Fourth of July
in Groveport
The city of Groveport will celebrate
Independence Day on July 3 and July 4.
Activities along Wirt Road on July 3
include: live music performances by Mama
Drama at 5 p.m., Devin Henry at 6:30 p.m.,
and Crush Bon Jovi Experience at 8 p.m.;
food trucks; family activities; and fireworks
at dusk accompanied by music on radio frequency
88.3.
Activities on July 4 include:
•Red, White, and Kids Parade begins at
10:30 a.m. Staging at 10 a.m. on the
Groveport Elementary playground and
parking at Middle School Central. Parade
starts at 751 Main St., goes west on Main
Street and south on Oak Street to Crooked
Alley KidSpace, 630 Wirt Road.
•Main Fourth of July Parade begins at
11 a.m. Staging at the Groveport
Recreation Center, 7370 Groveport Road,
at 8 a.m. Parade starts at Richardson Road
and goes west on Main Street, then north
on Hendron Road, and ending at
Glendening Elementary.

Famous Fortress Fireworks
Obetz will celebrate Independence Day
with the Famous Fortress Fireworks on
July 3. From 6-10 p.m. there will be food
trucks, inflatables, and more. The fireworks
begin at 9:50 p.m. Fortress Obetz is
located at 2015 Recreation Trail, Obetz.
Zucchinifest: A weekend
musical extravaganza
The 2024 Obetz Zucchinifest will be held
Aug. 30 from 5-11 p.m.; Aug. 31 from 11
a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sept. 1 from 11 a.m. to 11
p.m.; and Sept. 2 from noon to 6 p.m. at
Fortress Obetz, 2015 Recreation Trail,
Obetz.
This year’s event features a star-studded
musical line-up includes:
•Rewind to the ‘90s: Dru Hill will headline
the Aug. 31 entertainment, bringing
their classic hits and energy to Fortress
Obetz. Joining them are legends from the
decade like Digital Underground, C&C
Music Factory, and the Tag Team.
•Country Music Under the Stars: On
Sept. 1 Gary Allan will take the stage as
the headline act. Parmalee will perform at
7 p.m. followed by Gary Allan at 8:30 p.m.

Fortress Friday Flicks
Fortress Friday Flicks, held at 2015
Recreation Trail, Obetz, recreates the
drive-in movie experience and promises
evenings filled with family-friendly entertainment
under the stars from June to
August.
Admission to Fortress Friday Flicks is
free.
Fortress Friday Flicks features three
evenings of movie magic. Each event begins
at 8 p.m. The movie line up:
•June 14: “Little Giants” — A heartwarming
classic.
•July 12: “Wonka” — Take a magical
journey through Willy Wonka’s chocolate
factory, filled with wonder, whimsy, and
delicious surprises.
•Aug. 2: “Migration” — Embark on an
adventure through space and time as a
young girl discovers her true destiny. It’s a
tale of courage, discovery, and the power of
dreams.
CW’s Music in the Park
Canal Winchester’s Music in the Park is
a free summer concert series held the third
Friday of the month from 6-9 p.m. at
Stradley Park, 30 S. High St., through
September weather permitting.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a
lawn chair and picnic, purchase food from
one of the food trucks on site, or carry-out
from one of the downtown restaurants.
Visitors can purchase alcoholic beverages
from participating establishments to enjoy
within the Designated Outdoor
Refreshment Area (DORA) boundaries.

website.
No outside alcohol is permitted within
the park.
Come on June 21 for Pet Palooza and
live music from The Treble Catz. Then on
July 19, the Gas Pump Jockeys return for a
record 17th season for the annual Cruise-
In Car Show, hosted by C-Town Cruisers.
The End of Summer Bash on Aug. 16 features
music by Creek Don’t Rise then close
out the season on Sept. 20 with a Fall Fest.
