Ashley Left side JOHN WHITTINGHAM / son of WILLIAM and / MARY WHITTINGHAM / of ASHLEY, who died / April 8th 1854 age 19 / years, Also / HARRIOT WHITTINGHAM / who died November 7th / 1854, aged 21 years Also / ANN COLSELLwho died / Feb y 3rd 1857 age 19 years / Also SARAH HUXLEY / who died in LONDON / December 7th 1852 / aged 28 years. 17e/ Sand stone tomb one side panel missing. Sacred to the memory / of RICHARD HAND / of GERRARDS BROMLEY in this county / He departed this life 29th day of May / 1818 in the 56th year of his age. East end panel.(Badly eroded) Sacred / to the memory / of .............. / ...................... / ............................... / .......................... / Feb........ 1821 / aged 23 years. 18e/ Two pieces of kerb. (Position changed due to Chapter House construction, could well be moved again to facilitate grass cutting, pieces are small) Kerb one. ARTHUR JONES / died Dec 6th 1932 / aged 65 years Kerb two Also ALICE HAND BR Kerb broken here) died April 11th 1935 / aged 58 years. 19e/ Tall sandstone headstone damaged top and left side. Was completely buried, found during construction of Chapter House, broken in two by machine, now laid flat in new position. JOYNSON / died Jany 5th / 1847. 1f/ Sandstone headstone with cut out design at top, central area completely eroded. Inscription around cut out edge at top. Weep not for me my children dear, I'm not dead but sleepimg here; / My time was......................grief was less / I'm gone from............to happiness. (Nothing else readable) Mason. Right side of top tier. Also JOHN LEIGHTON / who fell asleep Mar.11.1909 / aged 84 years. 4f/ Flat sandstone bodystone. In memory of / JOHN RYBURN / of CHATCULL VILLA who died / March 2 and was interred at / ASHLEY March 6th 1863 / aged 70 years / Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord. 5f/ Shaped sandstone headstone leaning forward.
