As per EU Directives, professionals wishing to provide Investment Services and<br />
employed by Cypriot Investment Firms, Credit Institutions, Management Companies, and<br />
Investment Companies of Variable Capital, is compulsory to acquire a <strong>Professional</strong><br />
Competence Certificate that reflects the ability to carry out such activities. These<br />
certifications are offered by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC)<br />
and can be obtained through the exams: a) Basic Financial Services Legal Framework<br />
Examination and b) Advanced Financial Services Legal Framework Examination. This<br />
course is preparing participants to attend the Advanced Level CySEC exam. Aim of the<br />
exam is to ensure that candidates can apply an appropriate level of knowledge and<br />
understanding of the financial services regulatory framework that will assist them in the<br />
per<strong>for</strong>mance of their duties. Successful candidates will be certified and eligible to<br />

and Regulations. AML is considered as one of the most important topics and it is one<br />
of the riskiest areas in a Financial Institution. The aim of this seminar is to educate<br />

The future of corporate sustainability reporting is taking shape. At the end of November 2022, the<br />
European Union Council gave its final approval to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive<br />
(CSRD)1 and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group delivered the first set of draft European<br />
Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) to the European Commission. With these measures, the EU<br />
aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy. Under the new CSRD regulation,<br />
companies will soon be required to publish detailed in<strong>for</strong>mation on sustainability matters. This will<br />
increase a company’s accountability <strong>for</strong> its impacts on the environment and society, and provide<br />
financial institutions with comparable, verified in<strong>for</strong>mation on sustainability per<strong>for</strong>mance that should<br />
facilitate allocation of finance to sustainable activities. The measures should also equip companies<br />
<strong>for</strong> implementing their own sustainability agenda. They can only make progress if they know where<br />
they stand – relative to their ambitions as well as their peers – and where they can improve.<br />

Financial analysis plays a crucial role in the success of businesses by providing insights into a<br />
company's financial health. Financial statement analysis is a key component of financial analysis that<br />

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a new EU Directive developed with<br />
the purpose of making sustainability disclosures by European companies or <strong>for</strong>eign companies<br />
with significant operations in the EU, more comprehensive, comparable and aligned with the<br />
rigor and accountability of financial reporting. It is part of the European Union (EU) Action Plan<br />
on Financing Sustainable Growth (2018) and EU Green Deal (2019). Companies and businesses<br />
will have to apply the new rules <strong>for</strong> the first time in the 2024 financial year, with reports being<br />
published in 2025. The CSRD also mandates that some companies must have their sustainability<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mation audited and provides <strong>for</strong> the digitalization of this in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />
This session will provide <strong>you</strong> with a comprehensive guide to the CSRD ensure that <strong>you</strong> are aware<br />
of the latest requirements and its link with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate<br />

The dictionary definition of wellbeing is “The state of being com<strong>for</strong>table, healthy, or happy.”<br />
It’s understandable, then, that wellbeing is a term which is increasingly used these days -<br />
after all, we all want to be healthy and happy. When we talk about wellbeing, it can either<br />
be physical or mental. Both are equally important, yet mental health often gets overlooked.<br />
Perhaps this is because physical wellbeing is easier to gauge. It’s easy to tell if <strong>you</strong>r<br />
colleague is ill, whereas it’s less obvious if someone is struggling with mental health issues.<br />
Additionally, although things have improved considerably, there is still a stigma<br />

Ο έλεγχος (audit) συμμόρφωσης και η πιστοποίηση (certification) των οργανισμών, φορέων και<br />
επιχειρήσεων μετά τη θέση σε εφαρμογή του Γενικού Κανονισμού για την Προστασία Δεδομένων (ΓΚΠΔ)<br />
θεωρείται πλέον ως μία από τις σημαντικότερες απαιτήσεις στον τομέα της προστασίας των δεδομένων<br />
προσωπικού χαρακτήρα το προσεχές διάστημα, ιδιαίτερα μετά την ολοκλήρωση της αρχικής<br />
συμμόρφωσης από πλευράς των Υπευθύνων Επεξεργασίας (αλλά και των Εκτελούντων την<br />
Επεξεργασία). Το σεμινάριο θα δώσει τη δυνατότητα στους συμμετέχοντες να αναπτύξουν την<br />
απαιτούμενη τεχνογνωσία για τον έλεγχο-επιθεώρηση ενός οργανισμού, όσον αφορά στην εφαρμογή και<br />
στη διαχείριση των απαιτήσεων συμμόρφωσης βάσει του ΓΚΠΔ. Με τη μεθοδολογία, που θα παρουσιαστεί<br />
στο πλαίσιο του εκπαιδευτικού αυτού προγράμματος, θα εμπεδωθεί και θα καταστεί κατανοητός ο τρόπος<br />
προσδιορισμού των πεδίων του ελέγχου της συμμόρφωσης καθώς και ο τρόπος διεξαγωγής λεπτομερούς<br />
επιθεώρησης βάσει ενός συνόλου απαιτητικών κριτηρίων. Οι συμμετέχοντες θα αποκτήσουν τις<br />
απαραίτητες γνώσεις ώστε να μπορούν να σχεδιάσουν και να υλοποιήσουν επαρκώς εσωτερικούς και<br />

regulatory framework governing alternative investment funds in Cyprus and the major<br />

Cancellations<br />
Written notification of cancellation of the seminar booking within three<br />
business days (inclusive) of the course/workshop start date, or failure to<br />
attend the seminar/workshop without prior written notification, will be<br />
subject to a 100% cancellation charge. The full seminar/workshop fee must<br />
be paid immediately. If payment has already been made no refund of the fee<br />
is due.<br />
Payments<br />
Fees must be paid in full no later than five business days prior to the start<br />
date of the seminar/workshop or immediately <strong>for</strong> late bookings. Settlement<br />
of the invoice is only deemed to have happened when the full amount has<br />
been paid and cleared.<br />
Cancellation of seminar/workshop<br />
The School of <strong>Professional</strong> Studies reserves the right to amend<br />
seminar/workshop times or dates or to cancel any seminar/workshop due<br />
to low enrollment, or any other reason making it practically inadvisable to<br />
