Lee Ka-sing OPUS Archive
fly-in-love 飛 天 情 書 is a visual poem by Lee Ka-sing, composed
using 193 photographs, and presented in book format as a unique
piece of original artwork.
This creation coincides with the “Desire to Fly” ( 想 飛 ) exhibition
at GATE 33 GALLERY, AIRSIDE, Hong Kong, taking place from
September 28 to November 12, 2023.

Lee Ka-sing

fly-in-love 飛 天 情 書 is a variation (2023), based on a fictional
photograph Lee Ka-sing created in 2010.
This variation is constructed using 193 photographs in sequential
order, also, embodying a previous work titled “Holly descending a
staircase from the third floor to the gallery, about to go out to make
a photograph at Trinity Bellwoods Park”— a love poem in thirty
frames that Ka-sing wrote to Holly in 2012.
fly-in-love 飛 天 情 書 is in format of 8x10 inches, soft cover, with
428 pages. ISBN 978-1-989845-71-4. Published by OCEAN
POUNDS and distributed as a book-on-demand. The total print
run for the Exhibition Edition is limited to no more than fifty
copies.
