LAMINATIONS
We process electrical sheets with economic ne laser cutting with minimal
thermal impact. Thanks to modern ne laser cutting centers, we achieve almost
burr-free cuts. The precision of our lasers avoids rework and increases the
ef ciency of the entire manufacturing process.

APPLICATION AREAS
BUSBARS
We cut busbars according to material thickness with pulsed ber lasers or micro
water jets, achieving results similar to those busbars later punched in series.
The gentle, cold separation process is ideal for temperature-sensitive materials,
such as 5 mm thin busbars made of pure copper. This way, you get distortionfree
and precisely cut busbars without thermal impact.
Exact results: The cold micro water jet allows for edge roughness of up to 0.8 Ra µm
on the surfaces of your copper busbars.
Complete components: On CNC machining centers and swivel bending machines,
we take care of forming and machining your busbars. We deliver ready for installation,
with coating on request.
Short distances: HAILTEC is centrally located in southern Germany and manufactures
busbars quickly and precisely to your speci cations.

APPLICATION AREAS
CELL CONTACT SYSTEMS
We produce your cell connectors for cell contact systems of battery modules
ready for installation. With ne laser cutting, hardly any heat and thus tension
enters the thin material cuts made of aluminum or copper, and the parts retain
their shape. The burr-free cut with pulsed laser energy ensures this.
Exact tolerances: Automated ne laser cutting guarantees smallest web widths
and 1/100 mm tolerance. Precise processes minimize the risk of power losses due
to surface damage at critical welding and contact points.
Including forming: For the production of cell contact systems, we combine laser
cutting techniques with precise bending processes.
Material variety: For good conductivity, we often process aluminum, pure
aluminum, copper, or Hilumin.

Challenge:
An automotive supplier wanted to develop a lighter and more ef cient electric
motor. HAILTEC’s requirements were to avoid damaging the backlack on extremely
thin webs during laser cutting to maintain the magnetic and insulating properties
of the stator and rotor laminations made from an NO20 electrical sheet and
minimize energy losses.
Solution:
HAILTEC’s fine laser cutting technology, with its short pulses, proved to be a
“game changer.” The application of pulsed and specially developed laser sources
reduces heat input. The result is an almost burr-free cut and no temper color on
the component.
Result:
Thinner webs mean less weight and space requirements. Thus, the improved
quality of the cut image by HAILTEC led to a reduced installation space and new
design possibilities for the rotor and stator units in this project.

URGENT REQUEST FOR
BUSBARS
Challenge:
In the fast-paced world of e-mobility, an automotive supplier needed prototypes
of busbars for a sample setup at the IAA fair within a very short time.
Solution:
To avoid the time-consuming production of a stamping and embossing tool,
HAILTEC realized the cutting via micro water jet, embossing via CNC-machining,
and forming process via CNC swivel bending.
Result:
The quick manufacturing and near-series quality of the busbars enabled the
customer to present a functional unit at the IAA.

PROTOTYPE CELL CONTACT
SYSTEM FROM AL 99.5
Challenge:
For a client, we were to manufacture cell contact systems from AL 99.5, a material
that, due to its high sensitivity, poses particular challenges in processing. The goal
was to ensure the precision and surface quality of the components without
compromising the material integrity.
Solution:
HAILTEC developed an extremely gentle manufacturing solution for the soft
aluminum. This allowed us to cut, bend, and package the parts with maximum
care. A specially made bending tool enabled all bends to be performed in
one stroke.
Result:
Thanks to optimized processes, the customer’s scrap rate was significantl
reduced.

With our technological “Lego kit,” we support customers in the transition from
automotive to e-mobility. Nature and technology have always been important to us.
Alb buffaloes graze behind our factory halls, while inside we dedicate ourselves to
groundbreaking high technology. With more than 40 employees, we produce as
closely to nature and CO2-neutrally as possible on the Swabian Alb. We use green
energy, most of which we generate ourselves. Naturally, we tackle large and small
projects for manufacturers of electric vehicles and their suppliers with passion.

From Farm to High-Tech Farm
“Cow out, laser in” is the micro-version of our origin story. 25 years ago, Wilfried Hail nger
built today’s company HAILTEC and converted the cow stable into a laser production.
A farm as a high-tech farm: We develop and manufacture small, precise components
in the Swabian Alb from quantities of 1 to 500,000. And if the job is urgent, we’ll „get the
cow off the ice“ for you – that is what we say in German for getting challenging jobs done.
