IT ALL STARTED WITH

The first Mercedes shipped

to the east was traded by

TGF, 5000 cases of them were

exchanged for the Mercedes.

ORANGES

In 1928, the Gargour family founded T. Gargour & Fils (TGF). By 1959, a new chapter in the Gargour

family’s journey had begun; the start of Lecico, a budding tile-making firm. In 1967, Lecico diversified

into the production of sanitary products. Their close friend Joseph Gorra, urged them to invest in

the business after their move to Lebanon. By 1977, Lecico had grown exponentially, but the Gargour

family were far from done and set their sights on a new market - Egypt. The company flourished in

Egypt and soon started reaching new heights of success. TGF is still run today by the Gargour family

alongside Lecico and remains the sole distributor of the iconic Mercedes Benz in Lebanon and Jordan.

OUR COMMITMENT TO

Balanced printing

At Lecico Bathrooms we are committed to

sustainable sourcing and production, this

includes minimising the carbon impact of

our brochure production.

Our partnership with Deltor benefits from their ISO14001

Environmental Management, ISO9001 Quality Management

Certification and FSC® Chain of Custody Certified printing

plant where more than 14000 sq. ft of solar panels are utilised

for power generation, our brochures are produced from

sustainably sourced energy.

Deltor are one of the greenest printers in the UK, actively

seeking ways to reduce the effect they have on the

environment by monitoring processes and the materials

they use.

In addition, any remaining emissions from the production

process are calculated and then offset with the World Land

Trust (WLT).

The printing plant has balanced the equivalent of 140 tonnes

of CO2 - This directly helps WLT protect over 24 acres of

threatened forest and habitat.

World Land Trust is an international conservation charity

that protects the world’s most biologically significant and

threatened habitats, acre by acre.

Since its foundation in 1989, World Land Trust has funded

partner organisations around the world to create reserves

and give permanent protection to habitats and wildlife.

To date, World Land Trust has helped secure more than

881,000 acres of threatened habitat in 20 countries. The work

of World Land Trust is actively supported by their passionate

and dedicated patrons.

A UNIQUE AND

Limited resource

At Lecico we know that water is a unique and

limited resource. We’re committed to reducing

the amount of water used in the operation of

our WCs; most come with a

dual flush mechanism as standard.

In addition we are now able to offer an increasing number

of products within our ranges which only require 4/2.6 litres

of water for flushing. This represents a significant saving on

utility bills.

Other current developments include the addition of

delayed fill inlet valves for our range of WCs and our exclusive

distribution partnership with Propelair.

As a manufacturer of bathroom ceramics we are aiding

governments in their quest to reduce water consumption

by producing new, exciting, innovative and technologically

advanced bathroom products.

We’ve also pledged our commitment to the Unified Water

Label scheme. The scheme provides easy access to a

comparative database of bathroom products, which when

installed and used correctly will use less water, save energy

and save money.

Throughout the brochure you will find the UWLA efficiency

ratings where applicable.

Leak Free, Syphon Technology Low Flush WC

The Problems

Leaking toilets waste between 215 and 400 litres of clean

drinking water on average every day.

Between 5 and 8% of toilets in the UK are leaking, mostly

dual flush toilets.

A principle cause of a leaking toilet is a faulty button

operated flush valve.

Syphons cannot leak when they fail, however syphons

traditionally use lever control which is seen as outdated.

The Solutions

A syphon operated cistern actuated with a push button.

A product that has no joint beneath the waterline.

A product that lifts water up.

reliable and accessible to the fullest

extent. We pride ourselves in offering

a large array of Doc M, peninsular and

ambulant packs.

Taps

The configuration of the taps in Doc M packs are to the left or the right, always closest to

the position of the WC for ease of use. Doc M packs for use in public areas also include a

TMV3 thermostatic tap to control water temperature and prevent scolding. These taps

are lever sequentially operated lever taps for ease of use.

Low Level

Basins

A wide range of wall hung washbasins are

available in Doc M packs allowing access for

wheelchair users. Most common washbasin

sizes are 40cm and 50cm.

WCs

A wide range of raised height WC options are

available within Doc M packs, the additional

height ensures the WC is easier to mount.

WCs include Close Coupled WCs, Back-to-

Wall WCs and Low Level WCs. Cisterns are

lever operated for ease of use and some Doc

M packs also include back support rests.

Close Coupled

Seats

Doc M WC seats are supplied incorporating

retainers which limit the amount of

movement in the seat, this provides a more

comfortable solution and prevents seats

becoming loose.

Document M of the Building Regulations (2004) and

BS 8300-2009 provide government guidance on the

Sanitaryware – Lifetime guarantee against any

manufacturing defects on all ceramic

Toilet seats – 5 year guarantee

Brassware – 5 year guarantee on all chrome taps and

Acrylic baths – 25 years guarantee on baths, 2 years on

bath panels

Steel baths – 2 years guarantee

Flushing mechanisms, concealed cisterns and wall

mounting frames – 1 year guarantee

Guarantee Limitations

All product guarantees cover manufacturing defects

only. Damage caused by accidental damage, excessive

wear and tear or improper installation will not be

covered. All guarantees cover the replacement of the

original product with the same item if possible. If a

product has become obsolete then an alternative

similar product will be offered. The cost of re-installation

is not covered by the guarantee. Brassware guarantee

does not cover damage covered by calcium deposits.

Bathroom furniture is designed to withstand a wet

environment but does not include immersion or

exposure to leaks. Proof of purchase date is required for

us to honour these guarantees, please keep your

purchase receipts safe. It is not necessary to register

your guarantee with us. All guarantees are transferable

provided you have the original proof of purchase.

Regular Servicing

Bathroom products include moving parts, joints,

connections and valves which will suffer over time if

they are not serviced regularly. We recommend that you

have your bathroom appliances checked annually by a

competent and certified plumber and that you consider

replacing flushing mechanisms as soon as there are

signs of poor function or water leakage.

Prices

The prices included within this brochure supersede all

previous publications with goods being invoiced at

prices ruling on date of dispatch. Prices shown are

exclusive of VAT and are subject to alteration without

notice.

Errors & Omissions

In the interest of continuing design and development

and product improvement, Lecico reserve the right to

change colour, designs & product specifications

without prior notice. All colours/finishes in this brochure

are as accurate as the printing process will allow.

Measurements

All dimensions are in millimetres and are nominal, they

are provided as guidance only.

Wastes

Wastes are not supplied with freestanding taps, wall

mounted taps, bath taps, bath fillers and bath shower

mixers.

Cleaning Instructions

Clean with a soft cloth and avoid surfactants and heavily

perfumed products. Do not use abrasive scrubbing

cleaners or equipment for cleaning. Further guidance is

available on request.
