Can you remember

person caught your 

eye and you were 

smitten. There was 

a rush of feeling 

that you won’t 

forget. Maybe you fell in love the 

first time you laid eyes upon your 

newborn baby. Perhaps that instant affection 

was for the person who would become 

your spouse. Love is good. Did you know 

God loves you? Love is not just a thought 

or a feeling. True love is a person and that 

person’s name is Jesus. The awesome love 

of God for you is so great that it caused 

Jesus to come down from heaven to win 

your salvation. This is the divine truth. The 

Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association 

exists to share this good news. 

The Ocean Grove Camp 

Meeting Association’s 

theme for 2023 is “Truth 

in Love,” coming from 

Ephesians 4:15. The 

context of the verse is 

that Christians become 

mature believers when 

we reach unity in the 

faith and knowledge 

of the Son of God. Throughout the summer 

and year-round there will be sermons, 

teaching, songs, drama, Christian exercise, 

and events designed to convey God’s love 

to Ocean Grove visitors and residents. 

Ocean Grove was founded as a Christian 

seaside resort. There’s no better place to 

reconnect with the God who loves you so 

deeply. How will you draw closer to Him in 

2023? Will you feel His presence by joining 

the choir and sing hymns of praise? Will 

you seek Him while listening to scripture 

in Bible Hour? Will you bring others to the 

Great Auditorium, Bishop Janes Tabernacle, 

Boardwalk Pavilion, or special event 

so they can meet the God whom you love? 

Perhaps you will make a date with God for 

a walk on the new pier or attend a beach 

concert. Don’t settle for a lukewarm relationship.

The mission of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, rooted in its Methodist 

heritage, is to provide opportunities for spiritual birth, growth, and renewal through

Jr. Lifeguards will begin the week of June 

26 and run through July 28. All practices 

will be held on Middle Beach.

AM except days when there are tournaments. 

Cost is $140 (includes all tournament

“Truth in Love” is 

this year’s theme. 

Taken from Ephesians 4, a deeper 

look has Paul encouraging us to 

“live a life worthy of the calling [we] 

have received;” a calling to a life 

described as “humble, gentle and 

patient, bearing with one another in 

love.” How beautiful is that? We are 

called to love, and to do so patiently, 

humbly and gently! Now this is 

something we can all get behind! 

It takes time. We can be patient. 

It takes humility. We are what we do, 

not simply what we preach. 

It takes kindness. Let’s go gently; 

together. 

Let’s move forward in Ocean Grove. 

Let’s be true to our calling here. Let 

our “Truth in Love” be evident by a 

“life worthy” of this calling. 

Are you with me? Because your continued 

support is invaluable here. 

We can do this, but only if we do it
