Our Six Priorities
Actions taken in 2023
This was a significant year in our
climate impact activities.
Conserving Energy in our
Subsidiaries
2023 saw the implementation of
Solar Photovoltaic panels installed in
both our UK and Romanian plants. A
clear milestone for utilising renewable
energy in our drive to reduce energy
usage across the Teconnex group.
At capacity in the UK, we will be
provided with 417MWh of zeroemission
PV electricity production
per year with 88,000 kg/year CO2
avoided. Additionally, an estimated
reduction contribution of 50 tCO2
will be made by our European
facility.
Environmental Management
Our facility in India successfully
achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification
with continuous environmental
improvement its key focus.
Creating Green Spaces
A range of initiatives took place
across the group during 2023 to
help support green spaces, not least
in celebration of World Environment
Day. Employees participated in tree
planting at our India facility
Climate Action
We aim to conduct a series of positive climate
impacting initiatives to support and continue
the reduction of our carbon footprint.

Our Six Priorities
Actions taken in 2023
Our Energy and Emissions Progress
Our focus is on reducing our energy
consumption and energy waste,
reflected in our Scope 1 and Scope 2
emissions.
Teconnex recognises the critical
importance of adopting a
consumption-based approach in
order to address Scope 3 emissions
on an equitable basis, and to address
GHGs other than CO2. Scope 3 is a
targeted progression for 2024.
We do however recognise that it is
important that we focus our immediate
efforts on addressing the Scope 1
and Scope 2 emissions because we
can have a much more direct impact
on reducing these emissions.
By managing our business energy
use we aim to reduce our impact on
the environment.
→
There has been specific focus
this year on our metal and scrap
waste streams to establish
initiatives and systems intended
for the reduction of metal waste
throughout the group. This
global focus will enable detailed
monitoring and measuring of
waste data for future reduction
targets.
→
→
We are researching possibilities
of further use of recycling
and reuse of our packaging to
extend lifecycle of the products
from boxes, pallets and plastic
wrap.
Implementation of an effluent
recycling system within our
India facility was established:
this has constant recycling of
the water in use resulting in a
reduction in local water consumption
for processes.
Resource
We aim to impact our consumption of resources
and waste streams throughout the business.
Robust management of hazardous chemicals,
waste reduction initiatives and efficient production
can positively impact sustainability.

Engineering our Future
Environmental, Social, and Governance Report 25
Looking Ahead to 2024
and Beyond
Focus for the coming year
Importantly our first report sets out
our action plans for 2024/2025.
Having made huge strides during
2023, we want to maintain our
attention on our wider impact as a
business and will be reviewing our
ESG vision to integrate further into
our five-year business plan.
Key themes will be further embedded,
such as further energy reduction
initiatives across our group and
engaging and supporting our local
communities.
Looking ahead, we will continue to
focus our efforts on developing our
people and ensuring their safety in
the workplace.
Most significantly though, this year
will see us undertake a review of
our ESG strategy , as we recognise
that global context and priorities
shift, and we want to ensure that our
ESG goals reflect that and remain
relevant.
We are proud to sign off the work
we have achieved during 2023 and
the exciting opportunities that lay
ahead of us during 2024!
We have progressed well across our six priority
areas, enabling a positive steps to reduce our
carbon footprint and support our preparation
when reporting becomes mandatory.
