An iron devil with a trident sticks out his fiery red tongue

at visitors to the ‘Teufelskanzel’ (devil’s pulpit). Farmer Bartl

is said to have once made a deal with the devil up here;

the devil offered him wealth and prosperity, in return for

which the hunter is said to have sold him his soul. Susanna

will take you from the hotel past the plague chapel until

you reach the viewing platform. We will then take in the

marvellous view before hiking back.

TIP: Palm Sunday procession

Palm Sunday is traditionally celebrated in Tyrol with

a procession. ‘Palmlatten’ (Palm slats) decorated with

palm branches and palm willows are carried through the

village to the church of St Catherine, to the delight of the

village youth. They are accompanied by the Musikkapelle

Längenfeld band. We meet at 9.00 at the retirement home

in Unterlängenfeld.

Hut hike to Nissl Alm 10.00 - 14.00

The village of Gries lies above Längenfeld, a bit beyond the

tourist hustle and bustle of the Ötztal Valley. Today’s hike

with our hiking guide Maria starts here. The hotel bus will

take you to Gries, where we will start off at a leisurely pace

and then make a firm ascent. Once we arrive at the hut, we

will stop for a bite to eat and allow Albertina, the landlady,

to spoil us with Tyrolean delicacies. Weather permitting, we

can enjoy our return journey on the toboggan.

Natural gem – Piburger See 10.00 - 14.30

Can a mountain lake be any more beautiful? Anyone trying

to describe the Piburger See lake will sooner or later end

up with the word ‘idyllic’. Nestled in a dip above Oetz, the

clear green water reflects the surrounding forests and the

mighty towering Acherkogel. Together with Maria, we will

drive to Habichen and hike across the Wellerbrücke bridge

to the lake. We will then stay a while by the lake, let the

atmosphere sink in and return after a refreshment stop.

Get to see the Stuibenfall, Tyrol’s highest waterfall, in a

guide, we will take the hotel bus to Umhausen and –

After a leisurely hike to the first platform, we can immerse

ourselves in the atmosphere of this gigantic natural

spectacle. We will then hike back to the starting point

where the hotel bus will be waiting for us. Back at the hotel,

we can enjoy a good schnapps together at the hotel bar.

Ski guiding with refreshment stop

Together with our ski guide Marcus, we will set off from

the hotel to Sölden by shuttle and enjoy the first skiing of

the day on the freshly groomed slope. We will then stop

at a rustic hut where we can spoil ourselves with Tyrolean

delicacies to fortify ourselves before tackling the downhill

slope to the valley.

The miraculous fibre – sheep’s wool

Follow the entire process of domestic sheep’s wool

processing in the ‘Schafwollzentrum’ (sheep’s wool centre).

From sheep-shearing to the making of regional products

such as woven carpets, slippers or decorative blankets,

you will learn all about the traditional handiwork of the

Regensburger Family. You will also get to feel the different

types of wool from the sheep of Ötztal Valleys farmers.

Wool and natural products can be purchased in the

centre’s shop.

Gentle snowfall 9.15 - 15.45

We will take you to the starting point in Längenfeld where

you will meet today’s hiking guide from the Ötztal Nature

Park. We will hike past the Winkelbergsee lake and ascend

on secluded paths through the snow-covered forest to the

Köfels high plateau. Around 9,000 years ago, a landslide

permanently changed the terrain here. A cosy stop at a

mountain hut awaits us towards the end of the hike, and an

opportunity to reflect on a beautiful experience.

sustainably strengthened.

soundscapes and groovy jazz expand the spectrum of the

pop duo ‘IVY 22’.

On the trail of James Bond 10.00 - 14.00

Visit the cinematic installation where everything revolves

around the world of James Bond. The exhibition is in an

architecturally impressive building at the summit of the

Gaislachkogel, at an altitude of over 3,000 metres. We will

take you to Sölden where you can explore the exhibition on

your own and perhaps enjoy a delicious drink on the sun

terrace. We will meet for the drive back at the valley station

at 13.30.

Alpaca hike in Sölden 13.00 - 15.30

There is something calming about alpacas – a short walk

with them is a great way to relax from the hectic pace of

everyday life. The animals’ charisma not only enchants

children; adults and older people will also quickly find a

connection to the animals with their calm, charming nature

and inquisitive behaviour. We will take you to the farm in

Sölden before hiking along the panorama trail (approx. 1

hour). After the hike, we will serve mulled wine and coffee/

tea with biscuits.

Motorbike Museum Hochgurgl 13.00 - 16.00

Europe’s highest-altitude motorbike museum can be

found on the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road at the end of

the Ötztal Valley. The Motorcycle Experience World tells

the story of the motorbike, from its origins in the late 19th

century to the present day. We will take you to Hochgurgl

where you can enjoy the museum’s exhibits at your leisure.

We will meet in front of the museum for the drive back at

15.30

Farst nature walk 10.00 - 13.00

Situated above the legendary Engelswand, Farst is one of

the oldest settlements in the valley. The ascent through

steep serpentines takes around 60 minutes. A stunning

panorama and warm hospitality in the snack station –

open all year round – are the reward for the ascent. Maria,

our hiking guide, will accompany you on this hike today.

GOOD TO KNOW:

A guided tour of the building for all newly arrived

guests takes place every day at 13.00. This way, you

can quickly familiarise yourself with the site and easily

find your way around. Meet at hotel reception.

Every day we invite you to our hotel lobby for something

sweet from our in-house pâtisserie from 15.00 to 16.30.

For dinner, we spoil you from 18.00 to 21:00 in our hotel

restaurant. We kindly ask that you wear appropriate

clothing. Enjoy an aperitif before dinner and cap off

your evening with live music at the hotel bar.

Sturdy mountain or hiking boots are compulsory for

hikes, and helmets are obligatory for ski guiding tours.

Hiking boots, rucksacks, drinking bottles and sticks

can be borrowed free of charge at hotel reception.

Helmets are available for a fee directly at the ski shop

in the basement.

Activities can change at short notice due to the

weather. We will let you know as early as possible. If

not explicitly stated otherwise, participation is for

ages 15 and above. You can learn about programme

changes every day in our in-house paper and at hotel

reception. Meeting place for programme items –

unless stated otherwise – is always at hotel reception.

We ask you to book appointments for massages,

treatments and the hairdresser in advance to fit them

into your day plan. You’ll find the SPA folder at hotel

reception.

KINDERBETREUUNG UND ANIMATION:

All children aged 3 and over (out of nappies) are looked

after.

Our good mood programmes runs from 12.00 to 17.45,

with alternating activities as per the plan.

We meet again for fun and games in the playroom of

the hotel from 19.00 to 21.00.

Registration for childcare and trips:

On the previous day at hotel reception by 19.00. We

require your name, the name of your child and your

number. Furthermore, we ask that you leave your

phone number so we can get in touch with you ‘just

in case’.

Meeting place for trips is the playroom. We ask that

you bring your children with weather-appropriate

clothing (sturdy, warm winter shoes, snowsuit / winter

jacket and trousers, gloves, hat).

A supervised alternative programme (playing,

painting, gymnastics etc.) takes place in the playroom

in the hotel in cases of bad weather.

All activities require a declaration of consent by

parents or legal guardians.

Parents are liable for their own children.

Participation at own risk.

Fare: There’s always something to drink

(water, cordial) available to kids for free

in the playroom of the hotel.

Cost: Unless stated otherwise,

childcare is free of charge.

SKIBUS

The ski bus runs every ten minutes from the hotel to

Sölden between 8.14 and 11.14 am every day. The stop is

right at the entrance to the thermal spa garage. The

buses return right back to the hotel from 14.00 onwards!

SKI RENTAL AND SKI SCHOOL

Of course, you need professional equipment for the

perfect ski holiday. You can get rental equipment from

current top brands – from skis to sticks and boots

to helmets, snowboards and toboggans – at our ski

rental. Cross-country skiing equipment can be rented

as well. Skiing lessons can also be booked in the shop.

E-BIKE RENTAL AND TOURS

E-bikes can be hired directly from the AQUA PLAZA

shop in the thermal bath.

Half-day rate: 09.00 - 13.00 or 14.00 - 18.00 EUR 34

2 hours tariff: 09.00 - 11.00, 11.00 - 13.00,

For each additional hour we charge EUR 5.

A deposit of EUR 50 is charged for the obligatory

bicycle helmet. A liability waiver must be signed upon

rental.

Depending on the weather, e-bike tours with our bike

guides can be offered at short notice. Please refer to

the daily house newspaper for details.
