We welcome students from 3 to 18 years old, from
Nursery to Year 13. In Years 9-11, students work
towards the International General Certificate of
Secondary Education (IGCSE). In years 12 and 13,
we offer both the International Baccalaureate
(IB) Diploma and the International Business and
Technology Education Council (BTEC) Diploma.

Language Programme and our Department of

IBDP
Students choose 6 subjects
► 3 x Higher Level (HL)

Application
All DCIS students wishing to continue into Year 12 must complete the Internal Sixth Form Application Form. Please note that
entry to DCIS Sixth Form is not automatic and all students need to submit an application. There is no application fee for internal
applicants. Please note that this is not a commitment on your part to accept a place, nor does it represent a formal offer from the
school.
The application form needs to be submitted by Tuesday 28th January 2025 for priority internal applications.

Offer of a Place
All internal applicants will receive their Sixth Form offer letter by Friday 14th February 2025.
Acceptance and Guarantee of a Place
Students need to confirm acceptance of their place by Friday 7th March 2025. The offer of placement will be conditional on the
student gaining appropriate grades in their I/GCSE examinations.

Application
External students applying for Sixth Form at Dover Court International School need to first submit an online
application through the DCIS website, along with all supporting documents and pay the S$825 application
fee.
We accept applications all year round. The next intake for Year 12 will be in August 2025. We do not accept
any new students into Year 13, as it is the second year of a two-year programme.
DCIS is committed to safeguarding the welfare of students. By submitting an application, parents give
consent for us to contact the student’s current/ previous school and ask them to complete a Confidential
Student Reference Form and obtain information regarding any safeguarding or child protection concerns.
Please be sure to provide accurate contact information to avoid delays in processing the application.
Sixth Form Application Documents

• Copies of the last two years’ school reports
• External exam results or predicted grades if available
• Any documentation relating to any past, current or future additional services provided, for example
speech and language reports. OT reports, educational psychologist reports etc.
• A copy of the student’s passport ID page
• A copy of each parents’ passport ID page
• A copy of the front and back of both parents’ and student’s appropriate Singapore visas/passes, i.e.
Employment Pass, Dependent Pass, Permanent Resident Pass or Re-entry slip, Singapore citizenship,
NRIC

Upon receipt of the above documents, the Admissions team will contact you for submission of your course
selection.
Assessments
I/GCSE Applicants
All students applying for the DCIS Sixth Form will be required to take an online Cognitive Ability Test (CAT4).
Non-I/GCSE Applicants
Students from educational systems where the (International) General Certificate of Secondary Education are
not completed are required to sit the following assessments:
• Cognitive Ability Test (CAT4)
• Written assessment in English
• Written assessment in Maths
• Written assessment in Science
Offer of a Place
Once we are in receipt of all application documentation and all necessary assessments have been completed
and approved by the Admissions Committee, we will send you written confirmation of the offer of placement.
The offer of placement will be conditional on the student gaining appropriate grades in their I/GCSE (or
equivolent) examinations if applicable.
Acceptance and Guarantee of a Place
If you wish to accept the offer of placement at Dover Court International School, we ask that you
pay the registration fee of S$3150 before the deadline stated in the formal acceptance letter. If we
do not receive payment by the deadline and the year group is oversubscribed, the place may be
offered to another applicant.

THE DOVERIAN
SCHOLARSHIP 2025-2027
OVERVIEW
The Doverian scholarship for students in the DCIS Sixth Form was first introduced in 2017 to provide financial recognition
to students studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme or Business Diploma (BTEC). The scholarships
recognise students for exceptional academic performance and for their contributions to the wider school and local community.
The Doverian scholarship is awarded to an exclusive number of students, both internal and external, on a merit basis.
Scholarships of up to 50% of tuition fees can be offered to students.
Scholarship holders are expected to maintain their academic performance and community, arts or sporting contributions to
retain the scholarship throughout the two-year programme. Scholarships will be reviewed annually, and discretion is given to
the Head of School to withdraw scholarships.
AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS
Students can only apply for one of the following scholarships. Given the limited availability of scholarships, students should
be confident of being considered outstanding in their contributions and achievements related to this aspect of our school
community when applying.
The Arts
This scholarship celebrates students who have contributed
extensively to the arts in their school career. This could be
through school productions, lunchtime events, external
performances and exhibitions of work. It is expected that
students receiving this scholarship will continue their
outstanding contributions to the arts at DCIS and, if studying
IBDP, select one of the arts as a subject choice.
Sports
This scholarship recognises students who have been
outstanding in their contribution to school sports over the last
three or more years. This could be across a variety of sports
through school fixtures, tournaments, and events like the
international FOBISIA games. It can also include the promotion
of sporting events and activities through House competitions
and Co-Curricular Activities. It is expected that students
receiving this scholarship will continue to represent DCIS
values through their sporting endeavours.
Dover Court Values
Our values are central to our school community, so this
scholarship celebrates students who have consistently
demonstrated the values of Diversity, Integrity, Creativity,
Kindness, Resilience and Excellence. This can be demonstrated
through engagement with learning, Co-Curricular Activities,
lunchtime clubs, school events, house points and learning
rewards. Students receiving this scholarship would be
expected to continue to strive to embody and promote the
DCIS values in all aspects of school life.
Academic Achievement
This scholarship section is to recognise students who have
achieved academic excellence across a range of subjects in
their I/GCSEs or equivalent, as well as excellent engagement
with learning. This would mean scoring an I/GCSE grade 8s
and 9s across a range of subjects, marking the candidates as
outstanding in their academic achievement.
Social Impact
This scholarship appreciates students who have contributed to
the social environment at school and in the wider world. This
might be through initiatives that link to the UN Sustainability
Goals like the hugely successful Period Project run by DCIS
students. Students receiving this scholarship will be expected
to continue with existing social impact projects or engage in
new initiatives.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCEDURES
For Internal Students
All internal candidates are welcome to speak to the Head of Sixth Form to seek advice on their eligibility upon the opening of Sixth
Form Applications (scholarships@dovercourt.edu.sg).
To apply for a scholarship, students need to submit a one-page Personal Statement, expressing why they should receive a
scholarship, with any supporting documents in a sealed envelope (addressed to the Head of Secondary). This should be handed in
to the Secondary Executive Assistant’s office at S001 by 28th January 2025.
The Personal Statement could include:
• Which scholarship section the student is applying for in the Sixth Form at DCIS
• A description of the student’s strengths and why they are suitable for the scholarship section they have applied for
• What the student has contributed to DCIS in their time at the school
• What the student will continue to offer to the school community whilst in the Sixth Form
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to interview with a school leadership panel following the application process. Further details
will be sent to shortlisted students.
For External Students
In addition to the Admissions process, to apply for a scholarship, external candidates should complete the following alongside
their DCIS application for admission.
Please submit the following documents:
• A one-page Personal Statement from the student expressing why they believe they deserve a DCIS Sixth Form scholarship for
the scholarship section they are applying for
• Two letters of recommendation from their current school, teacher or supervisor
• An official transcript / copies of school reports for the past two years of study

Students who leave the school before completing their programme of study may be required to pay back the scholarship
allocation received, at the discretion of the Principal.
