SCAN FOR MORE INFO A WALK ON ARRENÆS - A UNIQUE NATURE EXPERIENCE The trip starts at the square at the end of Kappelhøjvej in Frederiksværk: Keep right, where the road enters Sonnerup Skov, drive along the edge of the forest towards the lake, and park where the small side road ends at the picnic area. Head towards Arresø, where you'll encounter signs for Halsninoen; the hiking route, which you'll follow for the next 3 km. The route follows the edge of the forest and the lakeshore past the campfire hut Sonnerup Skov Grillplads and the jetty. There is also a bridge with a beautiful view over the lake. Swimming in the lake is not allowed. Continue into Sonnerup Skov. At the settlement, follow the Halsninoen signs to the right. Soon it goes uphill, and suddenly the signs point to the right towards the beautiful view over Arresø; the Sonneruphøjene on Dragebjerg. Continue uphill across the slope and over the green areas. Cows are often present; they are friendly, but if you have a dog, it should be on a leash. Follow the Halsninoen signs to the gravel road Ravnsbakkevej. You can recognize the place by the table-bench set at the roadside. Here you leave Halsninoen. Turn left and follow Ravnsbakkevej. You now have another great view over the northern part of Arresø. At the settlement, keep left and walk around the farm on the outer edge. The road turns into a path, and you're briefly back on the same route as on the outward journey. At the forest ranger's house, don't turn towards the lake but continue straight through the forest on Kappelhøjvej. Sonnerup Skov ends at the riding arenas, and here you turn left, towards the lake, and you'll immediately reach the small parking lot.
