Kyrö Pink Gin is the result of the team in Finland exploring 

what a pink gin could be if it was made for everyone. The 

result was an expression made with its excellent rye-based gin, 

infused with a combo of foraged strawberries, lingonberries, 

and rhubarb. It's an enjoyably creamy gin, with the sweetness 

of the berries and rhubarb balancing the herbaceous, spicy 

notes from the spirit itself. Marvellous for refreshing summer 

tipples, but we're certain this will almost be brilliant in some 

warming winter cocktails, too... 

KYRO GIN 50cl 42.6% 

The Kyrö Distillery in Isokyrö, Finland created this well-loved 

gin to evoke the flavours of fresh Finnish summers – made 

with local rye grain and botanicals including birch leaves and 

meadowsweet, we'd say mission accomplished. It was even was 

voted as the World's Best Gin for Gin & Tonic by the IWSC 

in 2015, so get your tonic ice, fresh cranberries and a sprig 

of rosemary to garnish to enjoy this one. Top work from the 

'Adventurous Rye Rye Gentlemen'! 

Hayman’s Peach & Rose combines our London 

Dry with notes of fresh peach, sweet rose and 

juicy orchard fruit. Delicious served in a large wine 

glass with premium lemonade and fruit garnish. 

Made in small batches, these flavours will take you 

into the summer with a drink that is bursting with 

bright natural fruit and is subtly sweet. Perfect for 

sharing with friends and family at picnics, BBQs and 

outdoor get-togethers.

Hayman’s Sloe Gin is made by gently infusing wild

Doppelgänger is an Italian style aperitivo, albeit made by us, in Battersea and is 

England’s answer to Aperol! Made with a flash of artistry and the amalgamation 

of 19 hand selected botanicals on a base English wheat spirit. Inviting citrus 

and hints of aromatic roots on the nose, its bitter-sweet palate is citrus and 

rosella (hibiscus) led, and underlaid by earthy and herbaceous flavours. The 

finish is proper moreish making it the perfect English summer afternoon quaffer 

accompanied by your favourite house music tracks.

A classic Amaretto from Luxardo, perfect for all your cocktail needs. Intriguingly, 

though it tastes like almonds, there's not a trace of the nut to be found – the 

flavour actually comes from the essential oils from the pits of cherries, peaches, 

and apricots! 

LUXARDO MARASCHINO CHERRIES

A classic Amaretto from Luxardo, perfect for all your cocktail needs. 

Intriguingly, these are candied cherries soaked in Luxardo marasca cherry 

syrup. The percentage of marasca cherries in jars and tins is about 50% 

and so is the percentage of syrup. No thickening agents of any type and no 

preservatives are used and the dark red color is all natural. Today, like in the 

golden age of cocktails, Luxardo Original Maraschino Cherries are used in 

the worlds’ best bars and by the most famous mixologists as a garnish in their 

creations. The syrup itself may be used in many cocktails as a flavored sugar. 

They are also ideal over ice cream.

with Russia, it is not made in Russia nor under Russian 

ownership or control. They have also made it clear they 

stand with Ukraine and don't support either Putin or his war

For over 130 years, Corazon have been producing tequila. Distilled in the Highlands of Jalisco, 

Mexico, the award-winning Corazon Tequila is made from local blue Weber agave by a group 

of artisans who hold themselves to the highest standards.

Distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave, Corazón's Reposado expression is aged in 

Canadian oak barrels for around six to eight months before being bottled in handblown 

glass bottles. And rather lovely bottles they are too, wooden stopper and all.

Corazón certainly knows how to make great tequila and this delicious, unaged 

Blanco is proof. A single estate tequila that shines in Margaritas or other cocktails, 

it won a Double Gold medal at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

WE'RE EAST LONDON LIQUOR COMPANY. 

NAMED AFTER THE PLACE AND SOAKED IN ITS SPIRIT. 

GOOD GRAIN. 

London has almost everything, but golden fields of barley it 

does not. So, we tracked down Crisp Malt in East Anglia, the best 

in the biz. Not only are they the closest supplier we could find 

to London, but they’re based in an area known for its rich, fertile 

soil. Our distillers love working with their heritage varietals of 

barley compared to higher-yielding, more contemporary strains. 

LONG WAY. 

All the spent grain and botanicals left over from our whisky 

and gin distillations go straight to Tower Hamlets for anaerobic 

digestion. Along with general food waste, enzymes break it 

down into natural gas that’s fed back into the grid. 

THERE'S NO BOOZE WITHOUT BUGS. 

Think about it… 

If there were no bugs, there would be no plants, which would leave us 

with no botanicals to jazz up our booze. WILD. 

East London is where we distil and serve booze with bottle. But it's also the way we do it.

Theo started off by brewing a few batches of Steady Rolling 

Man (SRM), the flagship beer, at local breweries (often referred 

to as Cuckoo brewing) whilst looking for a permanent site and 

brew kit. In January 2016 they got the keys to their original site 

and started brewing in the spring of that year. For the first six 

months they focussed almost exclusively on perfecting the recipe 

for SRM before moving on to other hoppy, East Coast leaning 

beers.

for mixed fermentation production, while the old taproom is a 

mixed fermentation taproom and private hire space. 

In late 2019 /early 2020 DEYA moved into a bigger unit to help 

make more beer, which is where they are now. Production on 

a 40hl, 4 vessel brew kit began in January 2020 with the new

Cheltenham, UK with a focus on hoppy 

beers, lagers, traditional UK styles and 

mixed fermentation ales. No matter 

the style, the aim is to make fresh, 

world class beer. 

Founded in 2015 by Theo Freyne, fresh from 

completing his Masters in Brewing and Distilling, 

the vision was to introduce American-style hoppy 

beers to Cheltenham. We could tell the story, but I 

feel it’s always best to hear it from the horse’s mouth: 

“I started off as a home brewer and quickly developed the idea of starting a brewery. 

I did an undergraduate degree at Edinburgh University and then the following year 

I did the Masters in Brewing & Distilling, so I basically went straight from Uni, to the Masters 

course, to launching the brewery. I went to Heriot Watt in 2014 and did the Masters there. I got 

some internships at some different breweries after that, and then launched in 2015. DEYA is very 

American brewery influenced, and focused on hoppy beers – so hoppy pales, hoppy IPAs. I did a 

three month internship at Odell Brewing in Colorado. So I had some first-hand insight into that 

and I’d done the Masters by then, so I had a decent technical background as well. I was very 

American influenced anyway and by spending time there that cemented my interest and that 

influence on me, and I felt I was ready to launch the company then.” 

IT’S ALL IN THE NAME 

DEYA is the English spelling of a place in Mallorca called Deia. 

CRAFT 

When naming the brewery Theo wanted something that was not area 

specific or restricting in any way. The name is meaningless to some extent 

(although clearly a nod to a really beautiful place). 

As the name is quite abstract and they’ve built up the imagery/brand 

behind the name.

BRANDING 

“It’s very much fundamental to what we do as a business. 

Tom Hobson is our artist, and he’s a full-time employee, so 

he’s our in-house artist and that’s his full time job. I met Tom 

before launching the brewery. And since then we’ve worked 

together on everything. So I’ll come up with the names and 

the sort of design concepts, but it’s very much him, he leads it 

and he does all the designs. He’s fundamental to our brewery 

and fundamental to the brand aesthetic. We’ve developed that 

together, but obviously, he’s the artist. We had that from the 

start. We knew how important that was. I had a pretty good 

idea of what I wanted but then since then I’ve learned to let 

Tom really run with it and not stifle him in any way. Because 

then there is the creative sort of force behind it, even though 

I’m giving him the direction. He’s brilliant. I mean, it’s hard to 

understate how important he is to the business. In some ways, 

it’s as important for it to stand out as it is to be good, you want it 

to be fantastic, and I do think his work is fantastic. But the fact 

that people recognise it as ours is really, really important to us.” 

The crocodile came from the original Into the Haze label 

and has been developed and developed since into DEYA’s core 

character, Domingo Robinson, and logo. 

The on-site Taproom at the main site is at the heart of the 

brewery and is open every week for fresh tins and delicious draft 

pours. DEYA take a holistic approach to business, striving to be 

the best employer they possibly can be, while operating in a fair, 

sustainable and human driven way. 

“We want to be an excellent company in lots of different ways, 

and certainly company culture and values, and who we are, is 

a massive part of that. When you’re a growing company, it’s 

not an excuse, but there can be oversights. We don’t want to 

make those mistakes, so we’re trying to be proactive to make 

sure we don’t make those mistakes. We’ve got 29 employees. 

Two or three years ago, we were probably 12 employees, we’ve 

grown massively. So it’s a family company, and the family ethos 

is there, but we have to be so clear, and structured about how 

that is put across to the employees. And it is going to take a lot 

of work from us.” 

HOW IMPORTANT IS SUSTAINABILITY 

TO THE BREWERY? 

“Massively important, and we’ve gone pretty deep on 

sustainability. In 2020, we had a full carbon audit done on the 

whole company. We’re now off-setting our whole CO2 output – 

we’ve invested in peat restoration projects local to the brewery. 

We’ve made a host of different changes to how we do stuff to 

become more sustainable. We put details on our cans with a QR 

code that takes you to the sustainability page on our website. So 

for our core beers you know exactly how much CO2 it took to 

create that beer. We track our carbon emissions each month with 

a portal that we have which measures sustainability, we have 

someone in the company who’s responsible for our sustainability. 

So for a small company, we’ve done a lot. We take it seriously. 

But we can always get better. We can always improve what we do. 

We went all in on it. But I think that’s the only way of doing it. 

In terms of materials, too, we’ve changed a lot. All our clothing 

now is sustainable material. We’ve decreased the amount of 

plastics we’re using, and if we can change for an alternative 

option which is more sustainable, then we’ll do that. We offer 

on our website and through our taproom that you can offset 

your can of beer for 1p per can. We pay around £20k a 

year in carbon credits to offset our production and we allow 

customers to buy into that, 

not only emotionally, but 

they can buy in to it also 

financially. There’s so 

much more we can do. 

But it’s a good start.”

HAZY PALES/ IPAS

Hazy pale ales are known for their unique juicy and 

fruity flavours, often with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, 

and stone fruit. Summer in a glass, right?! This flavour 

profile comes from the use of certain hops varieties 

and bespoke yeast used in the brewing process that 

then provide a completely different flavour profile to 

traditional ales or lagers. 

The hazy pale ale and IPA style has gained popularity 

over the past decade due to its association with “New 

England” beer styles, which originated in the Northeastern 

United States (hence the name) The hazy 

appearance is due to the presence of suspended 

particles, such as yeast and highly aromatic hop oils, 

which are intentionally left in the beer to maximise 

flavour and texture. Sometimes when you remove 

these particles you can lose an essence of the highly 

tropical and citrussy taste as well as a full and smooth 

mouthfeel. The hops are added at various stages of the 

brewing process, including during the whirlpool and 

‘dry hopping’ phases. If you add the hops early on in the 

brewing process the end result is a more bitter flavour, 

whereas if they are added at a later stage, they provide a 

softer flavour but provide an abundant fragrant assault 

on your senses. I guess it’s a bit like making a cup of 

tea; the longer you leave the bag boiling water the more 

likely you’ll end up with a bitter cup of tea. Does that 

analogy work? In our heads, yes. You get the idea. 

As craft beer culture has grown over the past decade, 

hazy beers have become a popular choice among 

beer enthusiasts who are always seeking new and 

interesting beer styles to try. The lower bitterness 

compared to traditional pale ales or IPAs makes them 

more approachable to drinkers who may be put off 

by the bitter hop flavours and aromas found in other 

beer styles. Think of things like Sierra Nevada or Brew 

Dog Punk IPA, both beers would be classed as a more 

‘traditional or ‘West Coast’ style of IPA with an emphasis 

on a more spiky and resinous beer, which is super dry 

and refreshing. These days the pendulum has swung to 

the East Coast with people looking for a softer, fragrant 

and hazier alternative such as Verdant Sundialer or 

Deya Steady Rolling Man. 

The hazy appearance of A New England style beer can 

be something that is truly unique and visually appealing 

compared to other drinks. Having a beer that resembles 

an orange juice can certainly turn some heads. In our 

minds, if you can’t shine a light through your pint, you 

could be on to a delicious winner.

THAT’S ENOUGH TO RAISE A TOAST TO, RIGHT? 

After a relatively gloomy and grey start to Spring it’s great to see our good old friend make 

a welcome appearance and break up some of those cloudy skies for us. In our heads, Sunshine Beers 

are a mindset; it’s a way of life that can be enjoyed all year round, not just in the summer. 

But, as summer is now upon us, I reckon it’s fitting to shine a light on some of our favourite styles 

and beers that we just can’t get enough of. Let’s take a gander at what makes a beer a Sunshine Beer... 

Now it’s time to give a small nod of appreciation to our 

lip smacking, face melting favourites. Hope you have your 

Rennies at the ready (please note other antacid tablets 

are available). 

Sour beer can be produced by introducing bacteria, typically 

Lactobacillus or Pediococcus, to the brewing process. The 

bacteria metabolise the sugars in the wort (unfermented 

beer) and produce lactic acid, which gives the beer its sour 

taste. Now to a lot of us, the idea of a sour beer can be 

pretty rank and something that’s generally reserved for 

beer we pass back to the bar person after it’s gone off. But 

bear with us, there is a method to this madness: 

Sour beers tend to have a crisp and refreshing flavour 

profile, often with a tart and acidic taste. These beers 

can be particularly thirst-quenching on a hot summer 

day and can be a welcome change from sweeter or 

heavier beer styles. 

Sour beers come in a variety of flavours and traditional 

styles such as Berliner Weisse or Gose, to some 

more experimental variants like fruited sour ales and 

barrel-aged sours. The addition of other adjuncts such 

as fruit puree, chocolate or even coffee can provide a 

truly delicious and unique flavour journey. Vault City 

Strawberry Sundae is a great example and one of our 

absolute go to’s. These wide range of flavours can 

provide a lot of variety and choice for beer drinkers 

looking for something new, different, and most 

importantly, delicious. 

It’s all about the session! There’s a whole array of sour 

beers have a lower alcohol content compared to other 

beer styles. One of our favourites is Yonder Raspberry 

Gose, which sits a supping-ly splendid 4% This can 

make them more suitable for those sunny day drinking 

type of days during the hotter months, and with the 

sensible abv can provide you with the stamina 

Finally, a bit like our hazy pale and IPA pals, the visual 

appearance of a sour beer can be very appealing. A 

fruited sour in particular can have a striking colour and 

rich look to it from the addition of fruits.

And finally, we roll round to the true OG of the Summer Beer Drinking Scene. Please be upstanding if you can for our dear, 

dear friend; Lager. 

Lagers are known for their crisp and clean flavour profile, with a smooth and easy-drinking mouthfeel. This makes them 

incredibly refreshing on a hot summer day and a great option for those who want a beer that has a wide appeal, large 

demographic and ultimately is easy to drink. 

A lot of popular Lager styles typically have a lighter body compared to other beers. Something like a Lost and Grounded 

Helles has a delightfully soft and bready body that is then balanced by an array of spicy German hops. The end result is a 

supremely crushable lager with minimal bitterness. Oof. That’s what we came here for, isn’t it?! 

IT HAS BEEN A STRUGGLE TO NAIL DOWN OUR FAVOURITE SUNSHINE BEERS, 

BUT AFTER A LOT OF DELIBERATING (AND TASTE TESTING, OF COURSE…) 

WE DON’T THINK YOU CAN GET MUCH BETTER THAN THESE: 

HAZY PALES/ IPAS 

Many lagers have a lower alcohol content compared to other beer styles, varying from between 4-5% ABV, which can 

make them more suitable for drinking over a big ol’ session. Or, if you’re looking for a beer to pair with food, the crisp and 

clean flavour profile of lagers can be a great pairing with an array of foods including grilled meats, burgers, and seafood. 

In particular they can work well with spicy or flavourful dishes also, as the clean taste of the beer can help to cut through 

the heat and intensity of the food.

English village of Yattendon; which has inspired the 

thinking behind many of their brews, branding and

Named after the former village of Prosecco, now part of 

the Italian city of Trieste. 

Prosecco DOC is both a geographical destination and 

the former name of the region's primary grape variety, 

which is now called Glera. Prosecco can be a little sweeter 

than Champagne, with bigger bubbles and lively tastes of 

apple, pear, lemon rind, light flowers and even tropical fruit. 

The term 'brut' means that the wine is very dry, and it has 

very little sugar consistency.

ALBARIÑO WINE 

("alba-reen-yo") 

Albariño wine is a delightful coastal white that grows on the Iberian 

Peninsula and is beautifully refreshing. Think rich stone fruit flavours, 

a hint of salinity, and zippy acidity. If you love your Sauvignon Blanc 

you are in for a treat!

The grapes are tiny with thick skins which make Albariño 

harder to produce, and we can see the harvest of 22 was 

problematic. Albariño vineyards of Rias Biaxas have a 

very different look. Vines are trellised above your head on 

Pergolas to help keep grapes dry and rot-free. 

We tend to drink Albariño at a young age, it does have the 

potential to age beautifully. 

And the fizz? Most Vinho Verde today is artificially carbonated but back in the day the carbonation happened when winemakers bottled 

so quickly that the fermentation would finish in the bottle. Nowadays, you’ll find higher end producers moving away from carbonation all 

together. These wines are on par with some of the best in Europe! 

So, if you get your hands on a bottle – no matter the price, – you are drinking rare juice! 

There are two main “homes” where Albariño can be 

widely found: Rías Baixas in Spain, and Vinho Verde in 

Portugal (where it’s called Alvarinho) although you will 

find this in many different regions.

RÍAS BAIXAS 

VINHO VERDE 

WINE 

These vineyards are located on the north-western coast of 

Spain, in the region of Galicia. In the Galician dialect, 

the name Rías Baixas means “Lower Rias”, and this refers 

to the four estuaries that dissect the area. These estuaries 

are an amazing home to a rich diversity of marine life. 

They shape the landscape and are a major part of what 

make Albariño from Rías Baixas vineyards so unique. 

There are five distinct vineyard sub-regions in Rías Baixas, 

namely Val do Salnés, O Rosal, Condado do Tea, 

Soutomaior, and Ribeira do Ulla. 

Arinto: 

Also called “Pederna,” it is arguably 

Portugal’s finest white grape. Expect juicy 

melon and citrus with some bitter notes on 

the finish. Great examples can age 7+ years! 

Loureiro: 

If there were such a thing as 

“The Riesling of Portugal” 

this would be it. 

Most Vinho Verde are bright, dry wines with some spritz 

(carbonation), and lower alcohol levels. You’ll find the local 

people have vineyards and grow grapes for the regional 

Vinho Verde wine. There are around 20,000 different 

growers in the region, with small plots, growing lots of 

different grapes like Loureiro, Alvarinho, Arinto and 

more, which are generally thrown in together. The Vinho 

Verde DOC has a total of nine sub-regions and borders 

Spain, has a warmer climate because the hills stop the 

heavy rains and are known for its super-value wines. These 

are loved for mouth-zapping acidity, subtle carbonation, 

and lower alcohol – making them a great choice for 

summer. As you delve into the region you realize this 

seemingly cheap, fizzy wine is something truly special. 

Alvarinho: 

The same grape as Spain’s Albariño 

and produces wines with grapefruit 

and floral notes. This is another serious 

grape to watch. 

ALBANTA ALBARINO £9.90 

O Rosal is a small, coastal sub-region south of Val do Salnés. It follows the 

northern bank of the Miño River, looking out to Portugal on its southern bank. 

The vineyards directly along the river are planted on terraces, with excellent 

sun exposure. This area is slightly warmer with alluvial topsoil over granite and 

outcrops of slate. Albariño is often bottled varietally, but when it is blended, 

Loureiro is the secondary grape variety authorized in O Rosal. In general, 

the white wines of O Rosal have intense stone fruit flavours and a rounded 

mouthfeel and the Albanta is an excellent expression of the region and the 

variety. 

Not only has it just been awarded the only Gold Medal for Albarino wines 

at the 2023 International Wine Challenge; but it also won the trophy for 

Spanish White Wine of the Year! The IWC is a prestigious competition, 

so this is a really serious award, and we are so pleased that yet another of our 

wines has been recognised.

AZEVEDO, VINHO 

VERDE LOUREIRO/ 

ALVARINHO £7.90 

The 35-hectare Azevedo estate is located in the Vinho Verde 

sub-region of Cávado, just 25 kilometres from the Atlantic 

coast. The land was granted to the Azevedo family by royal 

decree in the 12th century and the manor house and tower 

(seen on the labels) date back to the 15th century. However, 

this fantastic history is in contrast to a very modern approach 

to viticulture and winemaking. The Loureiro/Alvarinho is a 

crisp and refreshing wine, boasting aromas of ripe citrus fruit, 

nectarine and freshly cut apple.

Erosion over the last 120 million years left uncovered the Cretaceous soils of the time of the dinosaurs. 

These soils are now the reign of our best vines. Located on Cidacos´s Valley, the oldest soil from Rioja 

and one of the oldest in Europe. Garnacha vines are older than 60 years. The 30-year-old Graciano 

vines are on the sun-side slope, which is important to improve natural maturity and to reduce acidity. 

Intense cherry colour, with purple shades. High aromatic intensity. Silky with long aftertaste to red 

fruits and chocolate. Flowers and spices are combined. 

Located on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, where there are terraces with shallow soils and little 

surface. The mountains protect the vines from the winter rigors coming from the north. The vines are 

between 40 and 60 years old. Fruity in the nose with fresh red fruits, mineral notes and subtle hints 

of sweet spices. In the mouth pleasant and glyceric, intense. It is long and fresh. Aftertaste leave an 

impression of fruit with notes of minerality.

Located in a subzone of Monte Yerga. Tertiary soils, of an ancient Cretaceous lake. Clay-limestone 

subsoils with gravels at an altitude of 620m. Mediterranean climate with Continental influence. This 

area is well known through the Barranco Perdido, the largest deposit of dinosaur footprints from 

Europe. Intense aromas of tropical fruits with some nuances to white fruits. Due the natural acidity, it 

is a really fresh wine.

Born in La Mancha, on the Castilian plateau, where the largest vineyard of the world is grown. The 

four Calleja brothers, all of them winemakers, contributed with their knowledge and experience in 

the creation of this Bio Wine. On the one hand, Ángel Calleja who has worked in the Rueda Wine 

Cooperative for 45 years. On the other hand, Juan Antonio Calleja occupied in La Mancha -in the Wine 

Cooperative from Corral de Almaguer- for 40 years. Luis Ángel Calleja is the Technical Director en Utiel 

Requena (Valencia), and, last but not at least, Eulogio Calleja, with about 40 years of experience in the 

Spanish wine world. Eulogio is together with Javier Rodríguez, owner and soul of the Wine Company 

Eulogio & Javier Wines. Javier also runs the winery Rodríguez y Sanzo, awarded as Best Winery of 

Spain in 2014. Intense cherry colour with passion red edges. Aromas of red fruit, spices and hints

Staying in the Galician region of northern Spain we find the D.O. Monterrei. Located in 

the south-eastern corner of Galicia, bordering Portugal, with winemaking being introduced 

to the area by the ancient Romans. In 1994, Monterrei regained the DO status that

The island of Martinique is all 

about its agricole rums made 

from fresh sugarcane juice and 

we start to think about that 

French word Terroir which is how 

the land and the environment 

affects the sugar cane to create 

different flavours and ultimately 

styles in the end product. 

Christopher Columbus might 

have introduced sugar cane 

to South America and the 

Caribbean in the late 15th 

century, and been distilling from 

around the mid-16th century 

but the rest of the world has 

mastered the distillation process 

and the quality of rums from 

non-traditional countries can be 

just as great. 

So here are 15 of my favourite

Sometimes labelled as “silver” or “plata,” blanco tequila is typically unaged, though some versions of the style can 

be aged for up to two months. Because most blancos do not spend time aging in oak, connoisseur’s tout it as agave’s 

most undiluted expression; straight from the earth to the bottle. 

With a youthful punch and brightness that many aged tequilas lack, blancos can make an excellent accompaniment in 

mixed drinks and show herbal, mineral, and citrus notes that complement tart cocktails such as the Paloma and Margarita.

Despite its colour, gold tequila is rarely aged. In fact, you might call gold tequila an impostor, a marketing gimmick even. 

In many cases, gold tequila is the result of caramel colouring added to agave juices before fermentation to give the spirit a 

more “refined” look. 

Gold tequila is often used for shots. The smoother, slightly sweet taste (a result of additives or brief aging) is less harsh than 

fresh tequila. Because of the hint of sweetness, many bartenders will use gold tequila in margaritas to complement the 

mixed drinks fruity flavours.

Some things are better with age, and añejo fans would add tequila to that list: The expression, which translates to “old,” 

must be aged in an oak barrel for between one and three years. The barrel size is limited to 600 litres, maximizing 

interaction between the wood and the tequila and yielding a dark amber colour, a smooth mouthfeel, and a complex flavour 

with oak-forward notes of vanilla, caramel, baking spices, and dried fruit. Thanks to its richer flavours, añejo is typically 

consumed as a sipping tequila, but it also makes a good stand-in for whiskey in cocktails such as the Añejo Old Fashioned. 

The majority of these bottles can be described as tequila based liqueurs. They are fantastic to drink neat but also make a 

great base for cocktails. We love using the El Sueno range as a twist on your classic Margarita!

MEZCAL 

Mezcal is commonly referred to as tequila's smoky cousin. Not all mezcals are tequilas, but all tequilas are mezcals. Tequila is 

created from a unique kind of agave called blue weber agave. Mezcal, however, may be manufactured from a variety of agave 

plants, several of which are native to Oaxaca. Because of the piña's (heart of the plant) cooking method, mezcal has a stronger

ETHOS 

We love working with small, like-minded local businesses. 

From our packaging, suppliers, distillery and our lovely 

stockists. In an effort to reduce waste, we donate all of our 

used cardboard to The Nagundo Tree Flower Studio, a local 

Buckinghamshire florist, and it's then re-used as part of a 

"no dig" method which is a regenerative farming technique 

used by sustainable farmers.

HELLO! 

Hi there, I'm Nelli and I'm the founder of 

Old Amersham Gin. I started OAG in 2018 

with my Dad, David. We began by growing 

and experimenting with lots of different 

British-grown botanicals in the garden 

of our family pub in Old Amersham, The 

Kings Arms Hotel. (You may recognise us 

from the setting of Four Weddings and 

a Funeral!) We enjoyed serving everyone 

their G&T's so much, we thought, "why not 

make our own?!"

Through our work in the hospitality 

industry, we have seen first-hand the rise 

in demand for premium flavoured gins that 

offer a modern twist on the traditional 

juniper-forward profile. To put it bluntly, we 

wanted to create unique products to serve 

at the pub, that look cool and taste great!
