PINKY
Car owner: Rhonda Rumsower
Truck: 1967 International Harvester 1100D
Rhonda Rumsower is the proud owner of this beautiful 1967 1/2 ton International
Harvester Pickup. We shot this awesome truck in the Crossroads District of Kansas City.
MO by Grinder’s Pizza outdoor Amphitheater.
Rhonda bought Pinky from her brother in 2012. She had just been painted. This truck has a
303 V-8 engine, dual exhausts, euro style tail lights, towing mirrors, dual search lights, vintage
style racing rims, 15” Cooper Cobra tires and beautiful breast cancer awareness hood
ornament that was custom made by Rhonda’s son Michael Rumsower. Pinky originally had a
4-speed International Harvester manual transmission. In fact the cab configuration still has
a floor shifter that may look like a manual, but has been converted to an automatic transmission.
Rhonda gets a great many compliments about Pinky. She commented; “if I had a
dollar for every compliment I got at cars shows, I would have a lot of money by now. People
really like it. Especially with the breast cancer ribbon on it.” Rhonda says that she got into
attending car shows with her brother and friends who participated in them showing their
vintage vehicles. Rhonda the she always wanted to participate in car shows but waited until
she and her husband Steve retired so they could go to many more of them. Now they attend
about 25 shows per year including shows like Ottawa, KS, Pattonsburg , MO, Orrick, MO ,
Springfield, MO as well as several local shows and cruise nights.
She recalls a time when her sister was looking at her facebook page and there was a guy
that posted a picture of Pinky with the caption, “My future truck!” Little did he know that
Rhonda was the owner of the truck. So her sister replied back and said, “that’s my sister’s
truck!” (Awkward!)
Rhonda says that she plans to do more updates to Pinky in the future. Things like
refinishing the interior, installing a new chrome and oak wood truck bed in the back. Her
husband Steve has a show car as well. A 1968 Plymouth Fury 3 convertible. The couple also
has a burgundy colored 1953 Chevy. Rhonda said if money was no object she would get a
1960 Chevy all red.
One thing is for certain. With the two tone pink and white paint, stylish rims and
accents, as well a the beautiful breast cancer hood ornament, “Pinky” is a true one of a kind
instant classic!
chiefs truck
Car owner: Tim Dellinger
Truck: 2020 Ford F-150
We shot Tim Dellinger’s Iconic F-150 “Chiefs Truck” on the south end of Tom’s Town Distilling
Co, on a beautiful Sunday morning in front of a huge mural of some of the stars both past and
present of Tim’s favorite NFL football team the Kansas City Chiefs!
This beauty features a 5.0 V-8 engine with a 2” lift an leveling kit, 20” alloy wheels and Yoko
of road tires. Tim said “the decals and graphics were designed to show the love of my favorite
football team and for people to enjoy” Custom graphics on the truck include; Chiefs logo on the
front tag plate, “kingdom” lettering on the hood, custom floor mats, custom leather seats with the
Chiefs logo on them, Black with yellow trim rally striping along the sides, “Chiefs” lettering on rear
quarter panels, a mural of Arrowhead Stadium in the rear window and “15” in yellow as part of the
F-150 model name on the rear tailgate in honor of Chiefs quarterback Partrick Mahomes! As an
added bonus, Tim has a full length football field rug that the truck is placed on during shows and
“Skeletons” adorned in their finest Chiefs regalia! Well, it was a long 50 year wait between the 1st
and 2nd Superbowl Wins!
Back in 2019 Tim went to Olathe Ford in search of a Chiefs Red Truck. It took almost 3
months but they finally found the truck that Tim wanted. In addition to the graphics and decal
mods, Tim also added custom made running boards with custom plating, painted the calipers on
the disc brakes yellow and installed a multi color lighting kit underneath the truck. He says he
is not done making improvements to the truck. Tim wants to add tail lights with arrowheads in
them.
Tim says that he attends from 35 to 50 car shows per year. He makes it a point to attend the
“Cars in the Park” show which is a fund raiser for the Special Olympics! He also makes it a point
to attend shows that support the Police and the Military. Tim got into doing car shows because of
the love that people to enjoy have for his truck. Tim says that his wife Robin is to thank for pushing
this endeavor forward. “I don’t know where I would be. She has been supportive of this whole
Project.”
It seems like all of that hard work is paying off ! Some of the highlights of Tim’s life has been
meeting Chiefs players and ambassadors. Legends like Neil Smith at the Birthplace of the Route
66 Festival in Springfield, MO. Tyreek Hill at a meet and greet at Halvorson Ford in Buckner, MO.
He met C.E.H. (Cyde Edwards Helaire) at World of Wheels KC. He also met Henry Winkler
“The Fonz” at World of Wheels KC in March 2023. He has also met Danan Hughes and KC Wolf !
Tim says his ultimate goal is to get Patrick Mahomes to sign his truck and get a photo of his truck
with Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
Tim has another car he is working on. A 2023 BMW. He says it will have a graveyard/cemetery/zombie
theme to it. He says if money was no object, he would like to have a Lamborghini.
SINNER
Car owner: Shannon Juricek
Model: Gabriella Boone
Car: 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T “Sinner”
We shot Shannon Juricek’s awesome 2009 Challenger R/T “Sinner” in front of the Hellboy
mural in the Crossroads District in Kansas City, MO.
Shannon bought the challenger in February of 2019 from the previous owner that she found
on the Facebook Marketplace. It turned out that the owner was not very far from where Shannon
and her husband Martin live. The color is called Hemi orange pearl. Sinner has a 5.7 liter Hemi
V-8 engine with 372 hp @ 5,200 rpm. 401 lb-ft @ 4,400 rpm. 0-60 in 5.5 seconds with a top speed
of 172 mph. Sinner has 20” Marquee brand rims with staggered low-profile tires.
This one of a kind car has had extensive modifications. It has an air-ride performance lift system
with remote. Straight pipe long tube headers, radiator , catch can and throttle body upgrades.
A Killer brand glass coolant (see through) hose pipe with LED’s inside that make the orange coolant
look like lava. Chromed engine bay pieces, beefed up rear end springs and a four nozzle CO2
purge kit with remote. It has cats-eye style headlight covers and leather seats with 4 way harnesses
that light up with LED’s. Sinner has 4 batteries. One for the car’s engine and three for the LEDs.
There are 4 LED Controllers. operated by three apps. They control LED banks in the trunk, sides,
wheels, door trim, after burner lights , front emblem lights and engine bay. Last but not least Sinner
has a Kill switch. Mike Crabaugh (see challenger on cover of EPMSC issue 1) does the car mods.
Most of the mods so far have taken about 3 years to complete. Shannon is not done improving her
car. She wants to get a new paint job and get lights for the front and rear bumper as well as side
skirts. And of course, there is a “demon” in the trunk!
Shannon says that many people think that the car is a Dodge Demon even though it is not
because of the custom emblem that is on front quarter panel of the car. Sinner has been in 3 J. Milli
rap videos. When J. saw the car. he fell in love with it to the point that he just had to have the car
in his rap videos. Sinner has in a also been calendar shoot for “Heels and Wheels” Sinner has been
ticketed a few times and received warnings from law enforcement because of the lights.
Shannon and Martin do about 10 shows per year. The annual event they attend is Mopar
Mania in Arkansas. It was the encouragement Shannon received from Gill Carter and Mike Craybaugh
that inspired her to participate in car shows. She went to her first show and got 2nd place.
She has been doing shows ever since.
She really enjoys showing the car. It makes her feel good when people say how much they
love the car. Shannon would like to give a big shout out to “Mike Crabaugh” for all of the hard work
he has put into Sinner.
ECTO SQUAD
Car owner: Jason Stiles
Car: 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor “Ecto Squad”
I ain’t afraid of no ghost! That is unless you follow owner Jason Stiles for a photo shoot as he
cruises his Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor named “Ecto Squad” to patrol around creepy buildings
in the historic Kansas City West Bottoms.
Jason purchased the car from it’s former owner in Oak Grove, MO. It spent it’s initial service
as a State Trooper car patrolling the Kansas Turnpike. Then it spent some time in Andover, KS before
it went to auction. The car has a 4.6 liter V-8 engine that generates 239 hp @ 4,750 rpm. It has
a 4-speed automatic transmission with 16 valves, a single overhead cam and a top speed of around
130 mph.
Having a decommissioned police car can be interesting. Before Jason put the Ghost Busters
decals on the car he said that a lady came up to him at a convenience store and told him that he
was not going to take her to jail!. Another lady saw him getting gas one day wearing a t-shirt, shorts
and flip flops. She peeked around the gas pump and ask him if he was “under cover?”
The look of this car with the Ghost Buster decals gives it an iconic look and is turning heads
all around the metropolitan area. Jason says that since he put the decals on, people that see it as
they drive by point and shout out “Ghost Busters” to him. He commented “ I get police officers
giving me a thumbs up.” “I went to Quik Trip after I stated putting some of the Ghost Busters stuff
on the car.” “ I pull in the parking lot next to a white SUV.” “Before I could get out of the car there
was a kid maybe 10 or 11 years old that was literally jumping up and down waiving at me and asked
me if he could get a picture with my car? He was beside himself with excitement!” “So his mom
took pictures of him with my car.” “I like showing the car because it make people happy.” Once
Jason got the car ready, he then worked on getting into character by getting a proton pack, a ghost
trap, a P.K.E. meter and a Ghost Busters jump suit to look the part.
Jason got into car shows and cruises starting in 2020 during COVID doing neighborhood
cruises, then later did car meets. Currently he attends around 5 car shows per season. Shows like
Streetcar Takeover, Good Guys Show in Iowa, Ford Fest, and a few other local shows. Jason just
won “Best in Show” at the Ford Fest Show this past September.
He has a few hobbies other than cars, like target shooting at shooting ranges and model
railroading. If money was no object Jason would buy a 1977 Pontiac Trans AM. He says that the
movie “Smokey and the Bandit” was what began his love for cars. If anyone is interested in model
railroading please check out Jason’s youtube page “Jason Stiles.”
The look of this Ghost Busters Crown Victoria Interceptor is a popular theme that brings
smiles to most people who see it. The next time you see Jason in “Ecto Squad” feel free to show
him some love and give him a thumbs up or yell “Ghost” Busters at him.
BOXSTER S
Car owner: Bruce Hogle
Car: 2006 Porsche Boxster S convertible
The photos in this article were taken at Charles Garney Park at Briarcliff in Kansas City, MO.
Bruce Hogle is the owner of this iconic 2006 Porsche Boxster S. Bruce purchased the car from
Aristocrat Motors located in Merriam, KS in 2009 to commemorate his retirement. The Boxster
had 9444 miles on it at the time of it’s purchase. He as owned 3 Porsche’s throughout his car
journey. A 1968 Porsche 911 E, a 1978 Porsche 924 model and now the 2006 Boxster S. Bruce
picked this model because he likes the way this car handles, excellerates and that sense of freedom
he gets while cruising on the open road in a quick and nimble convertible.
In 2005, Porsche debuted the second generation of the Boxster, the type (987v1) with a
more powerful engine and styling inspired by the Carrera GT. Engine output increased in 2007,
when the Boxster models received the engine from their corresponding Cayman variants.
This Boxster S convertible features a 3.2 liter mid-engine flat 6 with a 6-speed manual transmission
that generates 280 horse power with 236 lb-ft of torque and a max of 7200 rpm. This car
goes 0 to 60mph in 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 167 mph.
He attends car shows mostly in the metro area each year. Bruce also attends shows in
nearby small towns as well. Some of the primary shows he likes to attend are the NSRA show in
Springfield, the Ottawa, KS car show as well as the Led Sled Custom Kemp show in Salina, KS.
He sometimes attends the Minnesota Street Rod Association show in Minneapolis which the
last time he went had around 13,000 cars entries
Bruce is a photographer that likes to attend car shows to find cars with “distinctive shapes
to them. He enjoys photographing unique shapes on cars to create abstract “car scapes”. Bruce
really likes cars from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. He also likes to shoot vehicles that have a more
rustic look such as old rusty salvage cars. Bruce also shoots landscapes around the state of Kansas
such as the “Flint Hills” area in Kansas. He also works with the Kansas Land Trust in Lawrence,
KS which does nature conservation activities.
One modification Bruce made after our shoot was to add a new infotainment system that
replaced the original radio and CD system. It’s called the “Porsche Classic Communication Plus
System. He says it has a nice touch screen with USB ports.
