Designed by Dr Arthur Spring, the course is set in 150 acres of<br />

unspoilt, rolling, quiet countryside. The breath-taking panoramic<br />

views, particularly from the 6th and 12th greens, together with the<br />

natural beauty of numerous on-course water features, combine<br />

to make this one of the most talked about courses in <strong>Clare</strong>. Each<br />

hole has a different challenge with strategically placed hazards,<br />

bunkers, lake and streams. Fairways are wide, and greens are<br />

proportionately placed.<br />

parkland course situated on the outskirts of Ennis Town. Its treelined<br />

fairways and tight greens present a considerable challenge,<br />

while its relatively even terrain of 5,724m makes it an ideal course<br />

for the holiday and society golfer.<br />

The club is noted for its hospitality, and the members and staff<br />

extend a warm welcome to visitors and societies. Ennis <strong>Golf</strong> Club<br />

Kilkee <strong>Golf</strong> Club is an 18-hole golf course on the east side of<br />

Kilkee Bay on the Wild Atlantic Way. The views are spectacular,<br />

with the first and second tees looking out on to the Atlantic Ocean<br />

and the third tee overlooking Chimney Bay from a clifftop view.<br />

The course presents a great challenge, particularly when the west<br />

wind blows. A six-hole practice area - open from 2023.<br />

You are assured of a very warm welcome in Kilkee, which is a<br />

popular seaside resort.<br />

Kilrush <strong>Golf</strong> Club is an 18-hole parkland golf course situated just<br />

outside the maritime town of Kilrush on the Wild Atlantic Way.<br />

Founded in 1934, it was redesigned in 1994 by Dr Arthur Spring.<br />

The clever use of natural terrain combined with water, trees and sand<br />

bunkers has resulted in a scenic course that is a pleasure to play.<br />

The 9th hole is its’ signature hole. Played from a plateau, this par three<br />

measures 154 meters (168 yards) to the green. It is guarded on three<br />

sides by water and on the fourth side by sand. It is often referred to as<br />

one of the friendliest clubs in Ireland.<br />

Established in 1892, the Lahinch Old Course has been described<br />

as ‘The St Andrews of Ireland’. The course looks out on the everchanging<br />

Atlantic Ocean and is subject to all her mood swings.<br />

It has an abundance of exceptional golf holes, where awesome<br />

links land has been utilised to create a succession of golf holes<br />

of the highest quality. It is regarded as one of the best and<br />

most enjoyable challenges anywhere in the golfing world. The<br />

legendary Old Tom Morris set the highest standards for the course.<br />

He was followed by celebrated architects Charles ‘Mo’ Gibson,<br />

Dr Alister MacKenzie and more recently, Dr Martin Hawtree.<br />

Situated opposite the Old Course, the Lahinch Castle Course,<br />

although a less formidable challenge, presents its own brand<br />

of toughness. It has cleverly positioned bunkers and water<br />

hazards to trap the unsuspecting golfer.<br />

It is a wonderful spot in which to enjoy 18-holes of golf and<br />

has added greatly to the enjoyment of visitors to Lahinch.<br />

Shannon’s 6,763-yard course, designed by John D Harris, is<br />

one of Ireland’s premier parkland courses. Fairways feature<br />

natural meadow grass planted on either side with spruce,<br />

evergreens and deciduous trees. The course presents a mixture<br />

of sand-based and traditional greens, maintained to the highest<br />

standard and protected by numerous sand bunkers to offer the<br />

final challenge to each hole. Water hazards feature on several<br />

holes. The par three 17th, the course’s signature hole, requires a<br />

dedicated golf shot over the Shannon Estuary.<br />

Opened in 1896 and one of Ireland’s oldest golf courses, Spanish<br />

Point is a mature and beautiful classic 9-hole links course on the<br />

Wild Atlantic Way. The course covers 5,162 yards (4,720 meters)<br />

for 18 holes. It has natural drainage and rarely closes, even in more<br />

inclement weather. The course overlooks the beautiful beach at<br />

Spanish Point. West Coast of Ireland Atlantic golfing conditions,<br />

which are changeable, add to the challenge for all golfers.<br />

most spectacular links overlooking the majestic Atlantic Ocean.<br />

This already spectacular championship golf links course was<br />

redesigned and reopened in 2016 by Dr Martin Hawtree and is a<br />

stunning site to behold. Eighteen majestic holes, many with ocean<br />

views, soft underfoot grass pathways lead to large tee boxes<br />

facing beautiful rolling fairways that approach gently contoured<br />

greens, which should not be underestimated.<br />
