You can book your trip in 3 different ways!

Thanks for taking an interest in our 

service here at Highcliffe. 

We have been running day excursions for 

over 25 years, picking up through the 

local area from Poole to New Milton. 

Most of the destinations are tried & tested 

and we are always looking out for 

somewhere new and exciting! 

We trust you will notice the difference 

when travelling on board a Highcliffe 

Coach. We have luxury modern touring 

coaches with comfortable legroom, toilet 

facilities and modern safety features. Not 

forgetting our ‘top’ drivers! 

As always, a huge tribute to all our 

wonderful staff for their brilliant efforts. 

Most of the day excursions allow for 

around 4 1/2 hours at the destination 

although this does vary slightly on some 

trips. Please check the timings when 

booking. 

We are a family business who have been 

serving the local area for over 25 years - 

since 1996. Your enjoyment is our driving 

motivation!

PLEASE NOTE - IF YOU CANCEL YOUR TRIP YOU WILL BE LIABLE FOR CANCELLATION CHARGES AS SET OUT BELOW. 

We will make every effort to carry out the programme and itineraries as advertised but must reserve the right to 

cancel any excursion or alter routes, timings or stopping places without prior notice due to circumstances beyond 

our control. We will not be responsible for any additional costs you may incur if trips do not operate or are delayed. 

We reserve the right, notwithstanding any other provision of these terms and conditions, to cancel an individual 

booking (subject to any refund being made) or refuse to accept a booking, at our absolute discretion.

If we are forced to cancel any excursion, a full refund will be made. In the event of a customer cancelling we shall 

apply charges in line with the scale below. Tickets cannot be transferred to future trips.

We regularly upgrade our fleet of modern 

coaches to offer a high level of comfort and 

incorporate new safety features. Our touring 

coaches are specified to provide generous 

legroom making for a comfortable journey. Air 

conditioning is fitted throughout and all vehicles 

also have toilet facilities, comfortable reclining 

seats, armrests, tinted glass and seat belts.

Mottisfont Estate & Garden - National Trust 

Mottisfont, near Romsey is a lovely country home surrounded by a large estate and parkland. 

Maud Russell made Mottisfont her home in the 1930s, bringing artists here to relax and work – 

the extraordinary drawing-room was painted by artist Rex Whistler. Enjoy a stroll along the 

sparkling River Test which runs through the estate and the colours of the season. The gardens 

are particularly renowned for their Rose collection. Plenty of time to explore plus there is an 

excellent cafe/restaurant or you may like to picnic in the grounds. Price includes entrance.

Tue 2nd 

Seaton Tramway & Jurassic Coast 

Situated at the gateway to the Jurassic Coast of Devon, Seaton is a small coastal town. Free time to take a look around the independent gift and craft shops, 

have a stroll along the level seafront and find somewhere for lunch. In the afternoon, meet up at the Seaton Tramway Station where we have included a 

return journey on this unique attraction. It is a 30 minute ride on the tram which travels up the beautiful River Axe estuary to Colyton Station. Step back in 

time at this historic station, sympathetically restored and time for a cup of tea and a look around the souvenir shop before reboarding the tram for the 

return journey. A great day out. Price includes return tram fare. Only £35.00 

Thu 4th & Fri 5th July RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival 

Set in the spectacular grounds of Hampton Court Palace, the world’s largest annual flower show is a must see for passionate gardeners and “grow your 

own” enthusiasts. The festival brings a celebration of summer colour, gardening inspiration and beautiful blooms to one of the UK’s most iconic palaces. 

Relax by Hampton Court’s famed Long Water with a picnic, enjoy expert talks in the theatres and admire a huge variety of plants. Top designers line up 

each year to present their show-stopping gardens to the world. The Floral Marquee and extensive Plant Village are both bursting with stunning displays and 

expert growers, ready to share their tips for making the most out of your summer garden. Enjoy a picnic in the grounds or head for the food market for a

Stourhead House & Gardens - Wiltshire - National Trust 

One of the best National Trust destinations in the South of England. The celebrated 18th Century 

landscaped gardens of Stourhead are world famous; your first sight of the lake will leave you 

amazed. There are stunning views around the grounds with gothic temples, monuments, rare 

plants and a criss-cross of sloping walkways surrounding the lake. The stunning Palladian 

Mansion, once the family home of the Hoares, is full of Georgian treasures, Chippendale

Mapperton House & Gardens, Dorset 

Set in the very heart of Dorset close to Beaminster and surrounded by lush countryside stands this striking sandstone Manor House - home to the Earl and

Lyme Regis 

The picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis on the border of Dorset and Devon is situated on the world-famous Jurassic Coast. A lovely day out offering 

plenty to explore among the narrow streets with a lovely selection of shops and tempting tearooms. Wonderful long seafront lined with a selection of cafes 

and eateries offering temptations for all! The beautiful bay leads around to the iconic 13th-century stone Cobb - famously featured in films and television - 

from The French Lieutenant's Woman right up to the recent feature film, Wonka. Above the 

beach take the zig zag path through the cliffside gardens - great place to relax on a bench and

Weald & Downland Living Museum - Home of The Repair Shop 

Beautifully situated in the lovely West Sussex countryside this superb open air museum includes 

rescued traditional rural buildings and tells the stories of the people who lived and worked in 

them. The site has recently shot to prominence as the sit of the hit BBC series - The Repair Shop. 

The 40-acre site has 50 buildings to explore and many are exhibit houses, furnished to recreate 

historic domestic interiors. Visit the lovely café restaurant for lunch. Price includes entrance.

Osborne House - Isle of Wight (EH) 

Queen Victoria's seaside holiday home is a very popular destination with our customers. A 

fascinating rare glimpse in to Royal life in the 19th Century, the house has an extravagant interior 

and there are extensive gardens offering views across the Solent. Take an intimate glimpse into 

Queen Victoria's family life as you tour the nursery and private rooms of Victoria and Albert.

Kennet & Avon Canal Trip

board the superb M V Barbara McLellan broad beam narrowboat and enjoy the wildlife and countryside on our 2 1/2 hour cruise along tranquil stretches of

SS Shieldhall - Steam to the Solent and see cruise ships depart - Southampton

Bombay Sapphire Distillery Tour + Winchester 

Come along for a tour of this remarkable site at Laverstoke in Hampshire. After stopping in 

Winchester, with time to explore and enjoy an early lunch, we arrive at the distillery around 

1.00pm. Bombay Sapphire is one of the worlds premium Gins with its production distillery 

beautifully situated in an historic old Mill on the River Test. It now offers a fascinating tour of the 

facility where you can discover the exotic botanicals grown in the striking Glasshouses, see the 

huge copper infusion Stills and explore the history of the drink. The experience culminates with

Montacute House - National Trust 

This magnificent Elizabethan Mansion House located in South Somerset is constructed in local 

Ham stone and is surrounded by beautiful parkland and gardens. Built in the late 16th century, 

the beautiful formal gardens are perfect for a stroll and include a collection of roses, mixed 

borders and famous 'wobbly' topiary yew hedges. The ground floor of the house is open with lovely wood paneling to discover and the highly decorative

The vast late 17th-century mansion is set in a beautiful 283-hectare (700-acre) deer park, landscaped by 'Capability' Brown and immortalised in Turner's

Swanage Railway & The Purbecks 

A treat for all ages and a very welcome return to our programme!! We board the beautifully 

restored Swanage Railway at Norden with views of Corfe Castle, for a nostalgic steam train ride 

through the beautiful Purbecks to Swanage. Enjoy free time in this unique, attractive seaside 

resort. Plenty of shops to explore - find somewhere nice for lunch or take a picnic to have down 

on the beach or along the front. Head back to Swanage Station to board the train back to

Devon & Dorset Carvery + Sidmouth 

Lovely day out to enjoy the beautiful scenery of West Dorset and East Devon before stopping at the excellent Hare & Hounds Pub near Sidmouth. This 

traditional country pub has wooden beams and log fires with lovely views down to Sidmouth and the sea. We have included a delicious carvery with an 

extensive choice of fresh vegetables, gravy and extras. Pudding is available on the day for an additional cost. Afterwards we shall head in to Sidmouth with

Hamble River Cruise with Coffee, Cake & Free Time! 

An excellent local day out to Southampton and a break from the norm! We head straight to Ocean Village in Southampton and board one of the excellent 

Blue Funnel pleasure boats for a lovely 2 hour cruise along Southampton Water. Turning up the beautiful Hamble River with views of the yachting marina 

made famous by the 80s TV show, 'Howard's Way' - remember that? - big hair and shoulder 

pads. During your time on board we have included a nice cup of coffee or tea and chef's cake! A

West Bay & The Donkey Sanctuary 

Enjoy beautiful views of the countryside on route to the charming, small coastal resort of West 

Bay. Once known as Bridport Harbour, the town has two piers and is lined with old cottages, 

characterful wooden kiosks, an early 19th-centuary customs house and until the mid-19th 

century, exported Bridport’s ropes and nets. We continue for a 2 1/4 hour visit to the popular 

Donkey Sanctuary nearby. Set in the tranquil East Devon countryside, this working farm is home 

to hundreds of donkeys, mules and hinnies. The new visitor complex includes the attractive 

Kitchen Restaurant, where you can look out over the donkeys paddocks down to the sea plus a

Isle of Wight Tour with local guide 

ONE OF OUR MOST POPULAR DAYS. After joining the ferry from Lymington we will be joined by 

our fantastic local guide for a tour of the Island – we try to see as much as possible during the day. The island boasts 60 miles of spectacular coastline and 

beautiful countryside. We take in many of the best sights and usually include Newport, Sandown, Godshill, Shanklin, Ventnor, Freshwater and Alum Bay.

Portsmouth - Gunwharf Quays & Dockyard 

Enjoy a great day out to Portsmouth. We drop close to the excellent Gunwharf Quays shopping and leisure development and the Historic Dockyard. 

Located on the harbour, Gunwharf is site of the impressive Spinnaker Tower and over 95 shopping outlets and 30 cafes and restaurants. Shops include Next 

Clearance, Animal, Fred Perry, Barbour, Levis, Karen Millen and many more. Boat trips also available from the marina. Alternatively, you can spend your day 

in the superb Historic Dockyard which traces the history of the Royal Navy over the ages. Attractions include Nelson’s HMS Victory, Henry VIII’s Mary Rose,

Come along for a lovely day out to Kew Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Home to the

views from the spectacular Rhizotron and Xstrata walkway. With magnificent glasshouses and beautifully landscaped gardens, this once royal residence 

represents 250 years of historical gardens. You may like to enjoy a guided tour around the Gardens on the Kew Explorer land train and learn about Kew's

Windsor River Cruise with delicious Ploughman's lunch OR Windsor Only 

After leaving Windsor Promenade at 11.00am we enjoy excellent views of Windsor Castle and Eton College. After passing Windsor racecourse, the boat 

goes through Boveney Lock and passes Sutherland Grange, The Willows and Bray Film Studios. It then heads towards Oakley Court, Queen's Eyot and 

Monkey Island where the boat turns for the journey back to Windsor arriving at 1.00pm. While you take in the beautiful scenery of the Royal River Thames,

The Cotswolds is one of the most beautiful and quintessentially 'English' areas of the country

Seaton Tramway & Jurassic Coast 

Situated at the gateway to the Jurassic Coast of Devon, Seaton is a small coastal town. Free time 

to take a look around the independent gift and craft shops, have a stroll along the level seafront 

and find somewhere for lunch. In the afternoon, meet up at the Seaton Tramway Station where 

we have included a return journey on this unique attraction. It is a 30 minute ride on the tram 

which travels up the beautiful River Axe estuary to Colyton Station. Step back in time at this 

historic station, sympathetically restored and time for a cup of tea and a look around the 

souvenir shop before reboarding the tram for the return journey. A great day out.

For 10 weeks in the Summer months, the magnificent London residence of His Majesty The King 

is opened to the public. The State Rooms are used extensively by The King and members of the

**NEW** Henley & Thames River Cruise 

Exciting NEW day out for 2024! We start the day heading to Reading where we board our excellent private river boat for a 90 minute cruise through Wind 

in The Willows country! The cruise travels out in to open country, following the Thames upstream, you will see plenty of river wildlife, islands and views of 

the Berkshire Downs. Our boat is the handsome Caversham Lady which had an extensive re-fit in 2016 to bring her up to modern high standards of comfort

Horse Drawn Canal Boat & Marlborough 

Step back in time with us, as we head first to one of our favourite stopping places, Marlborough. This archetypal English Market town has that 'film 

location' quality and is a great spot to stroll around and enjoy a nice lunch. In the afternoon we head to nearby Kintbury and board the 'Kennet Valley' 

horse drawn barge for a 2 ½ hour cruise along the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. This wide beam passenger boat was purpose built for carrying 

passengers and is powered solely by the towing action of the horse making for a tranquil journey. Facilities onboard include a well stocked bar serving tea,

Oxfordshire Cotswolds with extensive grounds, Buscot Park is the family home of Lord

variety of attractions - from formal gardens to woodlands. There are plenty of lovely viewpoints

Step back into summer 1940 at the Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show and see historic Duxford 

come to life. In the air, on the ground, and even in the clothes you wear! Presented by Imperial 

War Museums, discover the sights, sounds and noises of Spitfires, Hurricanes and more in flight 

plus music and dance from the era, living history and family-friendly activities. A full 2024 flying
