Donation Drive<br />

June 1 - July 31<br />

Drop off donations at The Homestead<br />

Did you know that organizations<br />

often struggle with donations during<br />

the summer months? DC Ranch<br />

Gives is collecting toiletries, hygiene<br />

products, and cleaning supplies to<br />

stock up the shelves for Homeward<br />

Bound. The goal is to collect 1,000<br />

items for families in need.<br />

Celebrate summer with fun free<br />

activities! These outdoor sessions<br />

feature a craft and snack activity.<br />

This event includes all things<br />

bubbles. Create bubble art, play with<br />

big and small bubbles and enjoy<br />

a variety of “bubble” snacks. The<br />

splash pad will be on to cool off. No<br />

RSVP required.<br />

Women’s Club: Happy Hour at<br />

Isabella’s Kitchen<br />

Thursday, June 13 | 5 to 7 p.m.<br />

Meet at Isabella’s Kitchen<br />

Ages 21+ | RSVP<br />

Mingle with other DC Ranch women<br />

and enjoy the beautiful view from<br />

Isabella’s Kitchen. Appetizers<br />

provided, drinks are the responsibility<br />

of each resident.<br />

Family Float Night<br />

Aquatic Center<br />

Enjoy an exclusive DC Ranch family<br />

night at the nearby McDowell<br />

Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center.<br />

Play games, jump off the high dive,<br />

ride the water slide or float on the<br />

lazy river. A selection of inflatable<br />

rafts will be available. Pizza, soda<br />

and water provided.<br />

Comedy Night: Mind Games<br />

Friday, June 14 | 6:30 to 8 p.m.<br />

Experience a night of comedy like<br />

no other. An expert mentalist will<br />

lead resident volunteers through<br />

a series of hilarious scenarios, all<br />

drawn from their subconscious<br />

minds. Light bites and beverages<br />

mingle with the performer.<br />

where knights on horseback clash<br />

in epic battles and the grandeur of<br />

the Middle Ages come to life. Ticket<br />

AUGUST<br />

Back to School Bounce<br />

Saturday, Aug. 10 | 2 to 3:30 p.m.<br />

The Homestead<br />

Ages 4 to 12 | $12<br />

Kids are invited to escape the heat<br />

and join neighbors for indoor fun,<br />

games, crafts and snacks. There will<br />

be multiple bounce houses and an<br />

obstacle course. Children must be<br />

4+ and must attend with a parent or<br />

guardian. No fee for adults.<br />

Women’s Club: Qigong<br />

Thursday, Aug. 8 | 5 to 6 p.m.<br />

Learn how to optimize the energies<br />

of body, mind and spirit through<br />

powerful ancient sequences of<br />

movement, meditation and breath.<br />

RESIDENT-LED CLUBS<br />

All Levels Yoga<br />

Monday and Wednesday | 9 to 10 a.m.<br />

The Homestead<br />

This class is suitable for all levels of yoga practice. The<br />

class moves at a slow to moderate pace and offers<br />

modifications so participants can customize the class to<br />

fit their specific needs. Teachers focus on alignment and<br />

breathing techniques to safely stretch and strengthen<br />

students. Please bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle.<br />

Yoga Basics<br />

Tuesday and Thursday | 9 to 10 a.m.<br />

The Homestead<br />

Designed for the beginner, learn how to incorporate yoga<br />

breathing techniques, body and spinal alignment and how<br />

to properly and safely work your body into different yoga<br />

postures including standing, sitting and balancing poses.<br />

This class focuses on stretching the larger muscle groups,<br />

helping improve flexibility and decreasing risk for injury.<br />

Please bring a yoga mat and water bottle.<br />

Pickleball Club<br />

Sunday | 7 to 10 a.m.<br />

Desert Camp Courts*<br />

Try your hand at a friendly game of Pickleball. All levels are<br />

welcome. Please bring a paddle if you have one.<br />

*Residents must access the courts via the path and trail<br />

system as parking is restricted in neighborhoods and on<br />

sidewalks, curbs and easements throughout DC Ranch.<br />

Start a Resident-Led Club<br />

Resident-Led Clubs provide a platform for residents to<br />

connect, collaborate and contribute to DC Ranch. Visit<br />

DCRanch.com to learn more about how to start and apply<br />

for a club.<br />

Strength and Balance<br />

Monday and Wednesday | 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.<br />

The Homestead<br />

This class is designed to work on strengthening and<br />

lengthening muscles. It also works on your core and<br />

balance to give an all-around workout. A portion of the<br />

class will be done seated on the mat. Light weights and<br />

resistance bands will also be used. This class is designed<br />

for all levels. Please bring a mat or towel and water bottle.<br />

To make registration easier for ongoing fitness programs,<br />

residents may purchase classes up to three months in<br />

advance. Cost varies per session. $10 drop in.<br />

Desert Camp Community Center is currently closed for<br />

construction. The project includes an expanded fitness<br />

center, dedicated fitness studio, enhanced resident<br />

gathering space, four pickleball courts and a walking<br />

path around the center.<br />

The playground, basketball, tennis and temporary<br />

pickleball courts are open. Residents must access the<br />

outdoor amenities via the path and trail system as<br />

parking is restricted in neighborhoods and on sidewalks,<br />

curbs and easements throughout DC Ranch. Temporary<br />

closures for court renovations will occur during the<br />

summer.<br />
