Alpecin-Deceuninck
Alpecin-Deceuninck
Alpecin-Deceuninck has a new challenge in 2024 after achieving memorable
results in recent seasons. Mathieu Van der Poel will once again lead the
Belgian team. Despite having a star in his ranks as the world champion, who
will focus his objectives around the Paris Olympics, it seems that the
grandson of Raymond Poulidor will reduce his appearances in the road
season. Already in 2023, Jasper Philipsen took over the reins very well,
being perhaps the fashionable sprinter, although he is a rider to be
reckoned with also on other types of courses such as, for example, in the
classics, with the memory of that memorable performance in Paris-
Roubaix.
Alongside them, a lot of fast and uncomfortable riders like Kaden Groves,
who also demonstrated in Giro and Vuelta the great level of his legs in the
final meters. Timo Kielich and Henri Uhlig are two of the promising young
riders to watch out for. Also noteworthy is Søren Kragh Andersen, a third
leg to keep an eye on in the classics and who has already demonstrated his
talent on countless occasions. Axel Laurance, U23 world champion, which is
already a very good letter of introduction, and despite having had an
irregular year, he is very fast, a good passer and a rider to be taken into
account. The team has many riders to exploit definitively. We have Stan Van
Tricht, Luca Vergallitto, Jason Osborne, who is not so young anymore.
Others like Quinten Hermans, Gianni Vermeersch. Nicola Conci, Michael
Gogl... who are also not experiencing much regularity.
A squad full of finishers to be reckoned with in the field of partial victories
and classics, but still lacking leadership in the general classification of the
tours, be they one-week or three-week.
Arkéa - B&B Hotels
Arkéa - B&B Hotels
Arkea B&B Hotels was reinforced in mid-2023 with its most important star,
Arnaud Démare. The Gallic is a waste of class on all sides. A team that has
been reinforced with a very interesting Vincenzo Albanese, coming from
Eolo-Kometa. A rider used to be in the top positions and that adds value to
this French team. In addition to these two riders, we have another rider like
Florian Sénéchal, more than valid for one-day races. Very interesting
former French champion, although he still drags the memory of the
'Wolfpack' and it is known that outside their ranks is cold. He has plenty of
class. Among the other additions, we can talk about the promising Raúl
García Pierna and the fast Clément Venturini as two very interesting
signings.
Impossible not to mention Miles Scotson or Laurens Huys, who join the
discipline of this team in this new season. From there, we can highlight
Luca Mozzato, who took several steps forward in 2023, as well as the
Spaniard Cristián Rodríguez (who we hope will play a greater role), the
promising Frenchman Kevin Vauquelin, Jenthe Biermans, Clément
Champoussin, Matis Louvel, Louis Barré, who made a great start to the
season, Alessandro Verre, or Ewen Costiou, who is one of my favorite riders.
Other veterans like Anthony Delaplace, Amaury Capiot, Daniel McLay and
some others give an interesting and competitive touch to a team that
combines young promises with experience and reality, designed to achieve
results mainly in one-day races.
Astana Qazaqstan Team
Astana Qazaqstan Team
It is true that Astana needed a facelift. It needed to reconvert or die, and it is
partially renewed with more than interesting signings. The idea of Mark
Cavendish achieving the record number of stage victories in the Tour de
France continues and has been supported by additions such as Davide
Ballerini and Michael Mørkøv, who are not the only ones to reinforce the
sprint area. Rüdiger Selig and Max Kanter have also arrived, and hopefully
we will see him shine as an individual. The main idea has been that: to
reinforce the fast men, but not the only one.
Henok Mulubrhan, named best African rider last season, has been brought
in from Bardiani. Lorenzo Fortunato joins the Kazakh discipline and is yet to
explode. Ide Schelling arrives from Bora Hansgrohe and is a good midmountain
finisher. Norwegian Anthon Charmig, from Uno-X, a very classy
puncheur. There are other young riders such as Harold Tejada, who will
have to watch an interesting progression, or Michele Gazzoli, who despite
his comings and goings is a rider to take into account, or Santiago Umba,
who was one of the great promises of Colombian cycling years ago. The rest
is made up of riders who are already known at home, such as Alexey
Lutsenko, who ends up being the one who pulls the chestnuts out of the fire
for Astana, as Simone Velasco, as Cees Bol .... Interesting cyclists mixed
with others more disappeared like Samuele Battistella, who lived a big step
back in 2023, or the giant Gleb Syritsa, who when he broke into the
professional scene seemed that he was going to break the molds and has
lived more overshadowed than desirable.
A team that is improving significantly, but that may still be far from what it
was a few years ago. Let's hope for the step forward that we can sense this
season, but it is still true that they have a world to grow.
Bahrain - Victorious
Bahrain - Victorious
Few additions in a Bahrain-Victorious that has seen the retirement of
Heinrich Haussler and the departure of others like Mikel Landa or Jonathan
Milan, important riders for the structure. They have young promises like
the very young Finlay Pickering (coming from Trinity Racing), Alberto
Bruttomesso (one of the riders we are most looking forward to seeing) and
Torstein Træen, less young and who has shown in Uno-X that he was a rider
to be reckoned with in the mountains.
From there, a team that retains a lot of talent. Riders like Pello Bilbao, solid
and still taking steps forward, reaching excellence at a well advanced stage
of his career. Matej Mohorič, who has between eyebrow and eyebrow some
classic. He is the world gravel champion and knows what it is to win in
Monuments. There are also Santiago Buitrago or the veteran Damiano
Caruso. Also young and talented riders like Antonio Tiberi, Matevž Govekar,
Edoardo Zambanini, who also happens to be a very interesting rider, Nicolò
Buratti, Fran Miholjević... It's a block based on an interesting mix of young
riders with more veteran ones like the aforementioned Carusso or Wout
Poels. Jack Haig cannot be included there, but they are names that offer
guarantees of solidity. Very interesting Fred Wright, who does not finish off
despite having excellent conditions; Andrea Pasqualon, although he is
already a veteran; Nikias Arndt, a rider who usually does not miss
opportunities; Dušan Rajović, very fast; Johan Price-Pejtersen, another
young rider.... In general it is an interesting team, but it does not end up
bringing together big stars.
It is true that it has some riders capable of looking the big names in the
peloton in the eye, but it remains to finish off this Bahrain, which gives the
feeling of lacking something.

BORA - hansgrohe
BORA - hansgrohe
It is one of the best reinforced teams in the peloton. We know about the
arrival of Primoz Roglič, one of the team's mainstays. We know about the
definitive departure of Cian Uijtdebroeks. But it is that cyclists of the stature
of Daniel Felipe Martínez, who should not be underestimated, Matteo
Sobrero, Sam Welsford, the young Roger Adrià, the also young Emil
Herzog... arrive at Bora. They have been reinforced very well. Of all of them,
Daniel Felipe Martínez stands out, who in addition to the team work that he
can develop, comes with the desire to find himself again as a rider.
For the high mountains they have a great level, with Roglič himself and
others like Aleksandr Vlasov, Lennard Kämna, Jai Hindley, Sergio Higuita
(very bad his season 2023), Emmanuel Buchmann, Giovanni Aleotti, Florian
Lipowitz, or Max Schachmann, far from being the one who won twice in
Paris-Nice. Good reinforcements for a team that is expected to be a leader in
the new season. It grows in the Tour de France and stage races, but does not
leave aside the one-day races, with riders like Danny Van Poppel, who this
year should have much more prominence after the departure of Sam
Bennett or Jordi Meeus.
It does not falter at almost any point, on any terrain. It was necessary to bet
heavily on the Tour de France, and we'll have to see how the German team's
bet works out. It is complicated, but it will certainly be a competitive squad
at the very least.
Cofidis
Cofidis
The French team has been reinforced quite well. The arrivals of Ben
Hermans, Kenny Elissonde and Gorka Izagirre represent a block of veteran
but quality cyclists. More than these, who are well known, I would mention
Aimé De Gendt, Stanisław Aniołkowski (fast rider the Pole) and, above all,
Stefano Oldani, a very interesting signing who can shine in many terrains
with the gap he finds in this team. They are very talented cyclists who can
get very powerful results. Also arriving are men like Ludovic Robeet, Milan
Fretin, Nicolas Debeaumarché, Nolann Mahoudo, Oliver Knight.... Very
interesting riders who join what was already there. Cyclists who can shine
on different stages.
Guillaume Martin is very consistent, who has many days of competition and
good results. Axel Zingle is a great rider, fast, who has evolved a lot. Ion
Izagirre doesn't need to be introduced. Nor Bryan Coquard, a veteran who
knows how to win in the WorldTour. We don't have much to say about Jesús
Herrada either. Alexis Rennard is yet to explode.
The Spaniards Jonathan Lastra and Rubén Fernández, the German Simon
Geschke? It is a team that without having great stars, defends itself, remains
solvent in the top category, makes good signings, does not stop taking care
of the young talents... A fighting team that year after year gets a great return
on its parts.
Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team
Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team
Although it may seem that the main attraction of the team is the entry of
Decathlon? at the sporting level they also offer novelties. They have made a
more than interesting signing with Sam Bennett, which we will see how it
turns out. He is a cyclist who has been very down lately, far from what the
Irish sprinter had been in other seasons. Another interesting signing is that
of Victor Lafay, pulling from the chequebook. He is a rider who proved his
quality in the Tour de France, being close to the best. Very important for
France, although we will have to wait for the effects of media pressure, a
classic.
He looks to be quite independent, and is a great signing, very strong. Bruno
Armirail and Dries De Bondt are other interesting additions. They will join
the team's already strong squad inherited from the last few years. Riders
like Felix Gall, who took a giant step forward in 2023 after a magnificent
Tour de France. The quality of Ben O'Connor or Benoît Cosnefroy, irregular,
but one of the most powerful talents in the peloton. If he wanted to, he could
be one of the best. Riders with a lot of grit like Aurélien Paret-Peintre, like
Clément Berthet, Oliver Naesen, Nicolas Prudhomme, Geoffrey Bouchard,
Stan Dewulf.
Also with a lot of talent like Andrea Vendrame, even if he is already a
veteran, like Dorian Godon, Franck Bonnamour, Pierre Gautherat, who
already in the U23 World Cup showed good signs, who passes the middle
mountain, is combative.... It's a courageous team, with determination. Very
interesting. With the goal of continuing to grow and settle in the World Tour
with such interesting signings.
EF Education-EasyPost
EF Education-EasyPost
The American team brings in Rui Costa in perhaps its last big contract. It
signs talented young riders to pay a lot of attention to, such as Irishmen
Darren Rafferty and Archie Ryan, Lukas Nerurkar, Jack Rootkin-Gray, Jardi
van der Lee and Markel Beloki, in addition to the arrival of Yuhi Todome
and Harry Sweeny. These are very good signings for this team, who look to
the future and add to the talent already on the roster. Ben Healy was able to
show in 2023 to show all his talent. They also bring back Michael Valgren,
who should return to an interesting level after a season in the development
squad where he has recovered from his problems.
Neilson Powless, Marijn van den Berg, Richard Carapaz, who we hope will
return to the path of good results after a somewhat fateful season for him,
Hugh Carthy, Jefferson Cepeda, Alberto Bettiol, who should not forget that
he has a Tour of Flanders, Simon Carr, who took steps forward at the end of
last season and is a rider we will talk about a lot. Then, veteran riders like
Esteban Chaves, Rigoberto Urán, Andrey Amador, who give that touch of
experience and solidity. We must mention Sean Quinn, Stefan Bissegger,
one of the best time trialists of the moment who has not had his best year, or
Georg Steinhauser, nephew of Jan Ullrich.
An interesting team, one of the best in terms of reinforcements and in
which we must keep a close eye on talents who will be pushing the
accelerator very hard in 2024.

Groupama - FDJ
Groupama - FDJ
Groupama continues to add very interesting young riders with things to say
in the future. Even so, not as many of the development team as in 2023,
going from seven to one: Eddy Le Huitouze. A 20-year-old rider who has not
had great results, but has had some success on different stages. Good in
time trial, champion in the national U23 in the last two editions and good for
the flat.
He is the only "young" that they incorporate, since the other signings are
more advanced in age: Matthew Walls (coming from Bora), Cyril Barthe
(returning from his idyll in Burgos BH), Clément Russo (very interesting
rider, fast and coming from Arkea), Rémy Rochas (good climber from
Cofidis, who could be an important rider), Sven Erik Bystrøm (with the
doubt to see which version of the Norwegian we will find) and another
Frenchman Marc Sarreau (sprinter from AG2R).
To these men we will have to add what was already in the squad, which was
quite a lot. Very young riders like Lenny Martinez, Romain Grégoire,
Laurence Pithie, Lewis Askey or Sam Watson. They have already proven to
be at the level to fight for results in almost any race. Without going any
further, it should not be forgotten that the first of them was the leader of the
last Vuelta a España. Alongside them, more established riders such as
Valentin Madouas, David Gaudu, Stefan Küng, Rudy Molard, Quentin
Pacher.
An interesting team that year after year is getting better and better. They
have clear their essence and they maintain it one more season.
INEOS Grenadiers
INEOS Grenadiers
The Grenadiers have made a major effort to keep Carlos Rodriguez in their
ranks. We already know him, a born talent who should be the undisputed
leader of the team in the Tour de France. Three important riders have
arrived, such as Tobias Foss, former world time trial champion, who should
fit perfectly into the Ineos philosophy and who should return to the version
of himself that allowed him to compete on several stages, as he climbs well
and performs best in the time trials, where he shows a lot of class. Or like
Andrew August, 18 years old. A rider who has great results on U.S. soil and
has been junior national champion. He should be a rider who will soon bear
fruit for the British team. Or Oscar Rodriguez, a Spanish climber who comes
from Movistar. Added to all these additions is Theodor Storm, who finally
joins a year earlier than expected. A lot of class.
Among the rest, a lot of quality. What about Filippo Ganna, Tom Pidcock, or
Geraint Thomas. There is no doubt about the quality of Magnus Sheffield,
despite his bad 2023, or Joshua Tarling, who was discovered for the general
public this past season. Let's hope that Ethan Hayter recovers the path of
victories and results, that 2023 has been full of injuries for him. We must
also count on his brother, Leo Hayter, and other riders like Thymen
Arensman, who we hope his misfortune is over, and Egan Bernal, who
wants to return to being that rider who fights three-week tours and who has
a Tour and a Giro in his palmarès, it should not be forgotten.
Among the young riders who have yet to come out of their shells, Canadian
Michael Leonard, a very talented cyclist, and Kim Heiduk stand out. Ineos
Grenadiers has a team of fairly well-established riders.
Intermarché - Wanty
Intermarché - Wanty
They have had to replace many casualties. Men of the importance of Rui
Costa, Aimé De Gendt, Loic Vliegen, Sven Bystrom, Niccolò Bonifazio... have
left the team and they have had to cover those losses. And they do it with
riders perhaps not so well known, but with a lot of talent. The young Italian
Francesco Busatto, who comes from the Intermarché subsidiary, is a rider
with a lot of class, fast and who has won the Liège in U23 and that's a big
word.
He is not the only interesting rider. The same jump to the elite team is made
by Alexy Faure Prost and the unpronounceable Roel van Sintmaartensdijk.
The former has been French U23 champion, he looked very good in Aosta or
in the Girobio, while the latter has not achieved such good results. But he is
a good rider, very big and, why not, he can be a rider more than valid for
professionalism. Finally, Vito Braet and Kevin Colleoni join the team. Braet
did not have the results expected of him, a good sprinter. And Colleoni did
not end up breaking at Jayco. A great climber for Intermarché. A team that
has Gerben Thijssen, Lorenzo Rota, Biniam Girmay, who signed a bad 2023
and who will hopefully return to the path of his previous season, Rune
Herregodts, who last year showed signs of his great quality.... Also
continuing is Taco Van der Hoorn, a rider who has been a victim of multiple
injuries, although he is confident of returning to his level in 2024.
These are his hopes, although Mike Teunissen could be the key to this team.
He already made his mark in 2023 with victory in Renewi Tour and Tour of
Norway, and could take further steps forward within the team.
Lidl - Trek
Lidl - Trek
It continues to be reinforced with a high level. It's true that very interesting
riders are leaving, such as Emīls Liepiņš, Antwan Tolhoek, Antonio Tiberi,
Kenny Elissonde... But others arrive with much higher level: Carlos Verona,
Sam Oomen, Patrick Konrad, Tim Declercq, Andrea Bagioli, Simone
Consonni, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Ryan Gibbons, Fabio Felline and Jonathan
Milan. Of these, highlight Bagioli, who already in the Italian classics at the
end of the season showed the kind of rider he is. Also Tao Geoghegan Hart,
who last year took a step forward in Ineos and comes with the leader's label.
He changed coaches, changed a few more things and should find the niche
at Lidl to continue to grow.
Milan is one of the trendy sprinters, especially in the last Giro. He is young
and has a lot to prove. The rest is mid-range, but improves a lot the average
level of the team. A team that has some real riders in the squad like Mads
Pedersen, Mattias Skjelmose, Toms Skujiņš, Giulio Ciccone, Jasper Stuyven,
Thibau Nys, who if he keeps growing can achieve very important results,
the veteran Bauke Mollema, Daan Hoole, Natnael Tesfatsion, Juampe Lopez
(eager to improve his 2023), Edward Theuns, Quinn Simmons, who also did
not have a great 2023 due to injuries.... In short, a very interesting team,
which continues to be reinforced with a lot of criteria and with cyclists of
great quality.
It relies on the block, without having a superstar, although Mads Pedersen
can be considered as such. Riders to fight on all fronts, a very good team,
this Lidl-Trek, which continues to improve its rooster every year.

Movistar Team
Movistar Team
Movistar has strengthened its ranks considerably, with up to ten signings.
Nairo Quintana stands out, and we'll see how he returns after a year without
racing. He should be one of the strongholds of the team, and he already has
goals in the Giro and the Vuelta. A big batch of Italian riders arrives, very
interesting. Davide Cimolai comes to reinforce Fernando Gaviria's team.
The young Manilo Moro and Lorenzo Milesi, and Davide Formolo, a veteran,
have a lot to say.
Other young riders from home like Javier Romo, Carlos Canal, Jon
Barrenetxea or Pelayo Sánchez have a lot to say and to grow. They are all
very interesting, each in their own field. They should have a logical
evolution. Perhaps it is taking longer for Romo to start. We have to wait and
trust in all the cycling he has in his legs. Another important signing is Rémi
Cavagna, who comes to gain prominence and is an important rider in the
classics. If he is given freedom, he can become a key rider. Among the
riders who were already there, we have to wait for the growth of Oier
Lazkano, hope that Enric Mas can have a normal season or within
expectations, that Einer Rubio, Mühlberger, Gaviria, Aranburu or García
Cortina return to the path of victories, or that Guerreiro achieves great
results. He didn't have a great 2023, he was well below expectations. We
must hope that Gonzalo Serrano gets his place, whatever time of the season
it is. And we must also watch others like Ivan Romeo, who made a leap last
year, Vinicius Rangel or Johan Jacobs, who must be seen to grow and
improve. An interesting team that has been reinforced very well, and it
could be their best signing period in a long time.
‘Los telefónicos’ have taken a leap forward and have known where to look.
Now we just have to wait for the results to come and the expectations to be
fulfilled.
Soudal - Quick Step
Soudal - Quick Step
Lefevere's boys have made some important signings, such as Mikel Landa,
who is looking for a new role in some races and will be helping Remco in
others. Among the young arrivals, there is a high level. William Junior
Lecerf is one of the most interesting. Last year he won Lombardia U23, did a
great Tour de l'Avenir, a good Girobio... A rider who despite his youth has a
lot to say in the mountains. He will not be the only one, as Gil Gelders, who
had a great season winning a stage in the Girobio, or Paul Magnier, who
arrives from Trinity Racing with the American Luke Lamperti, a rider with
much more than speed. The arrival of young riders does not end there.
Others who come from home, such as Warre Vangheluwe, said to be one of
the sprinters of the future, Jordi Warlop, already older but coming from the
subsidiary and who is an old acquaintance.
Ayco Bastiaens, who is believed to be replacing Tim Declercq, also signs in
this transition. Antoine Huby and Gianni Moscon have also arrived. The
former is younger, it is noted that in Soudal they do not give a stitch without
thread, and the latter, more experienced in the elite. If he reaches the level
he has shown in his big days, he will be a great signing. On top of all this,
there is the talent that was already in this squad, with some truly great
riders. Obviously led by Remco Evenepoel, well escorted by Tim Merlier,
Ilan Van Wilder, Yves Lampaert or Julian Alaphilippe, who wants to take
another step this 2024 to return to his level. As will Kasper Asgreen. James
Knox, Mauri Vansevenant, or Jan Hirt, after a somewhat weak season in
2023 for what was expected of him, will be important. In the group of
youngsters, highlight Martin Svrček, who at the U23 World Cup showed
signs of his quality. And it is a team full of it, with many riders of very high
class, quality. There are 27 riders, but they all want to find their place, their
moment.
Team dsm-firmenich PostNL
Team dsm-firmenich PostNL
It has interesting signings, but obviously one must stand out above the rest,
which is Fabio Jakobsen. He is a very important rider, a key rider, a winner,
talented, with a high level. He has proven to be more than recovered from
that famous crash caused by Dylan Groenewegen. He is not the only
important signing made by this team. Emīls Liepiņš arrives to integrate that
trio, but also to find his opportunities. Like Julius van den Berg, Enzo
Leijnse or Bram Welten. Interesting riders and others who may come to
pass more unnoticed, such as Frank van den Broek, but who has been
trained and who is interesting. Timo Roosen, who is a fighter and a hard
worker, is coming from Jumbo Visma, as is the climber Gijs Leemreize, who
was more visible in 2022 than in 2023. If they give him some pampering and
space, he could be a very interesting signing.
Australian Patrick Eddy also arrives, who comes from the development
team and should be followed even if he has not had great results so far.
Then there is the case of Warren Barguil, the veteran French rider who
returns to DSM to give his last breaths. Add Romain Bardet, perhaps the
great leader of the team, and others who have to keep growing like Max
Poole, Kevin Vermaerke, Nils Eekhoff, Oscar Onley, Matthew Dinham,
Casper van Uden, Tobias Lund Andresen or Pavel Bittner. These are all
riders who have made their mark, who have grown and who have to be on
the rise.
DSM is a good team, which as always relies on its young riders. Always keep
an eye on these riders who for one reason or another seem to end up leaving
the team for bigger teams.

Team Jayco AlUla
Team Jayco AlUla
It is a team with three big signings. The first and most talked-about is Caleb
Ewan, who is eager to make a big impact. Luke Plapp, one of the great
Aussie talents of this era, has also arrived. And finally, Mauro Schmid, who
is a very interesting addition from a rider who comes to Jayco to continue to
grow. We have to add a veteran Max Walscheid, who has good and not so
good days, being a hard rider with final speed. Two young signings like
Davide De Pretto and Anders Foldager are two great acquisitions. They are
riders to keep a close eye on, and they should be given a lot of attention. It's
hard to say it's the perfect team for them, but for talent they should be kept
an eye on.
The rest of the team we already know. They are led by Simon Yates, they
have Dylan Groenewegen as a great asset in the sprint, and an all-rounder
like Michael Matthews. They are not the only ones, with Eddie Dunbar doing
a great role in the Giro d'Italia. He's had a hard time exploding, but he's
done it. We have Filippo Zana, who is an Italian rider who continues to
grow, Felix Engelhardt, Chris Harper, Luka Mezgec... riders who are older,
but definitely very interesting. From there, I would like to highlight Jesús
David Peña, who is a Colombian who is still around 23 years old, and who in
2023 made an important leap. We should expect him to continue this
upward trend. The Australian Kelland O'Brien is 25 years old and is an
irregular cyclist, but when he has a good day, he has a very good day. Last
but not least, Welay Hagos Berhe. The Ethiopian is a great climber. Blake
Quick is an important sprinter, although the arrival of Ewan will reduce his
importance. A team that has been reinforced, which is confident that the
team's great stalwarts will achieve good results and add to the good quality
of its signings in this coming season.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike
Team Visma | Lease a Bike
To analyze Visma-Lease a Bike is to analyze one of the strongest teams in the
international peloton. All the riders are talented and it is difficult to single
out one signing over another. Cian Uijtdebroeks (with intrigue until the end,
but they get another talent), Matteo Jorgenson, Per Strand Hagenes, from
the development team and who already raced and won some races with the
elite team, or the also Norwegian Johannes Staune-Mittet. They are riders
who arrive to get results, as well as Bart Lemmen or Ben Tulett, who will
finally try to find a team where he can show his talent. The additions are all
a mix of talent, youth and being consolidated in the international scene.
We are talking about a team that has Jonas Vingegaard, Wout Van Aert, Olav
Kooij, Christophe Laporte, Sepp Kuss? It's true that they lose Primoz Roglič,
but man for man they are 28 authentic riders, with a very high level. If we
highlight one by one, we would not finish. A very high level team, very
talented, difficult as rivals.
If we look at the ages and leaving aside Gesink or Kruijswijk, the vast
majority are all under 30 years old, with ten riders who have not even
reached 25 years of age. Some of them, moreover, are additions for this
2024. We'll see what happens with Michel Hessmann. Vingegaard has set his
sights on the Tour and Vuelta, Wout Van Aert is opening up to new horizons,
but the Visma summary is that wherever they go they will fight for the
victory because being second is not enough for them.
UAE Team Emirates
UAE Team Emirates
Another of the teams that analyzed man by man is impressive. Among the
riders arriving, consolidated riders like Nils Politt and Pavel Sivakov, two
great riders who need no introduction and who come despite everything to
do team work. They are joined by riders with a great future as Igor Arrieta,
coming from Kern Pharma and with much to offer yet, Filippo Baroncini,
Antonio Morgado, one of the riders that any follower of the U23 world
wanted to see in the elite, or Isaac Del Toro, champion of the Tour de
l'Avenir, and who has been one of the great surprises of the season and who
we are looking forward to seeing among the seniors.
To these we must add everything that was already in the team. We are
talking about a squad of 30 riders. If we leave aside Michael Vink, who
earned his presence in the team through the MyWhoosh platform, there is
not one rider to discard: they are all great riders. If we start with Tadej
Pogačar, there's little to say. And if we end with Jan Christen, who is a
talent, neither. They have Adam Yates, Diego Ulissi, Brandon McNulty, Joao
Almeida, Juan Ayuso, George Bennett, Sebas Molano, Marc Soler, Jay Vine...
it's impossible to finish.
A great team that could only be compared to the Visma and it would be a
topic that would give for a great debate, which gives for all fields, to go to
win. And it is difficult to highlight something that is not already known,
apart from the youngsters who are yet to explode fully, as the
aforementioned Jan Christen, who has already finished 2023 in the senior
squad. Racers, talents, and a UAE that comes once again to try to revalidate
its title of No. 1 team in the world.

Teams
AG Insurance - Soudal Team
It has as its standard bearer the South African Ashleigh Moolman, who
along with Justine Ghekiere and Ally Wollaston are perhaps the most
outstanding of the team. Curious to see what Sarah Gigante will do after
breaking her contract with Movistar. She has almost not even competed
with the Spanish team and previously showed a lot of talent. Very
interesting riders in this team, like Ilse Pluimers, Maud Rijnbeek or Marthe
Goossens. All of them have been seen, under 23 years of age and should
continue to excel. It is worth mentioning the presence of the Spanish Mireia
Benito, who is the Spanish champion in time trial. A cyclist without great
results at international level, but who will have to be followed closely.
Canyon//SRAM Racing
The runner of note is Katarzyna Niewiadoma. Also Elise Chabbey and Chloe
Dygert, who in 2023 showed to have regained a great level. Soraya Paladin
and Ricarda Bauernfeind are other interesting names in the squad. Among
the group of riders expected to make a leap forward in 2024 are Shari
Bossuyt, the sprinter, although it remains to be seen what her final situation
is, and the very young Antonia Niedermaier and Zoe Bäckstedt, who are two
riders to keep a close eye on. The former won the Tour of the Pyrenees, was
seen in l'Avenir, while the British rider is a multidisciplinary rider, with a
name that overflows cycling and both two very interesting jewels of the
future.
CERATIZIT-WNT Pro Cycling Team
This team has important riders like Marta Lach or Cédrine Kerbaol, who
despite her youth proves to be one of the riders to watch, having been the
best young rider of the previous Tour Femmes. They are a young squad that
adds Martina Fidanza, one of the most interesting of the team, with
presence also on the track. Lea Lin Teutenberg is another rider to keep an
eye on. They don't have any big stars, but they do have a multitude of
cyclists with class and a lot of potential. If they are inspired, both the
Spanish Sandra Alonso and the Austrian Kathrin Schweinberger can
surprise, as they have already shown. Interesting team and one of the most
beautiful jerseys in the peloton.
FDJ - SUEZ
It has a great rider like Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig, the smile of the peloton, as
the reference of the team. It's not only the Danish, because the team has a
lot of quality. There is Evita Muzic, Grace Brown, Loes Adegeest, also Marta
Cavalli, who despite not having regained her 2022 level is always to be
reckoned with. Others like Vittoria Guazzini, already proven on the
international scene, are still young. Lauren Molengraaf has more results in
cyclo-cross than on the road, but she can get great results and we should
follow her. Also Lea Curinier, 22 years old, and a great road racer.
Interesting squad, no doubt, and with a lot of talent among its big names.

Fenix-Deceuninck
There is a high level in Fenix-Deceuninck, despite not having great results
and having several multidisciplinary riders. As a spearhead, perhaps we
can talk about Christina Schweinberger, who made the podium at the World
Time Trial. Despite being 27 years old, she seems to be growing by leaps and
bounds. Alongside her, others like Yara Kastellijn or Puck Pieterse, a rider
who has not competed much on the road and who was expected to burst
more strongly after seeing her results in XCO and CX. Ceylin del Carmen
Alvarado also doesn't compete much on the road, the former world
champion in CX. They have big names, but above all cyclists who stand out
in their multidisciplinarity, such as Annemarie Worst, Sophie Wright, Inge
van der Heijden, Sanne Cant... Riders who perhaps have more results in the
mud than on the road, but we will have to watch them. It's great that this
team is organized in this way.
Human Powered Health
The women's version continues to move forward, unlike the men's section.
They have in Daria Pikulik and Audrey Cordon-Ragot their two stalwarts. It
is not a team from which we should expect the best. But it is a team that will
fight, that will be seen, with very veteran riders like Krista Doebel-Hickok,
coming from the EF, or Romy Kasper.
There are young riders who, why not, can end up shining like Henrietta
Christie, who climbs very well and defends very well against the clock, or
Linda Zanetti. A team that will be in the fight in every race in which it is
present.
Lidl Trek
It is one of the great teams on the women's scene. Gaia Realini, despite her
youth, has already demonstrated her great talent, how she climbs, how she
climbs the passes. The also Italian Elisa Longo-Borghini, one of the great
stars of international cycling, together with Elisa Balsamo make up this
entente of transalpine riders. A team of great talent where they are not the
only ones. Ellen van Dijk, one of the greats of the sport. Shirin van Anrooij,
21 years old, will be one of the stars of the future. There is Amanda Spratt,
Brodie Chapman or Lizzie Deignan, although we will see what face she
shows in 2024 after being the first champion of Paris-Roubaix Femmes. And
the list of big names does not stop there, with Clara Copponi, Lucinda
Brand, the Holmgren sisters, Fleur Moors, who comes from the world of
cyclo-cross... Interesting Izzy Sharp, and interesting this Lidl Trek.
Liv AlUla Jayco
Ruby Roseman-Gannon can be their reference, along with Mavi Garcia, who
continues to accumulate years of competition, with almost 40 years behind
her. The well-known Urška Žigart, Alexandra Manly, Letizia Paternoster, a
young rider to watch, are other names to keep in mind in a team that hopes
to continue growing little by little in the World Tour.
We must also see how others like Silke Smulders, Caroline Anderson and
Ella Wyllie evolve. A team that closes known names like Georgia Baker,
Teniel Campbell or Amber Pate.

Movistar Team
Movistar will feel the loss of Annemiek Van Vleuten, the great reference of
recent years. It incorporates the veteran British rider Claire Steels, the two
Spanish sisters Laura and Lucía Ruíz Pérez, and Olivia Baril, who will
probably be the best signing for 2024. A rider who arrives from UAE and
who is a very good mountain biker. The team will continue to focus on the
growth of Liane Lippert and Emma Norsgaard. Interesting to see how
Arlenis Sierra, Floortje Mackaij or what role Paula Patiño plays in this new
stage. It will also be worthwhile to see where the very young all-rounder Cat
Ferguson, who will arrive at Movistar in mid-season.
Roland Cycling Team
The Swiss team leaves behind the sponsorship of Israel but keeps the bulk
of its structure. Anna Kiesenhofer once again proves to be the rider with the
greatest ability to achieve results. Alongside her, Thi That Nguyen and Antri
Cristoforou guarantee points in minor and continental races. Elena
Hartmann and Tamara Dronova-Balabolina are also interesting riders.
Important for the team to confirm the growth of Maggie Coles-Lyster as well
as Sofia Collinelli. In addition to these two young riders, there is the arrival
of another rider who will continue to grow, the Italian Giorgia Vetorello.
Team dsm-firmenich PostNL
It incorporates three riders: the Italian sprinter Rachele Barbieri, the
British Josie Nelson, climber who together with Albi Smith will create a very
interesting duo. Both are just over 20 years old and promise to give
something to talk about.
Besides them, DSM builds its backbone from Juliette Labous, Pfeiffer
Georgi, very strong in the classics and to be followed, Charlotte Kool, who
continues to gain prominence after the departure of Wiebes, or the sprinter
Megan Jastrab, with riders who can be seen and accumulate points.
Team SD Worx
Only one addition to the strongest team in women's cycling: Femke Gerritse,
a 22-year-old Dutch rider. A good climber, she finished in the top ten in the
Three Valleys in the jersey of Parkhotel Valkenburg. SD Worx needs no
further introduction. It has the best riders in the world, and in fact, the four
best riders are in the squad: Demi Vollering, Lotte Kopecky, Lorena Wiebes
and Marlen Reusser. The truth is that the team is not reduced to the four of
them, but between youngsters like Niamh Fisher-Black, Mischa Bredewold,
Anna Shackley or Blanka Vas, and veterans like Christine Majerus. Elena
Cecchini, Barbara Guarischi, Femke Markus, Marie Schreiber, Lonneke
Uneken or the always interesting Chantal van den Broek-Blaak complete the
team. The strongest team that everyone wants to beat, and which has riders
to compete on all terrains.

Team Visma | Lease a Bike
The team from the Netherlands will be led for another season by Marianne
Vos, who at 36 years of age continues to accumulate seasons and to add to
her legend. Riejanne Markus, Anna Henderson and Fem van Empel are the
most interesting riders to watch next season, but not the only ones.
The block of young riders is wide, so keep an eye on: Lieke Nooijen, Nienke
Veenhoven, Rosita Reihnhout, Mijntje Geurts and Maud Oudeman. The bee
team also hopes to continue to grow in its female structure.
UAE Team ADQ
It is a team with four additions. The most interesting, that of Karlijn
Swinkels, who arrives from Jumbo-Visma and who happens to have a lot of
class and quality at the age of 25. Tereza Neumanova, Anastasia Carbonari
and Dominika Włodarczyk also arrive. A team that has very interesting
cyclists where two stand out: Silvia Persico and Chiara Consonni. If we
continue diving in their squad, we find more cyclists to highlight, such as
the Italians Erica Magnaldi, Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini and Sofia
Bertizzolo. From there, it is worth mentioning Elizabeth Holden, who has
been national champion in time trial, or Alena Amialiusik.
Uno-X Pro Cycling Team
It incorporates four riders, among them Katrine Aalerud, the Norwegian
who comes from Movistar and who won the Vuelta Andalucía this season.
Simone Boilard, the 23-year-old Canadian, fast, a good passer and one to
watch out for. Two more signings: Solbjørk Minke Anderson and Teuntje
Beekhuis, who comes from Jumbo-Visma. A team that has relevant names
like Anniina Ahtosalo, Anouska Koster, Maria Giulia Confalonieri, Amalie
Dideriksen, Susanne Andersen, Julie Norman Leth or Joscelin Lowden. The
latter is already 37 years old and barely competed in 2023. Let's hope to see
the Briton regain her regularity. Without having big stars, it is a team that
relies on the block and to remain offensive and continue to take steps
forward.

Bingoal WB
Bingoal WB
Bingoal is renewing up to a third of its roster and the Belgian team will make
up to eight signings. Among them, a lot of youth and a very interesting rider
like the Italian Davide Persico. He arrives from Colpack-Ballan in a jump
that comes late for what we are used to in our days, since he does it with 22
years. He is a more than interesting sprinter. Along with him, there are
more Italians like Giacomo Villa, who has a different profile, more of a
climber. Jelle Vermoote, from the Intermarché subsidiary, is a good and fast
sprinter. Also Louka Matthys, who without great results has been seen in
the French calendar. The block of young additions is closed by Tom
Portsmouth and Luca De Meester, the latter being a fast man.
In addition to all these young riders, there are two more established riders
like Sasha Weemaes, who is another fast rider and known in the peloton,
and Loic Vliegen, who joins the team after leaving Intermarché. He has
interesting results, for example, in the Tour of Wallonia. In addition to these
signings, the riders who remain in the squad are Marco Tizza, Alexander
Salby, a good sprinter, and Lennert Teugels. This Bingoal has improved a lot
with the signings.
Burgos-BH
Burgos-BH
Another team that has strengthened significantly is Burgos BH with up to
seven signings for 2024. Among them, some quite exotic, but of quite high
quality. Mongolian Jambaljamts Sainbayar comes to the team having
interesting results in the Asian calendar. It will be necessary to observe his
adaptation to European cycling. Next to him, two New Zealanders like
George Jackson and Aaron Gate. The latter, along with the Greek Georgios
Bouglas more veterans, but Jackson much younger and that last year
showed a lot of level in the sprints, we are looking forward to what is
capable of doing in Burgos this rocker, who has plenty of class to fight for
partial triumphs.
They close the team with other riders like Sergio Giovanni Chumil, Sinuhé
Fernández and David Delgado, all of them coming from Cortizo. All of them
are added to Eric Fagúndez, Victor Langellotti and José Manuel Díaz Gallego,
perhaps the most outstanding and complete cyclists. Along with that range
of cyclists in which are Ander Okamika, Jetse Bol, Mario Aparicio, Jesús
Ezquerra, Óscar Pelegrí, Alejandro Franco (I hope to see him at his true
level)... A team that wants to improve and continue to take flight in this
2024.
Caja Rural - Seguros RGA
Caja Rural - Seguros RGA
Caja Rural-Seguros RGA has made five signings. Among them, a very
interesting one as the Australian Sebastian Berwick, who arrives from Israel
with 24 years old and with great talent for the climbs. He was at the start of
the last Giro d'Italia and came close to a stage win. Along with him, four
additions from the subsidiary as Samuel Fernandez, Jaume Guardeño,
Guillermo Silva and Julen Arriola-Bengoa. The first two, with outstanding
results in the Spanish Cup, stand out. Guardeño also made his debut in the
Volta Portugal being 18th overall and leaving very good sensations in
Portuguese territory. The team keeps important cyclists such as Orluis
Aular, the most competitive rider in the Caja team.
In addition to the Venezuelan, Iuri Leitao, who continues to shine on the
track and more and more on the road, the Czech sprinter Daniel Babor,
David Gonzalez, Abel Balderstone, Jefferson Cepeda, or the Ethiopian Mulu
Hailemichael, a good climber who showed some things in the Tour of
Slovakia. An interesting team, with curious riders and that trusts to
continue the good path of the last years.
Corratec
Corratec
The Italians have given themselves a facelift. They have signed wellestablished
riders such as Kristian Sbaragli, sprinter Jakub Mareczko,
Briton Mark Stewart, Niccoló Bonifazio, and the most curious and
outstanding, Ukrainian Mark Padun. Not long ago this cyclist flew in the
Dauphiné. Four more names must be added to complete the quota of
signings and they will have team work: Alessandro Monaco, Valentin
Darbellay, Antoine Debons and Kyrylo Tsarenko. The latter is perhaps the
most curious, with outstanding results on the Italian calendar.
To these eight riders must be added the presence of Valerio Conti, the
team's most famous rider, Davide Baldaccini, the young Andrii Ponomar,
who made his debut at the age of 18 in the Giro d'Italia, Jan Stöckli, Etienne
van Empel... A team that has signed riders who have raised the previous
level.

Equipo Kern Pharma
Equipo Kern Pharma
Eight signings for the Navarrese team, with four of them coming from their
subsidiary (Galibier-Finisher): Jorge Gutiérrez, Hugo and Unai Aznar, and
Diego Uriarte. They are growing riders, interesting, especially the Aznar,
who will have to be followed closely. Gutiérrez proved to be a great climber
in the Giro del Aosta, while Uriarte defends himself well in sprints and time
trials. Marc Brustenga arrives, who takes a step back after three seasons
with Trek Segafredo in the World Tour. Unai Iríbar and Antonio Soto come
from Euskaltel Euskadi and could use a change. And also Miguel Ángel
Fernández, one of the least known Spanish sprinters but one of the most
talented to fight the stages.
What was already in the team is added to the additions: Pau Miquel, Pablo
Castrillo, Jordi López, José Félix Parra, Urko Berrade, Jon Agirre.... A very
young squad, with its most veteran rider in the figure of 29-year-old Soto
from Murcia. The next one is Martí Márquez, 27. They want to keep
growing, they do things very well and keep fighting wherever they go.
Equipo Kern Pharma
Equipo Kern Pharma
Incorporates a veteran rider, from the house, where he was a decade ago. A
fast, experienced cyclist, eager to give results to the orange team. He is not
the only veteran who arrives, as Víctor De la Parte, 37 years old, also signs
for the Basques. Nicolás Alustiza, Iker Mintegui and Unai Zubeldia come
from the reserve team, and two other cyclists who are not known to the
general public, but are more interesting than they seem. Xavier Cañellas,
who was earning an opportunity of this kind for a long time, and eager to
see what the former Electro Hyper Europe rider is capable of doing, and
Iker Bonillo, who at 20 years old and after his time with Bardiani, is eager to
show off his talent in the fight for partial victories.
The rest of the team maintains the block, with Jon Bou, Mikel Bizkarra,
Txomin Juaristi, Gotzón Martín, Andoni López de Abetxuko, who happens to
be one of the most interesting cyclists despite his health problems, Enekoitz
Azparren and Ibai Azurmendi, one of the collaborators of Le Puncheur to
whom we wish all the luck to continue growing as the good climber that he
is.
Israel - Premier Tech
Israel - Premier Tech
It is one of those teams with a World Tour budget and thus demonstrates
with its signings that economic power. Very consolidated riders in the
international scene as Pascal Ackermann and George Bennett, both eager to
return to the great level of yesteryear. Alongside them, Hugo Hoffstetter,
eager to find himself at home, Jake Stewart, from Groupama-FDJ, Michael
Schwartzmann, Lotto-Dstny's sprinter, and Ethan Vernon, perhaps one of
the most interesting, with a lot of talent for sprinting. Also Riley Sheehan,
who was already a stagiare and at 23 years old joins the team. He has a lot to
say, he already won the Paris-Tours and it is not a mirage: we must follow
this cyclist closely. Three more signings of the house: Nadav Raisberg, Oded
Kogut and Riley Pickrell.
The rest, the already known: Michael Woods, Corbin Strong, Derek Gee,
who flew in the last Giro d'Italia, Dylan Teuns, Simon Clarke, Stephen
Williams, Krists Neylands, Nick Schultz, Matthew Riccitello, a very young
rider who was seen in the Tour de l'Avenir that was very close to winning in
addition to a great Giro d'Italia, Jakob Fuglsang, Guillaume Boivin... Little
more to add. Yes, that the veteran Chris Froome is there, and we'll see if he
does something remarkable or not in 2024. A team with signings and World
Tour structure.
Lotto Dstny
Lotto Dstny
It does not make many changes and replaces five departures with five
additions. Among them, three very interesting riders like Lionel Taminiaux,
sprinter of Alpecin-Deceuninck who can find a place in Lotto and with a lot
of talent in the final straights, Jonas Gregaard, a quite complete and
consolidated rider coming from Uno-X, and Henri Vandenabeele, coming
from DSM and who had not shown what he showed as an amateur, being for
example second in the 2020 Giro behind Tom Pidcock, and who was on the
podium in the 2021 Giro, won by Juan Ayuso. Two more signings: Jenno
Berckmoes, who has been seen in the French calendar, and Logan Currie,
coming from Bolton and who is a good time trialist with a lot of track work
behind him.
The rest of the squad revolves around Arnaud De Lie, one of the great riders
of the international peloton. Very well escorted by others like Andreas
Kron, Milan Menten, Maxim Van Gils, Florian Vermeersch... who are riders
who have already proven to have the ability to fight for important victories.
Another second mid-range group with Jasper De Buyst, Brent Van Moer,
Cedric Beulens, Pascal Eenkhoorn, Victor Campenaerts, Eduardo
Sepúlveda... who are very capable riders. And there are also youngsters to
follow very closely, like Lennert Van Eetvelt, Jarne Van de Paar, Sylvain
Moniquet or Alec Segaert, who are riders who can already shine at the top
level and who have already done so at a certain level.

Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team
Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team
This team continues to grow with signings that establish this project among
the most important of the international scene. Two well known names in
Spain have joined the team: David De la Cruz and Xabier Mikel Azparren. It
is surprising to see how Xabier and Euskaltel separated their paths, but let's
hope that this change becomes a success for him. They are joined by other
established cyclists such as Giacomo Nizzolo (irregular rider, but with a lot
of ability to win), Frederik Frison, James Whelan, Rory Townsend,
Alessandro Fancellu, who arrives from Eolo-Kometa, and Jannik Steimle,
who already at 27 years old seems not to have finished breaking. He won the
Tour of Slovakia in 2020, we will see if he is able to recover that level.
What was already there was interesting, with Damien Howson, perhaps the
most complete rider there was in the team, Matteo Moschetti, Gianluca
Brambilla, Fabio Christen.... There are also young riders to watch closely,
such as Marcel Camprubi, Haylu Abreha and Niccolò Parisini and above all,
Walter Calzoni, perhaps the most interesting rider of the Swiss team if we
talk about the future.
TDT-Unibet Cycling Team
TDT-Unibet Cycling Team
TDT-Unibet is adding a lot of cyclists at once, with a total of 12 additions.
Adam Ťoupalík, a 27-year-old Czech, is a rider who is a good climber who
will have to be followed closely because he can surprise. By data, he has
shown his potential. Among the others, riders who may not have much of a
name yet, but who are chosen with a very good eye: Andreas Stokbro is a
fairly fast rider, Nicklas Amdi Pedersen is another rider fast in the finals and
with good results, Cedrik Bakke Christophersen is an extriatrack who is in
the process of reconversion and who is one of the best riders on the
Norwegian scene, the British Zeb Kyffin who has earned this contract by
force after an exceptional Tour of Britain, Sebastian Nielsen who is another
sprinter, Owen Geleijn who comes from Jumbo-Visma and who in the U23
world has performed well, Axel Huens who is another sprinter, Charles
Paige is a British climber coming from Bourg-en-Bresse, Jelle Johannink is
another experienced sprinter, Adrien Maire is a good French climber whom
we have seen in the Spanish Cup on more than one occasion, and Baptiste
Huyet.
Team that has signed well, that in social networks moves well and that
combines with other more established riders who were already in their
squad as sprinter Davide Bomboi, Martijn Budding, Tomáš Kopecký, the
giant Lander Loockx with dabbling in cyclo-cross .... A team that takes a
huge step forward in this 2024.
Team Flanders - Baloise
Team Flanders - Baloise
This Belgian junior team should be followed every year, as we know that
some of its riders will shine. This year they are bringing in six riders. One of
them comes from Soudal and had results, as Lars Craps. It is very strange
that he did not stay in the structure of a World Tour. He comes with a
teammate, sprinter Siebe Deweirdt, who also had good results. So it seems
that Flanders-Baloise have made good signings. We add Dylan
Vandenstorme, who comes from the Intermarché subsidiary, and another
rider who has been very visible in the Belgian U23 scene. Jasper Dejaegher,
his teammate at Circus and a good sprinter, also joins the team.
Also Victor Vercouillie, who is a time trialist coming from Bolton. Yentl
Vandevelde is another interesting sprinter with good results, although not
in top level events. In fact, many of us will remember him for his breakaway
victory in the first stage of the CLM Tour. The signings of this team are
exciting. We must add others like Kamiel Bonneu, who wants to continue to
grow, Lindsay De Vylder, Elias Maris, Aaron Van Poucke or Arno Claeys.
Bonneu may be the most talented of a team that has signed very well, he has
already shown it by raising his arms in races at a high level.

Team Novo Nordisk
Team Novo Nordisk
Novo Nordisk, the team that fights diabetes, is adding four cyclists. Three of
them belonged to the development team: Doriand Percrule, Nathan Smith
and Antonio Polga, who join the Italian Alessandro Perracchione. We will
have to observe the level of this team in 2024, although it will be present on
several stages, no doubt. It does not seem to finish breaking to find
victories. It has cyclists with names like Charles Planet, Andrea Peron, Peter
Kusztor or the Spanish globetrotter David Lozano, who has twelve years in
the structure.
One stands out above the rest, which is Matyáš Kopecký, who was fifth in
the last U23 World Championship, who is fast and rides well in the middle
mountain. He is the cyclist who shines with his own light in this squad, with
good family references in cycling. Keep an eye on him for the future.
Team Polti Kometa
Team Polti Kometa
This mythical sponsor returns. Some changes in the way of signing. Matteo
Fabbro arrives, the Bora climber who already wanted to lead at the age of 28
and who has achieved interesting results in the past, such as a 5th place in
Tirreno-Adriatico. He has a very high level uphill. Next to him, the signing
of Jhonatan Restrepo, 29 years old. In GW-Shimano he was missing and he is
a rider who has shown in Italy that he has more than enough level. British
rider Paul Doble has signed from the defunct Human Powered Health and is
also a good climber. Manuel Peñalver, a sprinter, has made a change of
direction and has joined the team from Burgos BH. They are joined by three
young riders such as Davide De Cassan, one of the most talented young
Italian riders, the Colombian Germán Darío Gómez, known for a picture
crying at the World Championships, but who has a lot of talent on the
slopes, and the Spaniard Francisco Muñoz, who comes up from the U23
team.
The reference of the team until this season, Lorenzo Fortunato, will be
absent, but others like Mirco Maestri, Davide Piganzoli, Davide Bais,
Giovanni Lonardi, like the Spanish Alex Martin, Erik Fetter, Diego Pablo
Sevilla... will remain. Among all of them, Piganzoli is perhaps the one we
can expect the most from.
TotalEnergies
TotalEnergies
Four signings for Total Energies for 2024. Two of them, Jordan Jegat and
Thomas Gachignard, have earned it by their results in the Coupe de France.
Both are climbers, although the latter is more versatile. Two riders from the
Vendée U as Lucas Boniface and Baptiste Vadic also join. Very interesting
the second, good in the fight against the clock and 21 years old.
Not bad what was already there: Mathieu Burgaudeau, Dries Van Gestel,
Sandy Dujardin, Sandy Dujardin, Valentin Ferron, Geoffrey Soupe, Steff
Cras, Jason Tesson, who had a bad 2023, Pierre Latour, veteran Alexis
Vuillermoz.... We'll see what their performance is in 2024. They incorporate
young cyclists. In fact, the youngest are the ones who have just arrived. It is
not a team that has signed renowned riders, but they hope to maintain the
level they had until today.

Tudor Pro Cycling Team
Tudor Pro Cycling Team
This Swiss team sponsored by Fabian Cancellara also wants to continue
growing. In that line they have designed the signing policy, with Matteo
Trentin, who at 34 years old arrives at Tudor to lead it in many areas. Also
noteworthy is the arrival of Alberto Dainese, the DSM sprinter, who arrives
with three more teammates. Riders like Marco Brenner, who if he has space
can do very well, Marius Mayrhofer, the sprinter who had a spectacular
start to the year in 2023, and Florian Stork.
Two more signings for the Swiss ranks are Michael Storer and Alexander
Krieger. We are looking forward to seeing them, especially the former. Let's
see if he has the level and strength to show what we have seen from him in
recent years. Alexander Kamp, Arvid De Kleijn, Yannis Voisard (very
interesting this Swiss), Maikel Zijlaard, Arthur Kluckers, Sébastien
Reichenbach, Joel Suter, Petr Kelemen, Simon Pellaud, Lucas Ericsson ....
An interesting team, which also has no big names, but cyclists to be seen
and to show growth. Among the young riders, Hannes Wilksch is the one we
are most looking forward to seeing grow in this team.
Uno-X Mobility
Uno-X Mobility
This team continues to grow, as evidenced by their signings for 2024. They
have acquired the services of Magnus Cort, who is one of the most talented
Danish cyclists. The rider who, sporting his mustache, is invincible when he
wants to be. A great signing, and he's not the only one. Andre Leknessund,
who at the age of 24 still has a lot of room for improvement, has also arrived.
Markus Hoelgaard is already 29 years old and it seems that he is not going to
be the rider we expected, but he is still a high level signing.
From there, new faces like Rasmus Bøgh Wallin and some youngsters like
Jonas Iversby Hvideberg, who is the 2020 U23 European champion,
Johannes Kulset, top ten in the Tour de l'Avenir and third Kulset in the
team, Sakarias Koller Løland, who won the Paris-Tour Espoirs last year, and
Frederik Bévort, a good time trialist, who won the U23 World Cup and is one
of the most talented Danish riders for the next few years. To all this we must
add a lot of talent, like the brothers Tobias and Anders Johannessen,
Alexander Kristoff, Søren Wærenskjold, Fredrik Dversnes, Erlend Blikra....
Riders of a high level, with a lot of talent. All Danish and Norwegian cyclists,
so they will continue to grow in a team that has a clear idea of how it wants
to do it.
VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè
VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè
This Italian team incorporates only four riders to its ranks who, in addition,
do not seem to be very well known. The Chilean Vicente Rojas, who arrives
from Supermercados Froiz, Mattia Pinazzi, from Arvedi and who had a good
race in the Vuelta a San Juan last year, Federico Biaggini, who should be
followed closely, coming from Zalf and who looks very good. He's fast and
has a good mid-mountain time. The last of the signings is Filippo Turconi,
from Bustese Olonia.
Just these additions for a team that keeps the essence, with riders like
Fiorelli, Zanoncello, Marcellusi, Gabburo, Covili... that allow them to be
present in various scenarios. Giulio Pellizzari, who is very reminiscent of his
namesake Ciccone, stands out among them all. He was seen in the Tour of
Turkey, was second in the Tour de l'Avenir and his name should be noted
because he is coming on strong. In the next Giro d'Italia he can shine with
his own light.
