International Trade Fair
... everything for Bakers and Confectioners
"We are delighted
with the unexpectedly high
number of direct sales concluded
with small trade businesses and
our acquisition of new international
projects. The positive result has
exceeded our expectations."
Marco Hallemann, Marketing –
IsernHäger GmbH & Co. KG,
Germany
"The international
nature of iba is especially
important for us. As we are very
strongly export orientated, this platform
is vital to us. We use this three-yearly event to
present ourselves to customers from around the
world. In comparison to iba, other trade fairs are
more locally orientated. iba also offers us the
opportunity to demonstrate our complex
technologies to customers. This is the only
way to do this effectively. In our opinion,
online presentations and demonstrations
in the B-to-B sector are unfeasible."
Jürgen Horstmann, Owner and Managing
Director – WP BAKERYGROUP,
"iba has been my
first European show. I have
done a lot of shows in the U.S.
In this show you have people from
every different country from all over
the world. It is important for us to make
contacts and not only European contacts
but from all over the world. From Asia, South
America and even the United States as well."
Tradition, high technology and lifestyle
Munich is one of the most famous cities in the world and attracts
a large number of visitors. As the number one centre for high
technology and the venue for many important trade fairs, the city
is regularly the focus for international expert events. However,
"the cosmopolitan city with a heart" is not only known for its
economic success and purchasing power. The city's surrounding
mountains, legendary castles and delightful beer gardens
make a visit to Munich a real pleasure. One of the most diverse cities
in the world, Munich combines art, culture, tradition, lifestyle
and business.
Home to the second largest airport in Germany with many
direct internal and international connections, Munich can
be reached quickly, easily and conveniently at any time.
During Oktoberfest , which starts on the Saturday directly after iba,
the atmosphere in Munich is particularly special. At the leading international
trade fair, you and your guests can also enjoy a taste of
life in Bavaria at the trade fair venue's very own iba Oktoberfest
tent. You can also hire out the tent exclusively for you and your
customers.
"New confirmed
orders and lots of interest in our
customised offers: iba 2009 was a real
success for us. Once again,
it proved itself to be one of our most
important trade fairs. It is the trendsetter
for the industry. Every three years,
we come here to find out what the hot
industry topics are."
