and programs through February.

Guest Policy
While most DC Ranch
programming is intended for
residents only, there may be an
instance where residents would
like to invite a guest. Please
contact the program coordinator
listed on the calendar or
registration page to make this
request. There are many factors
such as space, capacity, food,
beverage, etc. that the program
coordinator must consider for
each program and they may not
always be able to accommodate
the request.

and operations? Are you thinking

Now through Dec. 15, DC Ranch is
accepting applications for Class
IV of the Resident Leadership
Academy. The educational series
involves hands-on activities to
expose participants to the types of
situations they might encounter as
a community leadership volunteer.

Gives: Holiday Toy Drive
Through Dec. 15
Donation drop off at The Homestead
Help DC Ranch Gives collect toys
for Childhelp and brighten a child’s
holiday. A new toy or a new book
can be part of a new beginning for
a child who has survived abuse or
neglect. Drop off donations during
business hours.

RanchCache
Offering a unique twist on traditional
treasure hunting, this program invites
adventurers of all ages to connect
with nature while uncovering the
fascinating geological features and
rich history of DC Ranch through
their smartphone.
Residents may pick up their “Path
& Trail Passport” along with a fun
sticker and a first aid kit at The
Homestead Community Center.
Each passport booklet contains
helpful tips on how to get started,
coordinates to each RanchCache
location and much more.

amenities at The Homestead include a basketball court
and covered playground.

Desert Camp Community Center is currently closed for
construction. The project includes an expanded fitness
center, dedicated fitness studio, enhanced resident
gathering space, four replacement pickleball courts, two
new tennis courts (future phase) and a walking path
around the center. Certain amenities at the community
center may be open during construction.

Hand and Foot Canasta
Thursday | 1 to 3:30 p.m.
The Homestead
This variation of Canasta is easy to learn and the group
will teach you along the way. Instructions available upon
request. Playing is free. Please RSVP to ensure there
are enough players. Bring your own snacks and come
socialize.
Mah Jongg
Tuesday, Dec. 19 and Jan. 16 | 1 to 4 p.m.
The Homestead
Join neighbors for a friendly game of Mah Jongg. All
skill levels are welcome. Be sure to bring your 2023 card.
Playing is free. Please RSVP to ensure there are enough
players. Bring your own snacks and come socialize.

New York City-inspired holiday event. Residents will have a
jolly time ice skating under the stars, watching a Rockette-style
performance, sipping on hot chocolate, enjoying holiday crafts
and basking in the glorious lights - like they do in New York’s
famous landmark! Early registration ($12); regular registration

exciting trip to the historic Goldfield
Ghost Town. Highlights include a tour
of the Mammoth Gold Mine, the thrill
of panning for gold and taking a ride
on Arizona’s only narrow gauge train.

Monday and Wednesday | 9 to 10 a.m.
The Homestead
This class instructs students in the fundamental principles
of yoga poses and alignment, linked together by the breath.
Students will be introduced to yoga through step-by-step
verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed
on student understanding, safety, and stability within each
pose. This class allows students of all levels to move at their
own pace. Students will develop strength, flexibility, balance
and mindfulness. Please bring a yoga mat, towel and water
bottle.
Strength and Balance
Monday and Wednesday | 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The Homestead
This class is designed for all levels to work on strengthening
and lengthening muscles. It also works on your core and
balance to give an all-around workout. A portion of the
class will be done seated on a mat. Light weights and
resistance bands will be available for use. Please bring a
yoga mat, towel and water bottle.
