Patience and Promise: Navigating Solana's Ever-Evolving Blockchain
If there's one thing the blockchain space teaches us, it's the virtue of patience. In an ecosystem
where rapid advancements and daily transactions shape sentiment, patience becomes not just a
virtue but a necessary skill. For those seasoned in blockchain, this lesson is familiar.
This past week, the announcement of VanEck's filing for the first Solana ETF in the US sent
shockwaves through the market. Speculation ran high, with projections of Solana's value
potentially tripling in response. This surge in optimism also breathed new life into the NFT scene,
a testament to how pivotal external developments can be in shaping blockchain trends.
However, we've seen such peaks before. Whether it was the recent Bitcoin halving or other
significant events, blockchain activity often surges to new heights, only to settle back into a
rhythm. Yet, amidst these fluctuations, Solana stands out for its promising future in the NFT
space. Continuous technological innovations and a burgeoning community are propelling Solana
forward.
Recently, the integration of new token extensions allowing for native metadata in Solana NFTs
marks a significant stride. This enhancement not only bolsters the ecosystem's adaptability but
also empowers creators to push boundaries. It positions Solana to compete fiercely with other
blockchains, fostering a diverse array of NFT projects characterized by complexity and creativity.
Solana's scalability and eco-friendly footprint further distinguish it, attracting a wider audience
to its NFT and decentralized application (dApp) offerings. As Solana expands its capabilities,
it cements its reputation as a premier choice for NFT initiatives. Engaging with Solana's
NFT projects isn't just about exploring digital art and collectibles; it's about joining a vibrant
community at the forefront of innovation.
In this edition of #SHILLzine, we highlight @slorgoftheslugs's latest piece, "Comeback," urging
readers to consider its insights against the backdrop of recent developments reshaping the
Solana landscape. @slorgoftheslugs brings a keen perspective that resonates with the strength
and dynamism of Solana's blockchain trajectory.
We also feature a captivating article by Cheri Wilson on Analog Collage, a veteran in the Solana
space renowned for her insightful interviews with NFT artists. Add to this, @JulesL_art with her
journey into Access Protocol underscoring the platform's potential, particularly through “Access
Drops”, which promises to open new avenues for engagement and creativity.
Amidst the buzz, don't miss out on exploring the intriguing world of political-themed $Shitcoins
in Solana. Whether it's PolitiFI or PoliticalFI, these tokens are making waves, offering a blend of
intrigue and investment potential worth exploring.
Now is your chance to dive into Issue 166 and catch up on the latest from #Solana. As we navigate
the ever evolving blockchain terrain, let patience guide your journey while embracing the
promise of Solana's innovative spirit. Join us as we uncover the stories, trends, and opportunities
shaping the future of digital assets on Solana.
MILADY AURA THREE THE JEO BODENS
Moon Rollers

@nansen_ai
With the debates happening later today, let’s take
a look at two PoliticalFi memecoins, $TRUMP, and
$MAGA, to see who has been buying. This workflow
allows you to identify interesting addresses and how
to take action to leverage onchain data. Now to look at
the data...
With both $TRUMP and $MAGA we’ll be using the
“Who Bought” widget on the token page. This works
for any token on the 12 networks we support. Simply
select 7 days as the timeframe as we want to see recent
buyers hoping to profit from the debates. 1 click...
What you’ll want to do is hoover over the addresses
to discover interesting labels like Smart Money, DEX
trader, and High Balance. You should look for addresses
with a high portfolio balance, ENS names or TG bot
users are often a good spot, too.
8 SHILL Issue #167

Starting with $TRUMP, the “original” Trump memecoin,
which is up 22.69% in the past 7 days. When we look
through the top 20 buyers in the past 7 days, we find many
addresses that are relatively fresh and have received funds
from an exchange intended to be used to buy $TRUMP.
In this example, what you may want to do is custom
label each of these addresses with something like “Fresh
TRUMP,” as these addresses are focusing on just that
token. From there, you can create an alert for this custom
label using “Smart Alerts” to see when they sell.
When we look a little deeper with “Who Bought” we
discover a few addresses that have held a position in
$TRUMP for a few months and have actively traded the
token, including one address that’s made more than 150%
on the token!!

Because these addresses aren’t fresh, unlike the first
batch, you may want to create a different custom label for
them. As they both are profitable on the token and are
longer term with the token, they may be more likely to sell
and buy at favorable market times.
When we repeat this for the other token $MAGA, which
is the new TRUMP memecoin on the block and is up more
than 70% in the past 7 days. Again, we see the same fresh
addresses as we did with $TRUMP, but we also find some
interesting addresses like this memecoin trader.
While their win rate is low, and you may think that’s not
“interesting” at first glance, but when we look at their unrealized
gains, we see many tokens here up a considerable
amount, including $MAGA. This is why when you look at a
wallets PnL you should look at the whole picture.
Then there’s this cold-fisted $WOJACK holder who has
realized $280k of their holdings while they’re sitting on
$250k in unrealized gains. With a 100% hit rate but very
few traded tokens, they recently bought $MAGA and are
already up 30% on their holdings.
But what will you find?

@0xGumshoe
Everyone is quitting and that’s why you MUST pay attention. This will be one of the biggest launches of
the year $CLOUD Tokenomics, Roadmap and Details in a 60-second read.
Key Elements
- Sanctum will ensure a Liquid launch
- Fair launch where everyone has the chance to get in LOWER than VCs
- Lockups for those who participate in the Vault Overall this seems like a good strategy to gather a
strong core holder base
Alpha Vault
- Vault will open days before trading begins
- Deposit & Withdraw at any time while it’s open, until 2 hours before launch
- You get filled PROPORTIONALLY to the USDC you put in Your tokens get locked for a period as a
tradeoff for getting in at a big discount
12 SHILL Issue #167

$10M, 50% of the Total USDC amount - Max price
you pay will be $0.18, $180M FDV Confusing? Not
really, let’s continue.
Alpha Vault Holder Lockup The tradeoff for the discounted
entry on the vault is the introduction of an
undecided cliff and vesting Cliff = Tokens locked for
X months Vesting = Tokens unlocked every Y period
over a Z timeframe
Bonding Curve - CLOUD will initially have $1M FDV
and end its curve at $500M FDV - Vault capped at
Breakdown - 18% Initial Supply for Airdrop and LFG
Launchpad - 38% to Team % Investors (1 year cliff, 3
years vesting) - 30% for the Community, to fund +EV
initiatives - 13% reserved for partnerships, acquisitions,
liquidity, grants & more - 1% for JUP Stakers
No CEX Bribing Most/All CEXs require high fees and
a % of supply to get listed, which Sanctum will not do
as it is not aligned with their mission of pushing the
on-chain economy forward and not leave the token
and its community at the mercy of extractive centralized
exchanges
Strategy You simply need to think if you want to buy
at a lower FDV (Alpha Vault) and be locked (Bullish
on Sanctum) OR Try your luck on the Launchpad and
open market, and have a potentially higher price but
no lockup.

Colosseum Fund I
Colosseum has secured $60 million for its first fund,
named Colosseum Fund I with a focus on pre-seed
investments in winners of Solana Hackathons.
The funds will be used to grow Colosseum’s programs
and accelerate the development of early-stage projects
on Solana.
It’s evident that there is a market demand for novel,
specialized venture products in crypto, and we are
excited to have a diverse group of investors, including
ecosystem founders and hackathon alumni, alongside
us to realize our vision for Colosseum
Colosseum has already deployed $2.75 million across
11 companies including Ore (a mineable token project),
Urani (a Solana intent-based swap aggregator), and
BlockMesh (a Solana-based DePIN project) and other
winning projects from the Renaissance Hackathon.
The timeline for the full deployment of the fund is
expected to occur over three to four years, depending
on the size of future cohorts and the need for follow-on
investments.
Announcing Colosseum Fund I
Solana Actions & Blockchain Blinks
Blockchain Links & Actions, or just Blinks, are a new
primitive introduced by the Solana Foundation and Dialect
that transform onchain actions into links you can
share anywhere on the internet.
Blinks enable blockchain transactions to be initiated
from any website, social media platform, or QR code,
removing the need for users to leave their current environment
or requiring a dedicated dApp.
Blinks borrow concepts from Farcaster Frames, while
Actions incorporate the models of Solana Pay transaction
requests and Dialect smart messages. Together,
they give Solana developers a powerful new tool to
create new experiences and onboard more users to
Solana.
Actions are APIs that enable onchain transactions.
These transactions can be initiated via various means
such as buttons on websites, widgets, or QR codes.
Essentially, an Action is an API endpoint that returns
a Solana transaction to be viewed and signed by the
user, and executed on-chain.
Blinks extend the functionality of Actions by turning
them into shareable, metadata-rich links. Blinks enable
clients, such as wallet extensions and bots, to present
additional UI options for interacting with Solana Actions
directly.
Blinks can be linked to an Action in three ways:
1. Explicit Action URL: Sharing a specific Action
URL, e.g., solana-action:https://actions.alice.
com/donate, which supported clients like Dialect
can render.
2. Website Link: Sharing a link to a website
linked to an Action API through an actions.
json file at the root of the website.
3. Embedded Action URL: Embedding the
Action URL into a URL of a Blink provider
like https://blink.to/?action=.
These links enable wallet extensions to present additional
UI options for interacting with Solana Actions
directly.
Blinks can be used for NFT Transactions, Donations
and Crowdfunding, DAO Voting, Raffles & Sweepstakes,
and open the door to many other types of use
cases.
To get you started check out these articles, dive into the
Solana Actions repo (in Tools below), and play around
with Znap (also in Tools), an early Rust-based framework
ZK Compression
ZK Compression is a new primitive introduced by Light
Protocol and Helius Labs, designed to enhance Solana’s
scalability and performance.
By leveraging zero-knowledge proofs and state roots,
this technology will also address the state growth problem
on Solana, while maintaining the security, performance,
and composability Solana developers rely on.
ZK Compression works by storing only state roots (fingerprints
of all compressed accounts) on-chain, while
the detailed data is kept off-chain. It uses small validity
proofs to ensure the accuracy of the compressed state
without revealing the full data, and utilizes calldata to
minimize on-chain storage requirements.
It drastically lowers the cost of on-chain operations,
making tasks like airdrops significantly cheaper. Additionally,
it is fully composable and two-way compatible
with existing SPL tokens, allowing seamless integration
with existing Solana applications.
This offers a 10,000x improvement in scaling capabilities,
enabling developers to build and scale applications
more efficiently.
56 SHILL Issue #167

However, the introduction of ZK Compression has sparked
debate, particularly around its naming. Critics argue that
the ZK term might mislead users into thinking it functions
like a traditional rollup.
Some in the Ethereum community have labeled ZK Compression
as a Layer 2 (L2) solution, but this is just wrong.
ZK Compression is not an L2 because transactions and
state transitions occur directly on Solana, not on an auxiliary
chain. The compressed state is stored on Solana as
calldata, unlike traditional L2 solutions that store state offchain
and then update the main chain.
ZK Compression operates entirely on Solana, without the
need for a separate execution layer or external sequencers.
It preserves the benefits of L2 scaling without the
associated complexities and limitations.
ZK Compression represents a significant advancement
in Solana’s scalability, providing developers with powerful
tools to reduce costs and enhance performance, all while
maintaining the integrity and simplicity of Solana’s L1.
What is ZK Compression?
VanEck Solana ETF
VanEck has filed for the first Solana ETF in the United
States.
The ETF, named the VanEck Solana Trust, is designed to
reflect the performance of SOL’s price by directly backing
the Trust’s shares with SOL.
SOL’s decentralized nature, high utility, and economic
feasibility align with the characteristics of other established
digital commodities, reinforcing our belief that SOL may
be a valuable commodity with use cases for investors,
builders, and entrepreneurs looking for alternatives to the
duopoly app stores
VanEck argues that SOL functions similarly to digital
commodities like Bitcoin and Ethereum, and that it should
be classified as a commodity despite the SEC previously
labeling it as a security.
The ETF will not engage in staking or earning additional
SOL.
Instead, it will value its shares daily using the MarketVector
Solana Benchmark Rate, which is based on prices from a
carefully selected group of trading platforms.
This move follows VanEck’s previous successes with Bitcoin
and Ethereum ETFs and aims to meet the increasing
demand for secure and regulated digital asset investment
products.
Analog collage is a dynamic
and versatile art form that
involves the physical assembly
of diverse materials to
create a unified composition.
Unlike digital collage, which
is created using software,
analog collage is crafted
by hand, providing a tactile
and immersive creative
process. This art form has a
rich history and continues
to be a powerful means of
expression for contemporary
artists.
The Basics of Analog Collage
At its core, analog collage
involves cutting, tearing,
and arranging materials
such as paper, photographs,
fabric, and other
found objects onto a substrate
like canvas, wood,
or paper. These elements
are then adhered together
using glue, tape, or other
adhesives. The process is
often intuitive and experimental,
allowing artists to
explore texture, color, and
composition in a handson
manner.
Historical Context
Early Beginnings: The
roots of collage can be
traced back to ancient
times when various cultures
incorporated mixed
media into their art. However,
the modern concept
of collage emerged in the
early 20th century.
58 SHILL Issue #167

Cubist Innovation: The term “collage” (derived
from the French word “coller,” meaning
“to glue”) was popularized by Cubist
artists such as Pablo Picasso and Georges
Braque. In their quest to break away from
traditional representation, they began
incorporating newspaper clippings, fabric,
and other materials into their paintings,
creating a new form of artistic expression.
Dada and Surrealism: During the Dada
movement, artists like Hannah Höch and
Kurt Schwitters used collage to challenge
societal norms and explore themes of chaos
and absurdity. Surrealist artists, including
Max Ernst, also employed collage techniques
to delve into the subconscious and
create dreamlike imagery.
Techniques and Materials
Cutting and Pasting: The fundamental
technique of cutting and pasting is at the
heart of analog collage. Artists use scissors,
knives, or even their hands to shape materials,
creating a sense of spontaneity and
immediacy.
Layering: Layering is a crucial aspect of
collage, allowing artists to build depth
and complexity in their compositions. By
overlapping and juxtaposing different elements,
they can create visual narratives and
evoke emotions.
Found Objects: Incorporating found objects,
such as ticket stubs, magazine clippings,
and fabric scraps, adds a unique
dimension to analog collage. These objects
carry their own history and meaning, contributing
to the overall story of the artwork.
Mixed Media: Many collage artists combine
traditional materials with unconventional
ones, such as metal, plastic, or organic matter.
This mixed-media approach expands
the possibilities of collage, enabling artists
to experiment with different textures and
forms.
Contemporary Analog Collage
Today, analog collage continues to thrive as
a vibrant and evolving art form. Contemporary
artists push the boundaries of collage,
using it to address a wide range of themes,
from personal identity and social issues to
abstract concepts and visual poetry.
Personal Expression: For many artists, collage
is a deeply personal medium that
allows them to explore their inner worlds
and express their unique perspectives. The
tactile nature of analog collage fosters a
direct connection between the artist and
their work, making the creative process
both intimate and therapeutic.
Social Commentary: Collage has long been
used as a tool for social and political commentary.
By repurposing mass media imagery
and found objects, artists can critique
societal norms, question authority, and
provoke thought.
Abstract Exploration: In addition to narrative-driven
works, many collage artists
focus on abstract compositions. By experimenting
with form, color, and texture, they
create pieces that invite viewers to engage
with the artwork on a sensory and emotional
level.
Challenges and Rewards
Technical Challenges: The physical nature
of analog collage presents certain challenges,
such as finding the right materials,
achieving archival quality, and dealing with
the fragility of the medium. Artists must
also develop skills in cutting, arranging, and
adhering materials to achieve their desired
effects.
Creative Freedom: Despite these challenges,
analog collage offers immense creative
freedom. The tactile process allows for
spontaneous experimentation, and the limitless
combination of materials and techniques
encourages artists to think outside
the box.
Tactile Satisfaction: One of the most rewarding
aspects of analog collage is the
tactile satisfaction it provides. The hands-on
process of cutting, arranging, and gluing
materials creates a direct and tangible connection
between the artist and their work,
resulting in a unique sense of accomplishment.
Analog collage is a richly layered and deeply
expressive art form that continues to
captivate artists and audiences alike. Its
history is marked by innovation and experimentation,
and its contemporary practice
is characterized by a diverse range of techniques
and themes. Despite the challenges
inherent in its physical nature, the creative
possibilities of analog collage are boundless,
making it a timeless and compelling
medium for artistic exploration.

Turn any website or app into a starting point for crypto transactions - OPOS
the accessibility and integration of crypto transactions across the internet, marking
a significant evolution in how blockchain technology can be utilised in everyday
digital interactions.
Introducing “Actions” and “Blinks”
The foundation recently announced the launch of “Actions,” a tool that allows users
to carry out on-chain transactions directly from websites, social media platforms,
and even through QR codes. This development is part of a broader effort to make
blockchain interactions more accessible and less confined to decentralised applications
(dapps) and other blockchain-specific environments.
In addition to Actions, the foundation has introduced a new feature called “blinks,” a
portmanteau of blockchain and links. Blinks enable any Action to be converted into
a shareable link, effectively turning any digital platform capable of displaying a URL
into a potential starting point for a crypto transaction on the Solana blockchain.
Jon Wong, the head of ecosystem engineering at the Solana Foundation, empha-
60 SHILL Issue #167

sised the strategic importance of these tools. “Access to blockchain protocols has long
been isolated to dapps and other wallet-aware tools,” Wong stated. “Actions and blinks on
Solana allow any website and application on the internet to be a distribution point for onchain
interactions, furthering the goal of mainstream adoption.”
Expanding the Reach Beyond Traditional Apps
Blinks are akin to Frames, which are blockchain-based actions embedded within the social
media platform Farcaster. However, unlike Frames, blinks are designed for use across
a much wider array of applications, not limited to a single platform. This flexibility represents
a significant leap towards integrating blockchain functionality into mainstream
digital environments.
For years, blockchain developers, especially those working with major protocols like
Solana, have faced the challenge of simplifying the accessibility and usability of blockchain-powered
tools. The goal has been to attract more mainstream users to the crypto
economy. Other initiatives have included partnerships between web3 companies and
traditional fintech giants like PayPal, as well as efforts by Mysten Labs to enable crypto
transactions via email.
Early Adopters and Enthusiastic Partnerships
Several teams, including Cubik, Sanctum, Tensor, Realms, Access, Jupiter, Helium, Truffle,
Helius, Phantom, and Backpack, are preparing to test and implement Solana Foundation’s
new Actions and blinks. Chris Osborn, founder and CEO of Dialect Labs, expressed
excitement about the potential impact of these tools. “Actions and blinks deliver on one
of the internet’s original promises: they make experiences portable, shareable, and actionable
on any surface,” Osborn said. “From your X feed, you can buy an NFT, tip a creator,
receive money, vote, stake, swap, and so much more.”
Addressing Potential Security Concerns
The ease of executing crypto transactions brings with it the risk of misuse by malicious
actors aiming to exploit digital assets through deceptive links. The Solana Foundation advises
users to remain vigilant and trust only familiar websites, similar to how crypto users
traditionally stick to known and trusted dapps. The foundation also noted that blinks are
executed on a different origin, such as social media platforms like X or Reddit, necessitating
caution. Furthermore, the foundation has made the list of its official partners public,
adding a layer of security by whitelisting domains run by launch partners.
Built for Mass Adoption
The Solana blockchain, known for its lower usage costs compared to other major blockchains
like Bitcoin and Ethereum, continues to attract significant attention. With its
headquarters in Switzerland, the Solana Foundation positions itself as a leader in pushing
for mass blockchain adoption. Recent data highlighted a record high of 41.7 million active
addresses on the network in May, although this surge also brought to light challenges
such as network congestion. Nevertheless, recent adjustments by projects on the Solana
network have improved its reliability, setting the stage for further growth and integration
into the mainstream digital world.
These strategic advancements by the Solana Foundation are set to redefine the boundaries
of blockchain technology, making it more accessible, versatile, and integrated into our
digital lives than ever before.

@SlorgoftheSlugs
NFTs once ruled Solana. Now, even the best are down 90%. But one day their unexpected comeback
will surprise us all.
Looking at monthly volumes, we notice something immediately: Compared to the All Time High of $6
billion dollars, this month had only 5.6% of that amount, or $340 million in volume. Although not the
lowest recorded, it is close to it.
62 SHILL Issue #167

Homing in on Solana specifically, it holds up better
than most other chains. Compared to the global rate
of 5.6% of ATH volume, Solana maintains a much
larger 12.6%.
shows a concerning trend, as nearly everyone is at
the all-time low in its chain’s currency. And this decrease
is similarly paralleled in USD.
Despite that, it does not spare Solana from its fate.
Viewing the trajectory of blue chips across chains
Some eagerly await for their return one day. But when
will it happen? I believe that the role of collectible
NFTs is to serve as entertainment — to retain people
to the host chain and provide smaller opportunities for
pvp wealth creation between memecoin cycles.
Some of these projects end up forming real friendships
and genuine communities within them. And it is
these communities, which are few and far between,
that serve as the initial onboarding and networking
experience into crypto for many. Communities like
Galactic Geckos or SMB.
Memecoin cycles cannot last forever. Eventually we
hit our saturation limit, and people get frustrated or
bored. And when that happens again, as it always
has, NFTs will have a chance to make their return.
And next time it could be in ways we can’t yet anticipate.

@0xGumshoe
STOP BUYING MEMECOINS AND GAMBLING
You must be generating yield in times like this, not gambling it away There’s a Solana protocol that
does it for you and even farms you airdrops.
Too Much Work Chasing yield is time consuming because you need to constantly look for the best AND
safest yield in the ecosystem Lulo fixes this and makes it easy for you
What is Lulo?
Lulo is an automation tool to maximize your yield Its goal is to generate yield whether on Stablecoins or
Tokens and they manage it for you - simply need to deposit funds into the protocol.
How does it work?
Lulo deploys funds to the protocol with the best yield and reroutes to the highest interest rates every
60 minutes if they increase If your USDC is on marginfi but Kamino has higher APY, it will transfer from
one place to another while you do nothing
Supported Protocols
Lulo supports Kamino, marginfi, Drift, Solend and Mango Markets. You can deposit several assets such
as SOL, USDC, JUP, BONK and JitoSOL.
86 SHILL Issue #167

Lulo is the best place for Stablecoins If you have them parked, you can easily find yourself consistently yielding
over 20% APY (has been the case for months) You simply do not have the time to be checking all DeFi for
the best Yield and Lulo does that for you
Why @uselulo?
- Go on Holidays and let Lulo work for you
- Farm USDC with the highest APY at anytime
- Grow your portfolio at a faster pace
You can also think of Lulo as the opportunity to create a savings account and deploy profits from investments.
