TOWN COUNCIL NEWS Flag Raising Ceremony Date Set; Renovations Conclude at Redwood House Well, we know autumn has certainly arrived in RedwoodMeadows as many of us scrape the frost from our car windows in the morning or witness leaves falling from the trees. As we settle in to the new season, there is much to celebrate in October — a flagraising ceremony and the completion of renovations at Redwood House, as well as the Firefighter’s Ball and the 25 th anniversary of the RedwoodMeadows Wild Rose Seniors Club. Building a strong relationship with the Tsuu T’ina Nation is a most important priority for Town Council. The raising of the Tsuu T’ina flag in the townsite will take place outside Redwood House on Sunday, October 14 at 10 am. This is an opportunity to recognize that we reside on the lands of the Tsuu T’ina Nation and celebrate the strengthening relationship between our communities. We welcome and encourage all community members to participate. Renovations that started this summer at Redwood House are coming to a close in mid-October. Finally, floors are going in, new paint and lighting has been installed, and some welcome new storage space has been created. We look forward to community members enjoying the improved space. Congratulations go out to the RedwoodMeadows The Chatter in the Woods welcomes your letters, articles, advertisements and notices of interest to our community members. Deadline for submissions is the 15th of the month prior to publication. Send submissions to: Wild Rose Seniors Club, which is celebrating its 25 th anniversary this year. Founded in 1987, the club has created a variety of social opportunities for seniors (50+) in our community. Don’t forget to support the RedwoodMeadows Fire Department by purchasing a ticket for the Firefighters’ Ball, set for October 20 th . See the poster on page 24 and request for auction items on page 25. There are two other recent happenings in Redwood. The first is the new fibre optic lines put in place for Eastlink users. Please contact Eastlink for further information. Also, as many of you will notice, there is digging going on around the community, especially on Wolf Drive. Please bear with us as we attempt to identify and fix leaks in our water system. If you have any questions regarding the above events or issues, please contact Townsite at (403) 949- 3563. Have a wonderful harvest season! email@example.com.
