The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.

Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is defined
in Article III, section 1 of the bylaws in part
as follows: "Membership in Central Valley
Corvettes shall be open to all Corvette
owners who are sponsored by a member in
good standing. Additionally, a prospective
member must, within a three-month period,
attend two consecutive meetings, participate
in two club sanctioned social activities, pay
current membership dues and initiation fees,
and be approved by two-thirds vote of
membership present at a general membership
meeting by secret ballot.
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all members
must be a member of the association
providing club liability insurance for
CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings or
two sanctioned activities as per CVC Bylaws.
CVC membership dues are $60 plus an
initiation fee of $35. Membership entitles two
adult members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

….... a word from our President
After two years as your President, this message will be my last. I am humbled in knowing that the
members put their trust in me to represent them. It has been a pleasure being on the board these past
four years. Let's all support the new board members elected at our last meeting.
Hope all is well with you and your families and that you had a great Thanksgiving. Now the planning
for Christmas begins. Let's do our best during this season to keep in touch and get to know our new
members. We have been connected through our love of Corvettes, but we are social creatures and love
to interact. That's what makes CVC so special. We have a large support group.
Membership approved donating to two well deserving charities. The Champ Camp hosted by River
Way Ranch Camp in Sanger is one of them. Champ Camp is a week-long summer camp for burn
survivors ages 5 – 17. Each year approximately 150 children attend this camp. Champ Camp is free to
all campers and is fully staffed with many volunteers, doctors and counselors. Campers enjoy fun camp
activities and just being kids away from medical procedures. We are also donating to Fresno Bully
Rescue, a volunteer based no kill rescue and shelter dedicated to bully breed dogs. They house over 45
dogs at their faculty with many more in foster homes. They promote educational services, microchipping
and spaying and neutering. They also receive 100's of calls and emails every week for help
and advice for other breeds as well.
Lastly, let's all thank those who plan and host club events. If you have not planned or been a run leader,
please consider doing one in the new year. Connect with other members if you need assistance. I truly
believe that once you help or lead a run, you will enjoy it. You can also help with the annual picnic and
Christmas party. Let's continue the CVC tradition with exciting runs and events.

DECEMBER MEMBERSHIP REPORT
As my time on the board as your membership liasion
comes to an end I want to say thank you each and
everyone of you for making it fun. I look forward to
many future trips on fun runs with y’all and I hope you
stay safe on the road. Remember to ‘Save The Wave’.
Christmas is just around the corner and I want to wish
you and your family the Merriest Christmas EVER. Be
Safe.
We had 56 members and 5 guests at the November general meeting.

Our total membership is still 102 but that number will likely change with a few members
may drop due to hardship or other circumstances. Reminder that all guests are invited to
join us at any of our club sanctioned activities or events. We just ask that you be sure to
sign up on the clipboards and also be sure to add your cell number if you do sign up.

NOVEMBER SUNSHINE & CLOUDS
Death:
Chuck Hall passed away on 11/27. He was a long time CVC club member and he was
fighting with liver cancer. Please pray for his wife Sharon and their family in this time.
Surgery/Health Update:
Mike King was admitted to the hospital to rule out a stroke. He actually was admitted
on their 35 th wedding anniversary. He spent 14 days in hospital and was discharged to
rehab to get stronger. Please continue to pray for his quick recovery.
Don Olson recently had a knee replacement and in-out of procedure and doing great.
Lydia Garcia didn’t make the meeting because she had an urgent took pulled
Happy News
The Merrit’s purchased a new 2023 Red Mist hard top convertible Corvette and ready
to go somewhere. They sold their white GS in one day on Corvette Forum and the
person had a transport truck pick it up and on the way to Texas. Yeah
Jasmine Luna was recently was recognized as a ‘person on the move’ and the
recipient of a scholarship from the Fresno La Reza Lawyers Association. Way to go
Jasmine. Girl you rock.
Vacation:
The Linsner’s are gone on a 6-week Europe trip. They hope to be back on the same
evening of the CVC Christmas Party. Hope all goes well!
Steve & Lydia are packing and heading to Puerto Rico on December 1 st . Have a great
trip!

12 LG. CROISSANTS (ENTIRE COSTCO PACKAGE) – SLICED IN HALF AND FILL
WITH:
FILLING:
2 BLOCKS OF SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE
½ C GRANULATED SUGAR
FEW DROPS OF MILK
MIX TOGETHER WELL AND SPREAD BETWEEN CROISSANTS. PLACE TIGHTLY
PACKED IN BUTTERED 9 X 13 DEEP DISH PAN (METAL OR GLASS)
THEN POUR OVER:
MIXTURE:
12 LARGE EGGS
2 CUPS OF HALF AND HALF (SUBSTITUTE MILK OR HEAVY CREAM OK)
½ CUP OF SYRUP
1 TSP. OF VANILLA
2-3 TSP. OF CINNAMON
POUR MIXTURE OVER ENTIRE CASSEROLE AND PUSH CROISSANTS DOWN
UNDER LIQUID AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. I WILL SQUEEZE A LITTLE SYRUP
OVER THE CASSEROLE PRIOR TO REFRIGERATING.
IT IS BEST IF YOU CAN PLACE COVERED CASSEROLE IN REFRIGERATOR
OVERNIGHT. HOWEVER, IF YOU CAN’T WAIT, ALLOW THE LIQUID TO
ABSORB AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE PRIOR TO COOKING.
PLACE IN 350 OVEN FOR 30 MINUTES COVERED AND
REMOVE FOIL AND COOK FOR AN ADDITIONAL 30 MINUTES

CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES GENERAL MEETING -MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 20, 2023
President Jeff Engelman called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.
Secretary Jody Webb –Jeff asked the members to approve the minutes of October16, 2023,
meeting, as printed in the Newsletter. A motion was made to accept the minutes by David
Sons and was seconded by Chuck Laningham.
VP of Public Relations/Membership – Julie Sons reported that we have 56 members and 5
guests in attendance. New guests Jim and Marylou Sickler were voted in this evening making
us 102 members strong. Priscilla DeLeon, Tim Burton, Alan Valles. August Birthdays and
Anniversaries were announced. Congratulations went out to our anniversary winners Larry and
Janet King.
Treasurer’s Report-Jasmine Luna Aracelli DeCamp read the Club’s Treasury Report with an
accounting of the deposits made and checks written for expenses and our current balance. A
copy is attached. Stephanie Engelman sold raffle tickets for the meeting.
VP of Activities-Jeff Engelman - reported on past runs for Gary Linsner as he was not in
attendance. Upcoming events include the Christmas High Tea, K1 Speed event, and the CVC
Christmas Party, The Superbowl Party at Lebda’s, and the Gambler’s Classic. More to come
regarding these prospective runs. See our activities page for further information.
Parliamentarian-Mike Lebda – At tonight’s meeting general members were to vote on the next
year’s Board members. After the votes were tallied the 2024 Board members were announced
as follows: President-Lenora June Henenfent, Treasurer-Darlene Moats Derringer, VP Of
Activities-Gary Robert Linsner, VP of Public Relations-Pamela Christine Linsner, and Secretary-
Jody Lee Webb.
Newsletter Update – Newsletters articles, flyers and pictures need to be sent to Mike Lebda
and Charlie Fosnaugh by November 25, 2023.
Old Business – The Run Guidelines Committee submitted their document to the general
membership and reviewed it for questions and comments. The new document will be utilized,
and a copy will be attached in the newsletter. The board submitted to the general membership
a request to donate $1,000.00 each to both the Fresno Bully Rescue and the Champ Camp at
Wonder Valley Ranch. A motion was made by Mary Lou Lebda to give to both charities. The
motion was seconded by Charlie Fosnaugh. The membership voted to donate to both.
New Business- Diane Tjerrild discussed the Coat Drive and the Car Movie Nights at Sierra Sky
Park. Mike Lebda invited the club to come and tour their home on December 2 nd for the Home
Tour. T- Shirts were shown and are for sale by order for $20 through Jody Webb.

Sunshine News – Julie reported on the Sunshine and Clouds of the Members, a full report will
be in the newsletter.
Next General Meeting – Club One, Granite Park, Monday, December 18, 2023, at 6:30 PM
Next Board Meeting – The next board meeting will be 11:00 AM, December 11, 2023, at Julie
Sons Home. Please let President Jeff Engelman know if you plan on attending.
Meeting Adjourned – Jeff called for meeting to be adjourned, Bob Peluso made the motion, and
the motion was seconded by Chuck Laningham. The meeting was adjourned at 7:29 P.M.

The Raffle for the June General Meeting was conducted by Glenn Henderson.
The club would like to recognize the prizes were donated by The Webb’s, Sons’, Ashley’s,
Lebda’s, DeCamp/Luna, Engelman’s, Henderson’s, Tjerrild, Laningham’s, Dukes’, Fosnaugh’s,
Tavares, Phillips, Elrich’s, Garrison’s, Derringer’s, Renna, Severance’s, Merritt’s, King’s, and
Garlock’s. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support for the raffle and note
that it is a large source of our income and without the donations we could not have many of
the events that we plan throughout the year.

The runs that we do are a good way to get to know club members and a
way to gain exposure for the club. If you have an idea for a run, reach out
and we can see if we can make it happen. Remember if you sponsor a run,
we need a flyer for the newsletter. If you find that a daunting task, just
ask for help. Included in this is a set of new guidelines for doing runs.
Please look them over and get familiar with them as club begins
implementing the guidelines. The holiday time is usually more about
family and the runs slow down due to the holidays and the weather. Now
is the time to think about runs this spring.

RUN GUIDELINES
1. MEMBERS NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DRIVER’S MEETING PRIOR TO THE RUN TO
BE INFORMED OF ANY RUN SPECIFIC UPDATES.
2. CELL PHONES NEED TO BE ON AND MEMBER CONTACT INFORMATION SHOULD BE
UP TO DATE IN YOUR PHONE TO INSURE A CLEAR LINE OF COMMUNICATION.
3. PLEASE SHOW UP WITH ADEQUATE FUEL AS TO NOT IMPEDE RUN PROGRESS.
4. DURING A RUN MODE OF COMMUNICATION WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE RUN
LEADER. A SECONDARY MODE OF COMMUNICATION WILL BE PUT INTO PLACE IN
CASE THE FIRST IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. THESE WILL BE IN PLACE PRIOR TO
THE RUN START AND ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE ON THE RUN WILL PARTICIPATE IN A
COMMUNICATION CHECK PRIOR TO THE RUN START.
5. PLEASE EXIT ONTO ROADWAY IN A SAFE MANNER IN A LINE THAT WILL BE
PREDESIGNATED BY THE RUN LEADER. THE “SWEEP” WILL BE IN LAST POSITION AT
ALL TIMES.
6. BE ALERT AND PAY ATTENTION TO RADIO/CB/PHONE COMMUNICATIONS FROM
RUN LEADER AND SWEEP TO MINIMIZE ISSUES WHILE MERGING INTO TRAFFIC OR
ALONG THE RUN ROUTE.
7. TO AVOID THE “RUBBER BAND EFFECT”, BE MINDFUL OF YOUR PLACE IN LINE. TRY
NOT TO TAILGATE OR LAG BACK. KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE.
8. IF THE PACE IS A CONCERN FOR YOU, COMMUNICATE WITH THE RUN LEADER AND
EITHER START THE RUN OR REQUEST TO BE MOVED TOWARD THE FRONT OF THE
LINEUP AS THE PACE IS SLOWER THERE THAN IN THE BACK.
9. RUN LEADER WILL SELECT A “SWEEP” THAT WILL BE AT THE REAR OF THE GROUP.
THE SWEEP WILL NOTIFY THE LEADER OF ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE SO THAT HE/SHE
CAN DETERMINE A PLAN TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. IN ADDITION TO THE SWEEP, A
MID PACK RELAY MAY BE CHOSEN DURING LARGE RUNS THAT CAN RELAY
MESSAGES TO THE BACK OF THE PACK.
10. IF YOU ARE IN AN “OTC”, (OTHER THAN CORVETTE) CAR, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED
TO RUN BEHIND THE SWEEP CAR FOR THE DUARATION OF THE RUN.
11. ANY QUESTIONS NOT COVERED IN THESE GUIDELINES SHOULD BE DIRECTED
TOWARDS THE RUN LEADER.
