All University of Applied Sciences Burgenland students enjoy the same level of academic assistance, regardless

of whether they opt to study full or part-time .

The modern and service-oriented infrastructure of both study centres in Eisenstadt and Pinkafeld

is used by full-time students from Monday to Friday. Students who work during the week

study by means of blended learning - a mixture of face-to-face classes at the weekend and

additional courses via internet-based platforms.

Entry requirements Completion of a postsecondary level programme of at least three years at

a recognised domestic or foreign education institute. This may include a recognised

degree from a postsecundary institution as are a bachelor’s degree,

a master’s degree or a doctoral degree from a university or a university of

applied sciences.

Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes

The aim of the European academic structure is to improve comparability and recognition of degrees within

Europe. After completing an ‘A’ level equivalent, passing the university entrance examination or vocational

matriculation examination, the three-year bachelor’s programme ends with a fi rst academic degree. The

two-year master’s programme builds on the foundation of the fi rst academic degree and deepens the

practical professional training at university level. Graduates who have successfully completed a master’s

programme are entitled to participate in university doctoral programmes.
