who
we
are
We exist to proclaim the gospel
to the next generation till every
student has heard.
When Warren Willis founded the California
School Project in 2002, the mission was to
help every high school in California put on
one evangelistic event. And for those first
couple of years, we worked at a handful of
schools around the Los Angeles area.
Twenty years later, the national outreach of
Decision Point brings the message of Jesus
Christ through regular student-led outreach
in 17 states across our nation, as well as
communities around the world. Thank you
for joining us in proclaiming the timeless
truths of the gospel to the next generation.

A letter
from the
president
Dear friends,
God worked powerfully this school year. Christian
students stood up to lead for Christ across the
country. As the gospel went out, many students were
saved! We’re praising God for over 1,000 students
indicating decisions for Christ on campus this year
and thousands more online.
Students’ response for Christ was enthusiastic!
“We ran out of Bibles to give away!” students reported
after giving away 100 Bibles! Others told us, “We ran
out of food for our outreach, but our friends said, ‘We
don’t care. We’re not here for the food; we’re here for
the message.’”
The Lord continued moving the mission forward
across the country.
I am amazed at the students at the 100+ new schools
we got to equip this year. They have such a sense of
urgency for reaching their peers with the gospel. One
of these students is a young man named Daniel in New
York. Reflecting on leading his first outreach, Daniel
said, “My only regret is not doing this sooner!”
We also praise God for that He has now given us
personnel on the ground in 13 cities located in 9
states. This year the Lord brought us staff for three
1
new areas: Central California, Northeast Ohio,
and Colorado. Bob Willis brings decades of
international ministry experience to our team.
Luke Peters served as captain for the Wheaton
College basketball team and will be a dynamite
leader for the growing movement in Ohio.
Andi Custer, whom I’ve known since we were
missionary kids together overseas, will bring
a contagious love for the Lord and the lost
to students in Colorado - and I believe soon
throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
God has also grown the impact of our Online
Coaching Center. As our team had opportunities
to promote the mission on a broader stage at
camps, conferences, and on social media, we
were able to help more students around the
nation bring the gospel to their schools. Our
online coaching team equipped students for
campus outreach in 12 states where we do not
yet have personnel.
With the rest of the country before us, we continue
to pray earnestly to the Lord to provide laborers
for his harvest. Visit DecisionPoint.org/join to
see our staff openings. Pray with us, consider
joining our growing team, and please share
these opportunities with your friends.
Praise God for how He has led and guided us
since Warren founded this ministry 21 years
ago. On a personal note, this year I completed
my 20th year of service with Decision Point. It
has been a privilege to serve under Warren’s
godly leadership during these years. I was
humbled earlier this year when he called to
say that he would like to pass me the baton as
CEO. Warren has made a huge impact on my
life and the lives of so many around the world.
He has set an amazing example of faithfulness,
prayerful reliance on the Holy Spirit, and
unrelenting sacrificial service for the Lord.
I am grateful for his continued service with
Decision Point as Founder and a member
of the board.
As we look at everything going on in our
world today, I am reminded how lost this
generation is. That’s why we’re committed to
proclaiming the gospel to the next generation
till every student has heard. We want to see the
next generation say, “I have decided to follow
Jesus.” We are praying that God will save this
generation and ask that you join us in fervent
prayer toward that end as well.
As we help students lead for Jesus in an
increasingly hostile world, we are helping
them count the cost on the front lines and
be resolved to lead. God has called us to
strengthen a remnant of young leaders who
are ready to stand for Christ, live for Christ,
witness for Christ, and endure hardship for
His name because He is worth it.
And students are doing just that.
Students are standing for Christ, even when
it means standing alone. Eli is a young man in
the San Francisco area. Eli came to a Decision
Point event earlier this year where he decided to
recommit his life to Christ and reach his school
for Christ. He had to put up with students
tearing down his posters, a club advisor who
was unsupportive of his mission, and hostility
from other teachers. “One time,” Eli said, “we
were passing gospel booklets and a teacher
asked me what we were giving out. I gave her
a copy of the booklet and she started yelling
at me…I found out she even reported me to the
Vice Principal.” But Eli stood strong through it
all. The Lord rewarded his effort and he saw
170 students attend his outreach this May and
many of his peers decide to follow Jesus!
As students step out in faith on a big and
difficult mission, they are growing as leaders
who live all out for Christ. Ali is from Iran and
grew up in a Muslim family. Before we met him,
Ali came to faith through the Christian club at his
high school. “I thought it was my duty to spread
the gospel.” But Ali wanted more training to be
better equipped for his mission. After teaming
up with Decision Point, Ali said, “I am known for
my faith and boldness in school now... I no longer
have fear of what’s ahead because I know the
Lord is with me.”
Despite all the challenges they are up against,
students are learning to personally witness for
Christ. Ana is a young lady we trained this year in
Boston. One day, Ana was burdened for a group
of girls she saw smoking in the restroom. Ana
even texted one of our staff for advice, prayed
for courage, then went up to share the gospel
with them. Hearing about Jesus is probably the
last thing these girls expected when they lit up
a smoke that day in the bathroom, but thanks to
Ana’s boldness, that’s exactly what happened.
Ana was overjoyed to see one of these young
ladies pray to accept Christ right on the spot!
None of this is easy. But God is raising up a
generation of young leaders who are ready to
endure hardship for Christ knowing He is worth it.
Bayleigh was bullied for her faith last year by
teachers and students at her middle school
in Dallas-Fort Worth. One student told her she
would punch her in the face if Bayleigh tried to
talk with her again about Jesus! Bayleigh did not
let this experience keep her from jumping at the
chance to reach her high school this year. She
told our staff she would rather get punched in the
face than not share her faith.
Her mission this year was not easy, but Bayleigh
persevered saying, “This is worth it because I
KNOW people need to hear about the hope that I
have in Christ.” God used her faithfulness to save
two of her friends. They are now being discipled
as they join her family for church every week.
What a great reminder for us all. Jesus is
worth it! God blesses and uses the sacrificial
steps of faith we take to bring the gospel to
people through our prayer, giving, and personal
witnessing for Christ. When we see people
worshiping Jesus in Heaven forever and know
that our sacrifice and service helped get them
there, we will all say, “It was worth it!”
It is all worth it because Jesus is worth it all.
Thank you for your partnership in this mission!
“I have talked to my Muslim
friend about Jesus and I think
it opened up his perspective.
Another kid from the outreach
week recommitted his life to
Jesus and joined the Bible club.”
— Sonali
Tucson, AZ
“I think the Pray5 challenge was
something that was really hard
to get used to and get my head
around, but after talking about it
with my youth pastor we started
doing it, and I now pray for my
friends, family, community
members, and the people who
don’t like me and the people I
don’t always get along with. I liked
this challenge the most because
it opened so many doors to both
opportunities and in people’s
hearts for me.”
— Ali
“We had a Bible Club last year
and we reached so many people
I thought would never have been
interested in Jesus, we had Bible
study 2 to 3 times a week at
school, now it’s once a week, but
people came to church and got
baptized in the name of Jesus...
And I heard from other Christian
teachers that it made a way for
them to share the gospel to their
coworkers. We pray at the flag
pole in the morning and people let
me know it gives them courage
and faith. I also have carried
signs into school and painted my
instrument case — it says Jesus in
blue and silver.”
“I’ve seen existing Christians
(even teachers) that didn’t know
about the Christian club or
were scared to share their faith
encouraged by the outreach.”
— Mareya
South Orange County, CA
— Raymond
New York, NY
“I hope to have a bigger outreach
and see other club members try
on the leadership mantle and see
what they do with their creativity
and unique talents when they
take charge. I firmly believe they
can fly and do great things when
they try. I hope the club grows in
members and in heart to touch the
school body.”
“We didn’t think outreach was
possible, and it was. We didn’t
think that people wanted to hear
the gospel, they definitely did!
I didn’t believe that God was
going to use me because of the
situation I was in, but he still
continued to use me and show me
his gracious love.”
The
Decision
Point
Pledge
As a Decision Point Leader,
I pledge myself to the mission of
proclaiming the gospel to the next
generation till every student has
heard and will work to raise up
others for this mission.
By God’s grace…
I will stand for Christ as one
committed to the truth of God’s Word.
I will not be ashamed of His testimony or bow
down to the idols of today.
I will live for Christ focused on His
purposes, not my own.
I will be a leader who is daily fed by His
Word, fueled by prayer, and filled by His
Holy Spirit. I will live a life of faith, boldness,
and faithfulness with all the Lord has
entrusted to me.
I will witness for Christ.
Because the love of Christ compels me,
I will pray for the lost, give God’s Word to
those around me, and regularly share the
good news of Jesus who alone can save
and set them free.
I will endure hardship for Christ.
I will not quit or back down when things are
hard or painful, but will count it all joy when
I meet trials of various kinds. I will look to
Jesus for strength, knowing He endured the
cross and its shame, and will trust Him to use
all things for my good and His glory.
I pledge all of this for Christ
because He is worth it.
5 Gospel
Challenges
Through Decision Point’s 5 Gospel Challenges, we hope
to accomplish the mission to give every student the
opportunity to hear the gospel before they graduate.
Pray5
Pray faithfully for five unbelievers every day for five weeks! Pray specifically
that God would open their hearts to come to know Christ and surrender
their lives to Him. And pray for boldness, that when God opens a door for
a gospel conversation, you will courageously share the hope that you have.
Go Witness
Initiate conversations until you get to share the gospel with five people.
Be friendly, ask them their thoughts about God, be a good listener, ask if
you can share the gospel with them, and invite them to respond!
Teach God’s Word
Help teach evangelistic series that clearly share the gospel and call people
to respond.
Lead an Outreach Week
Lead five days of prayer, promo, gospel events, and follow-up on your
campus to give students a unique and dynamic way to hear the gospel.
Give God’s Word
Give a Bible, new testament, or one of the Gospels to as many students on
your campus as possible.
Campus Outreach
As a student previously coached by Decision Point,
I have experienced firsthand the transforming impact
of catching the vision and being equipped to reach
my school for Christ. I’m eager and passionate to
see every Christian student in America have that
same chance. It’s a joy to now serve on staff and
lead our campus ministry team nationwide.
We find that often students see their school as
mission impossible for the gospel. Until we show
them the legal rights, big vision, and simple strategy
to give their whole school the opportunity to hear
the gospel, have the opportunity to respond and
be plugged into a local church. Then it becomes a
mission possible. Student Leaders are unleashed to
reach this lost generation. It’s been thrilling this year
to see God’s power at work through young leaders
across our nation.
This year, we have teamed up with churches across
the nation and coached students at 287 schools
to reach their peers for Christ. We prayed at the
beginning of this year for it to be the most fruitful
year yet. God answered that prayer! More students
have indicated decisions for Christ than ever before
in the ministry’s history. More students have heard
the gospel in one single year, than ever before!
So much life change happened. God moved on
these school campuses across the country. Student
Leaders and Christians grew in their faith. The
gospel was shared personally and publicly. Lost
students got the chance to hear the gospel and
respond. Students found Jesus. Once sitting in
darkness, but now redeemed, forgiven and free in
Christ. Only God could do this!
What an incredible staff team the Lord has provided!
You’ll get to hear from some of them in the following
pages. As you read the stories, be encouraged in
the life change happening through the gospel being
proclaimed to the next generation.
To God be the glory!
Last summer we gathered nearly 100
bold students together at the Student
Leader Conference to get trained up
and prayed up for the mission ahead.
Students’ lives were transformed as they were
shoulder to shoulder with students just like them!
Parents even saw the impact when their kids got
home. Ann a parent from Illinois shared, “Our kids
learned so much and came back empowered to
share the Gospel… I highly encourage parents to
support your children and look at the greater picture.
Our teens are the next generation of Godly leaders.
This is a great opportunity to invest in their spiritual
growth and walk with Christ.” One week together
immersed in the Word, prayer, and deepening their
ownership in this mission greatly impacted students.
They left filled with more courage and emboldened
for their mission field ahead. This summer we
anticipate a great week to see God move once again
in Denver, Colorado!

“The harvest is plentiful…”
Matthew 9:37a
Over the span of my 10 years with Decision Point,
I’ve seen the most fall outreaches in a single fall
semester and also the most spring outreaches in a
single spring semester this year. There is nothing I
can say that has singularly attributed to this, except
the hand of God. In fact, God chopped our team
down from 6 full-time staff in the LA Area to only
4 full-time staff and from 5 part-time to 4 part-time
staff. And with less people, God has shown us how
He was able to do more! In fact, we went from just
under 40 schools last year to nearly 60 schools this
year (11 middle schools and 47 high schools) with
about 90 gospel outreaches.
Even with that, people still ask the practical
questions, “How do you go about getting started
at these schools? What does it take?” Answer: all it
takes is one Joshua or Caleb whose heart has been
touched by the living God.
That following summer, she met our Decision Point
team at Hume SoCal at a seminar we led. She heard
the vision of how she could be a missionary to her
school. She signed up to get ongoing coaching
from us for this whole school year. This past April,
we watched her lead three days of outreaches on
her public school campus at lunch. She was on the
mic warmly welcoming students she describes as
drowning under academic pressure and who are
anxious and depressed. But they heard the gospel
and students were saved! One of the students who
responded in faith was someone she didn’t expect
– a top academic student who was featured on the
school’s front web page.
That very same week, she also stood on stage at
our banquet and even challenged other Christian
students at other schools to step out in faith. If God
could use her, then He can use anyone. Just imagine
what God can do!
A Special Thanks
In fact, let me tell you of one student named Mareya
whose heart God touched as a freshman last year,
and who has stood strong and courageous for Christ
as a sophomore this year.
At the tail end of the last school year, the Christian
Club leaders at University High in Irvine probed the
interest of potential future club leaders. Crickets. Not
a single student responded – except for a freshman
named Mareya. As someone who struggles with selfdoubt
and discouragement about her own leadership
ability, she would not have expected herself to lead
a club. But she stepped up anyway. As she shared
with me, “When I heard they were going to shut down
the club if no student responded, I applied.” She then
became the Christian club president.
I want to personally thank and honor our Bay Area Director,
Barnaby Lee, for his faithful service for the past five years
as he transitions to pursuing full-time pastoral ministry later
this year. Barnaby’s conviction and commitment to raise
up the next generation of gospel ministers has led to many
students standing boldly and courageously for Christ, which
in turn has led to thousands of young souls hearing the
gospel and putting their faith in Jesus Christ. Please pray
with us for God to raise up more workers for the harvest to
minister specifically in the Bay Area. Thank you, Barnaby,
fellow co-worker in Christ, brother, and friend. [Rich Hung]
We are praising God for all the
ways He continues to strengthen,
unite, and mobilize the Church
here in Arizona!
We see His mighty hand at work as students are
being encouraged and equipped, youth pastors
are being supported, and community members are
rallying together to see that the gospel is proclaimed
on every school campus, till every student has heard.
By God’s grace and through the power of the Holy
Spirit, we saw 57 Student Leaders trained up to bring
the gospel to 24 schools across the state, where
over 2,835 students heard the good news at 41
outreach events. As a result, 51 students indicated a
first-time decision to follow Christ and 157 students
made re-commitments!
Ty, a senior from University High School in Tucson,
got connected with Decision Point as he wanted
to reach his peers and start a Christian Club on
campus. Like so many students, Ty felt alone in
this mission. So after a few coaching sessions, Ty
promoted See You At the Pole in September and
Sonali, a freshman, and 6 other students showed up
to pray. Right then and there, they united together
and formed a Christian Club. Their club took off as
nearly 10 students met regularly for weekly club
meetings. By spring, they hosted their first “I Have
Decided” Outreach Week where pastors from 4
surrounding churches came to help and 150-200
students showed up each day and heard the gospel.
The following week, a few new students showed up
to their club meeting and 1 gave his life to Christ!
What a beautiful picture of God strengthening,
uniting, and mobilizing the Church!
When students are on the front lines waging war
against the enemy on their campuses, we know that
this God-honoring pursuit tends to come with its set
of challenges. Natalie, a sophomore at Sky Islands
High School, not only faced rejection from some of
her peers who started a satanic club in retaliation
against the Christian club, but also faced rejection
from her school’s administration. As Natalie brought
a box of Bibles and gospel tracts to hand out at
school, the box was confiscated by administration
and thrown into the dumpster. Deterred but not
defeated, Natalie continued to find confidence and
strength in the Lord as she hosted the school’s first
outreach week to help bring the gospel to students
who so desperately needed it.
With a small but mighty team of 3 long-term and
1 short-term staff, we are praying for the Lord to
raise up more workers for the harvest by calling
more staff, students, youth pastors, churches, and
community members together to advance this
mission further for His glory!
This year, we’ve seen Christians
respond to the call to proclaim the
gospel to the next generation.
Christian students are responding to the call by
going into some of the darkest places in their
schools to shine the light of Christ to their peers.
We’ve seen numerous students decide to go
to public schools with the express purpose of
proclaiming the gospel. God is on the move and is
working to rescue this generation.
God has called 2 more full-time staff to join our team
this year which has enabled us to see more students
hear the gospel in the west and southwest suburbs
of Chicago. Our staff team has also been more
dedicated to personal proclamation of the gospel,
which has trickled down to our students as well.
One year ago, a student named Manny was at a
youth conference and had a burden for the students
at Elgin High School. When we first met him he was
looking for direction, and so we started coaching
him and encouraging him to lead the Christian Club
and proclaim the gospel.
wanted to receive prayer and a student raised his
hand. Manny prayed over him and shared God’s love
for him. That student told him afterwards, “I’ve been
struggling with depression and anxiety and was
planning on going home to end my life in two hours.
Now that I know God loves me, I’m not going to do
that.” Suffice to say, Manny decided to continue
leading and has persevered and been faithful with
what he has been entrusted to do.
In the spring, Manny grew in boldness and believed
in faith that God could do the impossible. On the
day of their outreach event, he was able to pass out
hundreds of flyers and even got up in front of all the
students in the lunchroom multiple times to invite
them to the event. While promoting, he was cursed
at multiple times, but he still boldly proclaimed the
gospel. At their event, God brought 300 students
despite multiple obstacles, and dozens of students
put their faith in Christ for the first time.
This year, Manny grew in boldness, faith, walking by
the Spirit, and perseverance. By God’s grace, we’ve
been able to help over 150 students do this across
Chicago and even beyond.
In December, he experienced some challenges and
began questioning if he should continue leading. He
prayed and asked God to confirm if he should keep
leading. At a club meeting, Manny asked if anyone
IOWA
God has opened the door in Iowa this year. A student leader
named Trent wanted to stand for Christ, and when he heard about
Decision Point he started getting coaching right away. With only a
few months before graduation, Trent launched a club and hosted
an outreach event where over 200 students came and 7 students
indicated first-time decisions to follow Christ. Our goal is to see
over 10 schools coached this next year, and for the Lord to appoint
a full-time staff candidate. By the grace of God, we have our first
Iowa-based intern starting this fall for a gap year with us.
OHIO
Our team has been working in Ohio for the last three
years and as of March this year, Luke Peters joined
our team full time. He was an answer to prayer as
we know the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are
few! Luke helped a student named Kenzie lead an
outreach at Wadsworth High School and she said that
it was the biggest event they’ve ever had with over 75
students in one day!
INDIANA
A former Student Leader from Wheaton North High
School named Alli Beck has been working part time
with Decision Point in Indiana, breaking ground in that
state. She was able to coach two schools near Taylor
University and equip students to share the gospel.
This year one youth group went out with Alli to the
local mall to share Christ and many of them said that
it was one of the most incredible experiences of their
faith journey!
MINNESOTA
As we’ve been exploring opportunities in Minnesota,
our team was able to equip several dozen youth
pastors with tools to reach their schools. This all
culminated in speaking at Districts Blitz, a youth
conference where 2,800 students gathered in Duluth,
MN. There we ran a workshop with nearly 200 students
in attendance and one youth pastor told us “I’ve been
looking for a way to reach the schools in Duluth for
years… this is an answer to prayer!”
The 2022-2023 school year has been a sweet time of
seeing God’s faithfulness in DFW. It has been a year
full of expansion and growth—from Student Leaders,
to outreaches, and events. We were able to host
DFW’s first ever Ignite event where 200 students
and youth pastors from all over the metroplex
gathered together to pray for their generation and be
challenged to reach their communities and schools
with the gospel.
This year, we have seen the number
of schools being coached and
leading outreach double.
One of our Student Leaders recruited 4 of these
schools on her own! DFW also had the privilege of
leading the first Decision Point mission trip since
the pandemic. Decision Point staff from 5 different
cities came to help all of the DFW schools lead
outreaches in the same week! Over four days, there
were 24 gospel events, 2,000 students who heard a
clear gospel message, with 127 accepting Jesus for
the first time!
We have seen such incredible growth and leadership
skills in our students this year. One of these
incredible students is Bayleigh—a freshman who had
been bullied for her faith by teachers and students
at her old school in previous years. When she heard
that she had the opportunity to share her faith in
her school from another Decision Point leader, she
immediately decided that she wanted to stand up
boldly to proclaim Christ. Even after the bullying and
mockery she had experienced, she knew her school
needed the gospel. Bayleigh said at the beginning
of her school year that she was done hiding, and
she would rather get punched in the face than not
share her faith and the hope of Jesus. Bayleigh
was faithful with leading her club all year, sharing
her faith in and out of club meetings, and was able
to host her FIRST outreach week in April during the
mission trip week! Even through incredible obstacles
and challenges that week, including coming close
to not even being able to host her outreach, she
persevered and said “this is worth it because I
KNOW people need to hear about the hope that I
have in Christ.” Because of her faithfulness and
allowing God to use her, two friends came with her
to church that week and accepted Christ as their
Savior for the first time! Now those friends are
carpooling with Bayleigh and her family every week
to get discipled in a local church.
God has been so faithful, and we are so incredibly
blessed to work with students just like Bayleigh who
have counted the cost and said, “it’s worth it.”
Youth pastor Tim Balagat from Rocky Mountain
Calvary Church in Colorado Springs brought 18
of his students to last summer’s Student Leader
Conference and the momentum has kept going
since then. The fired up youth pastor and students
came back from the conference and started up
clubs at 3 schools, and all 3 schools ran an outreach
for three days. Each day of the outreach, students
were so encouraged to see more of their classmates
coming out, and we are seeing an increased spiritual
hunger from students on campus.
These Colorado Springs Student Leaders are
growing in faith and leadership skills, and new
students from those schools are now attending
Rocky Mountain Calvary Church at the youth group
each week. We are excited to have Andi Custer
joining as full-time staff in Colorado Springs to
continue this momentum and follow up on new
opportunities with churches and ministry partners.
Oklahoma
We are in our second year of having part-time staff Barry Williams make headway
in Oklahoma. Barry has been able to coach 5 youth pastors to utilize our outreach
strategies. These youth pastors are coaching students to reach their school at 12
schools and 3 of the schools held outreach this year. Barry’s home church will be
bringing a large group of students to our Student Leader Conference this summer.
We are excited for the momentum this will create going into the school year.
Boston
As we continue efforts in the Boston area, a special relationship has continued
between a student Ana and our staff Kathy Craig. Ana has a burden for her school
and continues to text with Kathy to learn more about how to share the gospel and
what she can do to reach her school. Through a text conversation in real time, Ana
sought advice on how to share the gospel with a group of girls in the bathroom and
she texted later to say that one girl stayed behind and accepted Christ with Ana
right there in the public school bathroom. Ana has continued to follow up with her
new friend and invite her to church.
Online Coaching
We’ve seen some milestones this
last year as we’ve coached students
around the country.
Students who caught the vision to reach their school
with the gospel have had a higher chance to get
the help they need! Whether they were inspired at
summer camp or saw an Instagram ad, we’ve been
excited about utilizing technology to call and equip
so many students toward the mission.
Daniel Lee, a senior in New Jersey, heard about
the opportunity to reach his school at a camp
in Philadelphia last summer. He signed up for
coaching, and it took him months to be able to start
a club. Finally in January, after dozens of emails
back and forth, his club was approved! However,
his requests to host an event kept getting ignored.
Incredibly discouraged, Daniel finally decided to host
a small outreach in the classroom his club would
meet in. This May, Daniel put posters for his event
up on his teacher’s door, she mentioned it to her
classes that day, and he passed out flyers with some
friends. His club that typically had an attendance of
3 students had a turnout of 20 that day, and Daniel
had the chance to share his testimony with those
students, and several students wanted a Bible!
Daniel said about one friend who came, “I was so
amazed my friend came. I never would have thought
he would come to something like this, let alone
grab a Bible.” As we were debriefing the event on
the phone that day, he kept thanking us so much.
He said, “Without you texting and calling to check
in with me so much, I know I would have given up a
long time ago. My only regret is that I didn’t do this
sooner.”
Another student named Kim from Vernon, FL, came
across an Instagram ad. She was feeling like there
must be more she can do as a club leader before
graduating. Kim said during our first phone call, “I
knew that the ad was from God, because I’ve been
praying to do something like this at my school!” Kim
quickly utilized our training to plan an event in the
gym where she got to share her testimony during
her last month of school as a senior. 70 students
showed up to her event at this small school of 400,
and 20 people gave their lives to Christ!
God is stirring up the hearts of students across the
country in a powerful way. So many young Christians
are eager to share Christ with their peers without a
game plan, and we have the training and resources
to help them get there. We’re hopeful for the years
ahead with this program as we continue to find ways
to equip more and more students to reach their
campus with the gospel.
Church
& Ministry
Partnerships
Decision Point continues to grow in
our church partnership strategy in
each of our areas.
Since last year, we have nearly doubled the number
of churches that partner with us to mobilize their
students to share the gospel and reach their area
schools. These partnerships are bringing growth
as youth pastors are catching the vision to equip
their whole youth group to share the gospel. Youth
pastors are challenging their students to step up and
reach their school with the gospel. Youth pastors are
getting equipped to coach their students for school
outreach by meeting with our staff and using our
resources. Churches also continue to invite our staff
to equip their students for gospel outreach during
their youth group nights or at retreats and many now
financially support the mission as well.
As we partner with like-minded ministries like Dare
2 Share, Ignite Youth Leadership Conference, Hume
Lake, and Momentum Conference, we are able to
do more together to reach the next generation with
the gospel. This past year, Decision Point traveled
to 9 different states to attend 29 conferences and
camps and were on stage in front of 49 different
audiences to tell 18,238 students about Decision
Point and challenge them to be gospel leaders. We
trained 3,318 students in our workshops and over
1,500 students turned in response cards to interact
with us. While out on the road, we got to meet two of
our new full-time staff that are opening up new areas
for us.
Online Outreach
“Every day students are using search
engines like Google and typing in
phrases like: how can i talk to God,
how to pray, is Jesus real, science
and the bible, and so much more.”
Students are consuming more online content than
they ever have before with Barna reporting that the
typical young person spends 2,767 hours a year
using screen media. 1
Life-changing decisions are being made for the
gospel online, right from peoples’ Internet browsers,
and Decision Point is excited to be a part of that.
While we get many stories of students coming to
know Jesus, one woman’s story of how much the
gospel impacted her transformation truly stuck
out this year as an example of the Lord working
through online outreach. This past year, this young
woman called us from Mexico telling us that she had
watched one of our gospel videos. She shared with
us that she had gotten involved in tarot reading and
had been cheating on her husband with other men,
but upon hearing that she could never be “too far
gone from God’s love,” she decided to change her
life around. She broke off her relationship with the
other men, confessed to her husband, and together
with him, began seeking a church to attend to grow
in their faith and work on their marriage. Praise the
Lord for using digital media to send His word forth
and pierce the hearts of people, no matter where
they are.
By carefully writing articles and blog posts oriented
towards answering students’ questions and by
targeting students on social media with gospel
ads, we’ve seen thousands of students come to our
evangelistic website where they’ve been presented
with the gospel message. Whether through our 24/7
online chat or through full-length testimonies from
influential Christian figures, students are repeatedly
given opportunities to engage with and accept the
gospel message. And praise God that many of
them have!
Our team had a chance to personally meet with
were then able to launch this new set of social
Advancement
& Mobilization
God was faithful throughout the Meant for More
Campaign, which concluded on May 31, 2023. He
opened doors we did not even see at the outset of
the campaign. Our online outreach efforts are one
example of God turning the pandemic to good for
our ministry and His Kingdom. The Lord has blessed
us with new staff members who are committed to
our mission of proclaiming the gospel to the next
generation. It is a privilege to watch bold students
across the country sharing their faith with their
peers, at school and beyond! Their courage is an
inspiration.
Praise the Lord for His provision during the Meant
for More Campaign. We prayed and asked the Lord
to provide $8.4 million during the campaign and to
give 1 million students the opportunity to hear the
gospel. By His grace, $8,412,000 was raised during
the campaign and over 1.5 million students had the
opportunity to hear the gospel. We saw God move in
amazing ways throughout the campaign and all glory
goes to Him!
I often say our ministry does not exist without our
financial supporters, and it is so true. Words cannot
express my gratitude, and that of our staff, to all who
support our mission. Your support and prayers are
uplifting. Your generosity is an inspiration.
Your faithfulness is encouraging.
Thank you to all who support our ministry on a
monthly basis. Your consistent support provides
us with funding that allows us to better plan our
ministry and be good stewards of the resources to
which we are entrusted.
We are praying and excited to see what the Lord will
do through Decision Point during this next phase
of our ministry. Students across the country are
deciding to stand for Christ and witness to their
fellow students. And, with all glory to God, students
are hearing the gospel and are deciding to follow
Jesus, no matter the cost. As Christians, I pray we all
decide to support and pray for these students as we
continue the mission of proclaiming the gospel to
the next generation – till every student has heard!
Letter from
Warren & Board
“I know who you are. You’re the Jesus Man!”
I’ll never forget the day a young girl in Mongolia
greeted me with this exclamation. To be known as
the “Jesus Man” is the greatest compliment I have
ever received.
I have made it my life’s purpose to introduce people
to Jesus. And, after years of hearing people say,
“You ought to write a book,” it has finally happened
thanks to co-author and friend Mary Ann Richardson.
Through Mary Ann’s talented pen, I share stories of
the Living God of the Bible at work during my time
at UC Berkeley, in Canada, the Amazon Jungle, the
Philippines, Outer Mongolia, and beyond.
The book, entitled “The Jesus Man,” is scheduled
to be published this September. If you would like
to receive a copy, please contact our office and
we would be happy to send you one. I turned 85
this year and completed my 60th year of full-time
Christian ministry. But telling people about Jesus
never gets old.
It has been very exhilarating for me to see how the
Lord has blessed our ministry under Mark Hopson’s
leadership as president these last seven years.
Now, I have felt it was time to make an additional
change. In this light, I wrote to our Board of Directors
earlier this year sharing my belief that it was time
to transfer my responsibilities as Chief Executive
Officer of Decision Point to Mark also. Our Board
unanimously approved this decision and we
appointed Mark to be CEO effective March 1, 2023.
It has been great to see how the Lord has taken this
ministry further than I ever envisioned under Mark’s
leadership. I am excited to see how the Lord will
continue to bless and expand the ministry under
Mark’s guidance.
I will continue serving as Founder, promoting our
mission to everyone I meet, and serving on the
Board. I will remain engaged with Mark, advising
where helpful, making strategic connections, and
raising funds for our mission.
On another note, earlier this year I provided a
scholarship for my son Bob and his two high school
age boys to attend our Student Leader Conference
in Denver. I had no idea that God would use this
time to call Bob to join our staff. After going through
the full application process, it was thrilling to see
our leaders invite Bob to join our staff. Bob is now
serving full-time with Decision Point in Central
California and is excited to help with our national
expansion efforts in the days ahead.
I remain as passionate about Decision Point’s
mission as ever. Jesus loves young people and
wants them to know Him. It is terrible what students
are being subjected to these days and we believe
that Christ is the solution. Earlier this year here in
a Fort Worth school on the third day of five gospel
rallies sponsored by the Christian Club, 300 students
appeared in the cafeteria to hear the message and
30 indicated first time decisions to follow Christ. All
led by students and all perfectly legal!
Let’s keep doing all we can to win, build and send the
next generation while we still can.
Sincerely,
Warren Willis – Founder, Decision Point
