Crispenza
Crispenza is a spiky leafed crispy variety with excellent yield potential. It is a crispy
variety with juicy leaves and full BI resistance. It is strong against tipburn and
slow to bolt, which makes it very suitable for production in greenhouse and closed
controlled environment systems.

Crispinet is a lighter green crispy variety. It is strong against tipburn in hydroponic
settings, which makes it very suitable for production in greenhouse and closed
controlled environment systems.

Crispyano
Crispyano is a fast growing crispy variety with a compact shape. It is strong
against tipburn and bolting with a good base. This variety has an excellent taste,
dark green color, and a crisp, juicy texture. Works well for both high density and
whole head production. Successfully grown in closed controlled environment as
well as greenhouse systems.

Cristabel is a crispy variety with thick, dark green leaves. It is optimized for high
density production with fast growth and high yield potential. It has upright, 3D
leaves and a short core that make it ideal for automatic harvesting. It's strong
against tipburn and grows well in both greenhouse and closed controlled
environment settings.

Finley is a fast-growing Butterhead variety that is optimal for winter and
transitional seasons. It has a big frame, open top, more tipburn resistance, and a
nice cutting surface.

Casey
Casey is a long day variety good for indoor hydroponic growing. It is a fresh
medium-green colored Butterhead that is fast growing with excellent weight.
It has a strong Bremia package. Its strong root system is associated with high
performance under high light levels, both in greenhouses and indoor farms.

Fairly
Fairly is a medium-large green butterhead with a headsize 250-500 gram. It is
reliable under different conditions, with a high resistance to internal tipburn, which
makes it a good long day variety for hydroponics and indoor growing.

Veery is a fast-growing green Eazyleaf variety with wide, crispy leaves that are

Green Reef is a fast-growing variety, producing upright heads that are flexible
and compact. The highly-serrated green leaves have a thick texture and a narrow
attachment. It has excellent production, even in high density systems, and works
year-round for whole head or one cut harvests.

Skilton
Skilton is a fast growing, spiky green, coral EazyLeaf type with great size, yield,
and leaf structure. It's great for higher densities and automatic harvest due to its
upright growth and pliable leaves. It is very strong against tipburn and against
bolting in summer conditions.

Azirka is a triple red crispy variety. It is very thick with crunchy and tasty leaves,
and is a nice counterpart to green crispy lettuce. The medium large leaf is rounded
with a nice three dimensional structure. Works well for both high density and whole
head production.

Akane is a more vigorous Azirka type with a triple red color, slightly open head,
rough curl, and good color penetration.

Litska
Litska is a beautiful, shiny, cherry-red colored Lollo Rossa. It has strong and
flexible leaves for easy packing with a nice shape and exhibits a high tolerance for
tipburn. Litska is fast growing for a red variety, and is a nice counterpart to green
crispy lettuce. It's also ideal in a trio with Jokary and Rosalyn.

medium-green leaves that are smooth and lobed. It is fast with a higher yield
compared to other wild arugula varieties and has a good shelf life after processing.

Tricia is a very fast variety with good uniformity, medium serrated leaves, and
upright growth for easy harvest. It is strong against Downy Mildew and has shown
good tolerance against bolting.

Evi is our newest basil variety with excellent downy mildew resistance. Leaves are
medium sized with good cupping and typical Genovese aroma. Evi works well in
CEA applications.

Dolly is our largest-leaved Genovese type basil. It is fast-growing with uniform
leaves and excellent flavor and aroma. Dolly demonstrates better tolerance against
low temperatures compared to other basil varieties.

Rosie
Rosie is a beautiful red variety with an intense, solid dark-red color. It is compact
with upright growth and strong stems.
Marian
Marian is a pot variety of the Genovese type with a very dark green colour and
small to medium sized leaves. It is strong against tip burn and leaf damage during
packaging. The improved cold tolerance offers security during the transport phase
under problematic conditions.
Keira
Keira is a compact, reliable Genovese type basil that is suitable for both living
production and fresh market uses. It has excellent post-harvest cold tolerance and
grows well in both greenhouses and vertical farms.

Teddy is a compact dill variety with short hypocotyls. Excellent for potted herb
production and open field due to its short plant habit, leaf pattern rotating the
stem and bright spring green color. Also fits well in a clamshell due to leaf length.

Resistances
Resistances in varieties of our crops will be coded (please, see our coding
list on www.enzazaden.com for explanation), unless indicated otherwise.
Varieties claiming the same level of resistance against a specific pest or
pathogen may exhibit a different resistance response due to a different
genetic makeup of a variety.It is to be noted that if a resistance is claimed
in a plant variety it is limited to the specified biotypes, pathotypes, races or
strains of the pest or pathogen.
If no biotypes, pathotypes, races or strains are specified in the resistance
claim for the variety, it is because no generally accepted classification
of the cited pest by biotype, pathotype, race or strain exists. In this case
resistance is only claimed against certain not further specified isolates of
that pathogen. New biotypes, pathotypes, races or strains that may emerge
are not covered by the original resistance claim.
Immunity: not subject to attack or infection by a specified pest or pathogen
Resistance: the ability of a plant variety to restrict the growth and
development of a specified pest or pathogen and/or the damage they cause
when compared to susceptible plant varieties under similar environmental
conditions and pest or pathogen pressure. Resistant varieties may exhibit
some disease symptoms or damage under heavy pest or pathogen pressure.
Two levels of resistance are defined:
• High resistance (HR): plant varieties that highly restrict the growth
and development of the specified pest or pathogen under normal pest
orpathogen pressure when compared to susceptible varieties. These
plant varieties may, however, exhibit some symptoms or damage under
heavy pest or pathogen pressure.
• Intermediate resistance (IR): plant varieties that restrict the growth
and development of the specified pest or pathogen, but may exhibit a
greater range of symptoms or damage compared to highly resistant
varieties. Intermediate resistant plant varieties will still show less
severe symptoms or damage than susceptible plant varieties when
grown under similar environmental conditions and/or pest or pathogen
pressure.
Susceptibility: the inability of a plant variety to restrict the growth and
development of a specified pest or pathogen.
Tolerance: the ability of a plant variety to endure abiotic stress without
serious consequences for growth, appearance and yield. Vegetable
companies will continue to use tolerance for abiotic stress.
