Welcome!
Welcome to KTP2023! We are so excited to be back LIVE with
our annual fundraising gala, and we are thrilled to have you
join us.
When Family Promise Metrowest first welcomed families in
2008, the goal was to provide safe shelter and support to
families experiencing homelessness. Our vision was also to
build an interfaith community of congregations committed to
addressing the issue of family homelessness, knowing we all
had to assume responsibility in order to create real change.
Over the years, as our organization has grown, we've added
additional programs to meet our families’ needs, developing
a true continuum of services to ensure their stability into the
future.
Over the past few years, we have learned that homelessness
prevention is far more cost-effective than allowing
homelessness to happen. Our LIFE program supports
families on the brink of housing loss, helping them remain
housed or get into more affordable housing quickly. This
program also minimizes the stress and trauma that families
and children endure when experiencing homelessness
and enables them to regain a sense of control and
empowerment. In 2022, we saw a 22% increase in LIFE
families and are on track for even greater growth in 2023 and
beyond.

the cindy lombardo volunteer award
Cindy Lombardo was a tireless and dedicated FPM volunteer,
cherished for her ability to create an “extravagant welcome” for
our FPM families every time Temple Shir Tikva hosted our families.
The Cindy Lombardo Volunteer Award is given to an FPM
volunteer, nominated by our past and current families, who fulfills
and honors Cindy’s incredible model of warmth, compassion, and
devotion. The 2023 Cindy Lombardo Volunteer Award is being
given to longtime dedicated Family Promise Metrowest volunteer
Diana Carroll.

The Family Promise Metrowest Legacy Award honors an
extraordinary, long-standing supporter whose generosity and
dedication to our mission will have a lasting impact on our
families for years to come. The 2023 Legacy Award is being
given to former Family Promise Metrowest Executive Director
Sue Crossley.

CAROLE BRODRICK CORPORATE
PARTNER OF THE YEAR 2023
The Inaugural 2023 Carole Brodrick Corporate Partner of
the Year Award: awarded to a corporate partner who has
demonstrated excellence in working together to build a
cohesive community that serves as a model of collaboration
for the greater good, and is named after Carole Brodrick, who
served as Family Promise Metrowest Development Director
for over a decade. The Inaugural 2023 Carole Brodrick
Corporate Partner of the Year Award is being given to the
TJX Companies.
2023 COMMUNITY PARTNER
OF THE YEAR
The Inaugural 2023 Community Partner of the Year
Award is presented to a community partner to honor and
recognize their commitment and vital role in successfully
collaborating to bring awareness, resources, and support to
the issue of homelessness. The Inaugural 2023 Community
Partner of the Year Award is being given to the City of
Framingham, Community Development Department.

About FPM
Family Promise Metrowest offers a community response to
families that are facing homelessness. Our approach to
addressing family homelessness and housing instability is
simple: We believe motivated families can move themselves
out of poverty and establish stable, sustainable homes if
given resources, guidance, and the encouragement to set and
work toward goals.
Our four programs provide a continuum of support to
families in varying stages of housing instability: Our Shelter
program offers temporary housing to families with children
that have lost their home, along with supportive coaching to
help them set and work toward goals. Our SAIL program
supports our shelter graduates an additional year by
providing housing subsidies and ongoing coaching to ensure
their successful transition back into community housing. Our
LIFE program helps families facing eviction or shelter entry
remain in safe housing by providing subsidies for rent in
arrears or security deposits, along with family coaching to
build long-term sustainability. Lastly, the Steps to Success
program offers educational and career-building support and
subsidies to adults and teens in our housing programs.

family has a stable home, a sustainable income, and the
chance to build a better future.
