regional Resource Center (SERRC) Regional Early Childhood Forum with presentations and invited guests, OSEP, National Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (NECTAC), and Data and Accountability Center (DAC) representatives (October 2008). Improvement activities for this indicator will be ongoing through the 2010-2011 school year. Part B State Annual Performance Report (APR) for 2007 Monitoring Priority: FAPE in the LRE Indicator 5: Percent of children with IEPs aged 6 through 21: A. Inside the regular class 80% or more of the day B. Inside the regular class less than 40% of the day; and C. In separate schools, residential facilities, or homebound/hospital placements. (20 U.S.C. 1416(a)(3)(A)) Measurement: A. Percent = [(# of children with IEPs inside the regular class 80% or more of the day) divided by the (total # of students aged 6 through 21 with IEPs)] times 100. B. Percent = [(# of children with IEPs inside the regular class less than 40% of the day) divided by the (total # of students aged 6 through 21 with IEPs)] times 100. C. Percent = [(# of children with IEPs served in separate schools, residential facilities, or homebound/hospital placements) divided by the (total # of students aged 6 through 21 with IEPs)] times 100. FFY Measurable and Rigorous Target 2007 A. The percent of children with IEPs ages 6-21 inside the regular class 80% or more of the day will be equal to or greater than 55.66%. B. The percent of children with IEPs ages 6-21 inside the regular class less than 40% of the day will be equal to or less than 11.95%. C. The percent of children with IEPs ages 6-21 in separate schools, residential facilities, or homebound/hospital placements will be equal to or less than 1.27%.
