Rosscapili
Rosscapili is renowned in the art world as a multi media
artist. He instinctively translates his emotions, imagination,
and narratives using mediums such as painting, sculpture,
photography, and digital art.
His artistic journey gained significant recognition at the
early age of 14 when he secured 2nd Place at the 1974
Rotary of Manila Art Competition. Since then, he has
amassed a string of 59 awards and distinctions, including
the esteemed Juror’s Choice Award at the Philip Morris
Asean Arts Awards (1994), the Pamana Ng Lahi Award in
San Francisco, USA (2001), the PATA Gold Award for Travel
Photo Journalism (2008), and the Ani ng Dangal NCCA
Award (2009).
Predominantly
inspired by his love
for music and nature,
his art creates
a captivating fusion
of the two.
His works have been exhibited worldwide, with over 40
group exhibits in Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Mongolia,
Indonesia, Singapore and Korea, and over 30 solo
exhibits held in Manila, the USA, and Paris. Predominantly
inspired by his love for music and nature, his art creates a
captivating fusion of the two.
Rosscapili’s works are widely collected and commissioned
both locally and internationally such as the Shangri-
La Hotel Manila, Pearl Rotana Hotel AbuDhabi UAE,
Waterfront Hotel and Casino Cebu, Solaire Resort Hotel
and Casino, Chanel Dubai, National Panasonic, Citibank,
Eveready Ph, Philippine Airlines to name a few and are
featured in various coffee table books, including “Filipino
Artists in their Studios,” “21st Century Filipino Artists,”
“Art Collectors GuideBook,” “Art Philippines,” and the
recently launched “Solaire: The Art + Design Collection.”
A Rosscapili Coffee Table Book is on the horizon, targeted
for launch on October 2026.

Interchange is a visual exchange
featuring two prominent artists,
Rosscapili and Rico Lascano. The art
exhibit presents their shared reflections
on the shifting dynamics of nature and
the enduring sense of wonder it evokes.
Rosscapili’s works celebrate the
captivating interplay of nature and
music. His passion for music infuses
his brushstrokes, capturing the rhythm
of rain and wind, and the vibrant
crescendo of colors in bloom.
The patterns, vibrations, and melodic
tones of nature have long inspired
music, with Vivaldi’s revered “Four
Seasons,” for example, encapsulating
this synergy. As an artist, Rosscapili
explores and offers a visual feast of this
profound connection. His signature
metallic orb hovers on his canvas,
symbolizing the presence of the sun
and moon overseeing this eternal and
universal harmony.
Rico Lascano is renowned for his Zenthemed
artistry. He perceives nature
as serene and tranquil, inviting internal
reflection and deep contemplation. In
this exhibit, water, sky, and wind are
depicted with a renewed and intimate
vision – quiet, still, and misty, devoid of
color yet suffused with light.
Lascano’s works beckon the viewer
into a meditative repose, with spare
compositions, muted layering of hues,
and delicate brushstrokes exemplifying
his intuitive interpretation that nature is
inherently spiritual.
Nature captivates. Nature heals. Nature
breathes life.
In this exhibit, you will behold and
experience the interchange of
emotions that nature evokes. As John
Muir beautifully expressed, “In every
walk with nature, one receives far more
than he seeks.”

Rico Lascano
His body of work
captures the essence
of Zen Buddhism,
fostering calm and
contemplation
among viewers.
Rico Lascano obtained his BFA major in Visual
Communication from the University of the Philippines.
His works have been exhibited at prestigious venues
such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines,
The Metropolitan Museum of Manila, as well as in
international locations including Singapore, Hong
Kong, Vancouver, New York, and Berlin.
His body of work captures the essence of Zen
Buddhism, fostering calm and contemplation among
viewers.
Lascano’s paintings are included in the permanent
collections of esteemed institutions such as the Central
Bank of the Philippines, The Metropolitan Museum of
Manila, The Mastercard International Art Collection,
Bank of China, as well as in renowned hotels and
residences like The Shangri-la Hotels and Residences,
Raffles Hotels, City of Dreams, Ascott, and Solaire
Hotels and Casinos. Notably, his private collectors
include Claude-Michel Schönberg of Les Misérables
and Miss Saigon fame.
His works are also featured in prominent art books
such as The Best of World Art, Philippine Art and
Beyond, The Philippines: Impressions on Continuity,
and A Guide to Art Collecting.
Lascano is represented by Momentous Art Gallery in
Singapore and the Ronewa Art Projects in Berlin. He
currently serves as a professor at the University of the
Philippines College of Fine Arts.
