It has been a bit of a mixed bag on the track with some good<br />
performances and some forgetful ones. We’re hopeful with the<br />
quality of the horses returning to the races iminently, we will<br />
see the fruits of the Owners’ patience and our Colours back in<br />
the City Winner’s Stall soon.<br />
In this issue we launch our new Owner Profile section. It’s a bit<br />
of fun and gives you a chance to get to know who you might be<br />

The horses are our lifeblood and the Owners are our oxygen, so we thought it<br />
would be a great idea to introduce to you some of the people who make<br />
BlueBlood’s the success it has become to date.<br />

How long have you been an Owner with Blueblood Thoroughbreds (<strong>BBT</strong>)?<br />
12 years<br />
What got you interested in racing and then ownership?<br />
I was in a work betting syndicate and a lady named Helen Pacey who raced and bred horses said<br />
“why don’t you buy a share in race horse?” and so it started.<br />
How many horses are you involved in currently with <strong>BBT</strong>?<br />
Currently have shares in 12 horses.<br />
What do u look for when you buy into a horse?<br />
Helen taught me the Dam is the cake and the stallion puts the icing on it so I check the pedigree<br />
and definitely the Dam side for her foals etc<br />
Which horses that you've owned with <strong>BBT</strong> have given you the biggest thrill?<br />
We have had so many winners with <strong>BBT</strong> but Secret Agenda gave us our first stakes win and our<br />
first Group 1 winner Seabrook was another I have to mention with Carols help I was able to have<br />
my name suggestion approved she was our first Golden Slipper runner and was unlucky not to<br />
finish better then fifth 3 weeks later she won the Champagne Group 1 and we were there for the<br />
race a day we will never for get.<br />
Which race would you most love to win and why?<br />
I would say to win the Golden Slipper with a colt that would be life changing<br />

Who is your favourite Trainer?<br />
Can`t go past Mick Price one of the most honest trainers I have ever met straight to<br />
the point if Mick says limited ability and needs to show something then it tells me<br />
time to move the horse on.<br />
Which jockey would you want on every one of your horses?<br />
Damien Oliver and Darren Beadmen for giving us our first ever win cant go past<br />
either.<br />
How do you celebrate a nice win by one of your horses?<br />
Happy to go out for a meal and a few drinks.<br />
Are you a punter and if yes do you have a best win story and a hard luck<br />
story?<br />
Only a small punter but best win would be a 7 leg multi had going and WINX was<br />
the 7th leg won 4k. Unluckest was 3 x Multi big prices and needed the last leg to<br />
win $10990 for a $50 dollar bet It got beat in a photo.<br />
Do you prefer when your horses win by leading or finishing hard over top?<br />
My biggest thrills have been when they finish fast over the top.<br />
Your favourite Racecourse?<br />
Randwick.<br />
What’s the funniest thing you have ever seen in racing?<br />
Cant remember the race or horse but on replay one horse biting the other horse as<br />
they hit the finish line.<br />
Who is your favourite Sire?<br />
Not a Single Doubt and Hinchinbrook for our Group 1 winners. Currently I like<br />
Tassort could be a nice Stallion for a small service fee.<br />
Can you remember your first winner with <strong>BBT</strong>?<br />
Encostanati at Gosford on a Sunday with the late Nathan Berry rode him.<br />
Is there anything you would change about horse racing?<br />
I would like to see the racing industry get back to where it was with all the states<br />
etc under the same banner.<br />
What is the best part about being an Owner with <strong>BBT</strong>?<br />
It’s a family run business - great updates, always able to have a stable or spelling<br />
visits, shares at prices for everyone and of course plenty of winners!<br />
