Do you remember that time you discovered your favorite band? What was that like? How
did it feel? Over the years we have found different ways of discovering new music and
other formats of entertainment. Some of you already remember the first time you bought
a vinyl record or a CD.
WHAT TO
EXPECT
For me, it was one of the best experiences when I bought an AC/DC CD freshly bought
ready to be played at full volume in my parent's Hi-Fi system. The physical aspect of the
release always was something that stayed with me for a long time and I loved the whole
experience of having that CD, inserting it into the system, controlling the volume and
listening to my favorite tracks over and over again. Everything that came along with the
CD was a bonus, you could look at pictures, read about the band and have something to
do while experiencing their music.
Right now most music is released in digital formats and you can't really experience this.
Magazines were also something that introduced me to my favorite bands back in the day.
I remember reading about the Killers long before listening to their hits on the radio. Still, the
physical aspect of the discovery was significant, for me at least. Of course, it's a lot easier
to find out great music these days and not buy seven different CDs to discover what you
like.
Enough with the past though, let's move to today, you can stream music, films and series
and many people don't bother buying magazines or CDs. I am one of these people who
loves to collect things and I also own many video games in digital and physical format.
Even though some of my favorite video games are in a library on my computer, I always
cherish the time I take to look through the case of an older video game, its pamphlets and
artwork.

EXOCED "The Hill Is Burning"
GENTLEMAN... AD
Back in 2015...The hill is burning is a project under musical
influences bands like Sepultura, Nevermore, Coroner,
Neurosis and Gojira .
At the end of year, a 5 titles EP was born! At this time, all the
instruments and production was recorded in the home
studio of Ced.
After a break périod,the band was able to form in 2018 with
talented musicians! The arrival of drummer Nicolas Belleville
(Nazca) in early 2019,Eric Castelnau (Black Babouk and
Lomor) at guitar and David Fringue (EMS) at bass guitar.
The Hill Is Burning released their first album in March 2020.
Unfortunately, this coincides with the arrival of COVID 19
and its consequences on the music industry, the band could
not defend their album on stage as they would have wished,
in spite of a favorable reception of the fans and
professional of the Reunionese musical circles.
After a difficult 2021 year,In October, the band find the
strength to rehearse again, and is invited by the Tukatukas
for the opening of their 1st gig at the St Gilles theater in
November. After the work for writng a new album on start
of 2022, In September the bad had the chance to work with
Chris Clancy,great producer of metal band like MACHINE
HEAD or KATAKLYSM,and by the way, the right arm of Colin
Richardson (!)
The release the first song of "From ALpha to Omega" is
planned for 18th November 2023.
Before 2024, and going outside the island, An 8-dates tour is
planned here,and a big show is scheduled for October 2023
in a festival.

Steadfast to the deep-rooted signature sound of the Louisiana
metal/hardcore scene, emerges DECOY with their ferocious vocals,
aggressively dissonant guitars and pummeling low end. Casting their brand
upon the music scene in the summer of 2017, DECOY have methodically
developed into a powder-keg of undetonated explosives. Drawing
inspiration from heavy-weights such as Hatebreed, Converge, Vein and All
Shall Perish, DECOY are on a fast-track trajectory that will certainly propel
this quintet into the national touring circuit. Establishing a reputation for
their high-energy stage presence, DECOY are commanding audiences well
beyond their home state. Adding to Jonah Smith vocals, he is joined by

Stammer Announces
Release of Highly
Anticipated Single
"Mother"
The five members of Stammer met in Nashville in 2022. By combining heavy distorted
guitar tones with feminine vocals, they created an ethereal sound they call Dreamgaze.
They take inspiration from bands like My Bloody Valentine, The Smashing Pumpkins and
Mazzy Star. Mother is the second single of Stammer’s first EP self titled “Stammer”. At its
heart, the song is about feeling disappointed and rejected by the world, communicating
thoughts of “everybody must know something I don’t”. The lyric, “Mama, I don’t like it
here”, does not reference a physical place, but rather the mental state of going through life
on the outside. The vulnerability in the lyrics combined with heavy distorted guitar
melodies makes for a dreamy and melancholic listening experience. Stammer creates big
soundscapes designed to transcend the listener to another world.

Killed By Sorrow is a Hardcore/Metalcore musical
group from Granby, Quebec. Formed in 2000,
the group made several performances including
opening for the Swedish group Raised Fist. After
a long break of several years and thanks to the
initiative of bassist Fred Lussier, the group rose
from its ashes in 2021 with new members. Killed
By Sorrow is then composed of singer Sébastien
Mailloux (Shadow of One, Narwhal), bassist Fred
Lussier (Fast Offensive), guitarists Tommy Forand
(Sudden Fusion, Triple S) and Samuel Ham (first
Killed by Sorrow and Triple S) and drummer
Martin Charbonneau (Premier Killed By Sorrow).
The first EP project "Time as Come" will come to
fruition in June 2022, 1 year after the group's
reunification. Their latest EP "Careless Of This
Sadness" will be released in June 2023.
Currently, the band is making its way onto the
stages and has played alongside Killswitch
Engage, Despised Icon, Stick to your Guns and
many others at Festival au Lac 2023.

First generation Scottish/Italian, living in
DUNDEE, Scotland. I have been in bands
since I was 13 years old, primarily moving to
heavier bands from age 15 onwards. After
spending close to 10 years as a vocalist for
a multitude of bands while writing and
recording guitars, I decided to go solo with
the alias YUNGDROP. In doing so, I found a
unique blend of low & heavy by looking for
music sewn together with low 8O8s and
heavy guitars. I write and record music,
looking to create something heavier, darker
and more poignant than most. With each
release, comes a harsh reality behind the
words written. It's okay to enjoy the doom.

Amerakin Overdose is a high energy Industrial Metal act
from Portland, Oregon, established in 2010 by Cody Perez.
Over the last decade they have released two full length
albums (self titled in 2012 and The Great Amerakin Dream in
2016). Amerakin Overdose has toured the United States on a
number of occasions, as well as opening for hundreds of
touring nationals in the Pacific Northwest. National acts
include Korn, Godsmack, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch,
Chevelle, All That Remains, Static X, Powerman 5000. After a
short hiatus in 2018, Amerakin Overdose returned in 2022 with
the 2015 line up featuring Cody Perez on lead vocals, Pito
Perez on backing vocals, Brick on drums, Starbie 66 on bass
and Bishop Freeman Manfree on guitar. The band has
released a new single and music video for “Agastopia”. In
the Spring of 2023, Amerakin Overdose started playing
shows again regionally in the Pacific Northwest, and plan to
continue to release new singles/videos throughout the year,
with a full length album in the first quarter of 2024.

TRANSIT COP ANNOUNCES TRIUMPHANT
RETURN WITH NEW EP AND FIRST SINGLE
IN 17 YEARS
Transit Cop is an indie rock band from
Cheltenham, UK. Made up of Guy Lewis,
Marcus Attwood, Andy Brotherton, Paul
Richards, and Russ Mulligan. The last time
we played a gig with the five of us on stage
was in the summer of 2007. Back then, we
were going places. We'd played scores of
sweat-drenched, sold-out gigs - headlining
and supporting the bigger boys. The
reviews were pouring in... "Dirt pop
basement rock... There's a car crash, in one
car Howard Devoto's Magazine. In the
other New York's Interpol. Emerging from
the wreck..." Tracks were demoed and
ready for recording our debut album. We'd
just cut a video for the first planned single.
We ran our own Indie club night in
Cheltenham, UK. But then, out of the blue,
Andy, our drummer, got offered his dream
place at university, and just like that, we
imploded - like a hundred thousand other
bands. We share that story. But we never
played a goodbye gig. We never changed
our socials from "Transit Cop" to "Transit
Cop RIP" (yeah, that literally was a thing!).
We couldn't bring ourselves to officially
end it. So we didn't - resolved that one day
we'd be back on stage together. Back in
the studio. Then we blinked and half a
lifetime of jobs and families (there are nine
TC kids now), whizzed by. And now we're
ready to have another go. So we got
together and talked about recording a new
album and remembered the material we
recorded back then but didn't release, that
we could refine, remix, and remaster. So we
started with finishing up the old songs, and
we're releasing them this year... then on to
the new album. Maybe now is the right
time? Maybe now that we don't live in the
indie landfill era we used to (when every
boy and his brother were in a guitar band),
our music will have the chance to cut
through the smoke and feedback and
shine like it could have. "He Brings
Trouble," the first single of five being
released this year, is out Friday, May 17th,
2024.
Indie rock and post-punk band Transit
Cop is back with a vengeance, ready to
shake the music scene with their new EP
"Shake Out Your Sorrow" set to release on
October 4, 2024. Following up on their
first single “He Brings Trouble” is their
much-anticipated second single, "Take
What You Want", dropping today, June
14, 2024. This marks the band's second
new release in 17 years, signalling a
powerful comeback for the group.
Guy Lewis reflects on their journey, "Maybe now is
the right time? Maybe now that we don't live in the
indie landfill era we used to (when every boy and

MONOTOSHI HOME
Growing up with a profound love for music, Montoshi knew from a young age that his future
would be intricately intertwined with the art form. With roots in music that run deep, it was in
2020 that he decided to fully immerse himself in the realm of musical expression. "Blockhead"
emerges as the natural progression from Montoshi's previous work on "Shower Thoughts Vol.1,"
where he reconnected with his guitar after an 8-year hiatus. Through "Blockhead," Montoshi
refines his guitar skills to convey profound emotions and personal growth through music. Delving
into the thematic core of the album, Montoshi reveals, "I wanted 'Blockhead' to serve as a
portrayal of the struggles we face with overthinking, stubbornness, and the complexities of past
versus present relationships." Collaborating with his close friend "SKUNK," tracks such as "Apirl
20th" and "Running Away" took shape. In a quirky twist, the intentional misspelling of "Apirl 20th"
reflects Montoshi’s drive for perfectionism, highlighting how even the minutest details can
become significant. Montoshi's artistic journey is not just a personal exploration but a testament
to the power of music to connect, provoke thought, and evoke strong emotions in listeners.

HIPSKÖR is a blend of hardcore/metalcore sprinkled with electro for a
fun and explosive live atmosphere! FFO: Electric Callboy. We chose to
base this campaign on "DANSU" because this song and its music
video perfectly represent the style and spirit of the band. We will soon
be recording new songs set to be released by the end of the year.
Additionally, we are looking for concert dates and we are going to
play at several french festivals this year, such as Hellfest, Mozhell
Open Air, Omega Sound Fest and Kreiz Y Fest.

After the long work week, we are thrilled to meet up with friends.
Our plans border on spontaneity. Friday’s happy hour leads us to
the beach on Saturday. We wake up Sunday to more unsuspecting
and fabulous fun. When it’s a Credit Card Sunday, we’re encouraged
to live in the moment. But remember, you pay for it on Monday.

SINGLE:
“The Name"

Romi O is a singer and songwriter who puts creativity and passion
first. Her most recent studio work is an amazing new release titled
M2M (produced by NY based producer Daniel Blonde), and it feels like
the culmination of a truly one-of-a-kind musical journey. For this
reason, understanding the flow of this track requires a bit of a
backstory about the artist. This is actually the second single from her
upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released later in 2023.
Her music style evolved from quintessential ballads to something
unique and bittersweet. Romi O’s music is special because of the
juxtaposition of understated textures, relatable lyrics, and hard-hitting
grooves. By the time she turned 22, the artist relocated to Brooklyn,
NY, where she sought a fresh start in music. She co-founded the band
“PowerSnap” to pursue high-octane punk and garage aesthetics.
Eventually, she circled back to her initial fondness for ballads. However,
the resulting sound is truly one-of-a-kind, still retaining more
immediate elements from punk and alternative music but coming to
light in a soothing, softer way that makes her sound all the more
intriguing and dynamic. Her chosen stage name comes from the
beloved figure of “Romeo,” from Shakespeare’s timeless “Romeo and
Juliette” play. Being a huge fan of Shakespeare herself, the artist felt a
truly special connection to the character, and it felt like a perfect
moniker.

Creating what she calls "ADHD Music," a unique fusion of the genres
she enjoys, Romi O crafts a vibrant and eclectic soundscape that
mirrors her dynamic personality. Stylistically, the music is incredibly
diverse, highlighting Romi O's broad-ranging musical focus. Her style
could be seamlessly described as a blend of alt-rock intensity and folk
elegance, falling somewhere in between those two directions. On one
hand, her music is nuanced, understated, and easy to relate to. On the
other, she brings so much depth and urgency to her sound, not only by
way of the aesthetics of the music but also due to her lyrical honesty.
Romi O is indeed the kind of artist who approaches difficult topics with
a fearless attitude. This is an amazing way for her to connect with
people and share something on a deeper, more personal level with the
audience. The Name is going to be the artist's 3rd single from her
upcoming album, and it will also be released with a matching music
video. The visuals accompanying the song are well-executed, and the
stylistic choices of the clip are a perfect match with the sonic
aesthetic of this release. It's authentically personal, grassroots, and
down-to-earth, almost like a dream within a dream. Notably, the video
was shot mostly on a camcorder, giving it a more organic, grungy latenineties
static that matches the authenticity of the song. The video
depicts the feeling of alienation that comes from living in an urban
space, while also connecting with the conceptual angle of the song

Arrows of Athena is a cinematic alt-rock

INSIDE
Christian TRAMONI is an eclectic guitarist and composer. He
composed numerous soundtracks for documentaries, short and
medium-length films between 2000 and 2010. Some of these
were notably broadcasted on France Télévision (Fr2 and TV5)…
He also co-founded and composed for the group NOSOY
produced by Torrents records in the 2010s. He was the electric
and acoustic guitarist for various artists such as Chico Castillo,
notably participating in the Gipsy Fusion show in Miami in 2009,
in musical comedies, and with artists like Menelik, Kay, Shanna
Waerstone, etc. He is also a jazz musician, notably part of the
rhythm section for the "mardi de l'impro" playing with Daniel
Zimmerman, Franck Tortiller, Greg Szlapczynski, Sébastien
Charlier, among others. In 2021, he returned to composing by
releasing a jazz fusion EP "X-TRAM" with 2 tracks playlisted on the
radio. In March 2023, he suffered a serious accident on his right
hand, immobilizing it for several months. During this time, he
resumed composing, resulting in "INSIDE" which blends orchestral
sounds from film music with pop-funk rhythms. This music was
performed live on June 30, 2024 with a Symphonic orchestra and
an electric band featuring a singer (Isabelle Donnadieu) for the
opening of the Rungis Olympiads and will be played in Orly during
the passage of the Olympic flame on July 21, 2024. The track
INSIDE was released on all streaming platforms on June 6, 2024.

I love the songwriting
part but I don't consider myself a
performer. I live with music I enjoy the
journey and my dream would be for my
songs to get known. loved and in due
time covered by other more talented and
skillful artists.
The Last Goodbye talks about coming back
from the dead to meet your lover for one last
night and to keep a promise. It is inspired by
Greek and Anglosaxon folk lore, while the
resurrection motif lead to the album cover.
The music follows the pattern of Zonaradikos
dance from Thrace in Greece, with a pontian
lyra, an oud and reed wind instruments
mimicking bagpipes (gaida). My friend and
singer Tom Boon sang over in a Celtic
inspired way and improvised lyrics that lead
to the story. Medieval talks about the rarest
thing to find, which is a man (or woman)
happy with what they currently possess and
own and able to enjoy a simple life to the full. I
used a flamenco guitar for the 5/8 pattern, a
low pitchedI Irish whistle along with a
Hungarian zither and a kalimba. Fire of your
soul has been released in the past in a slightly
different context. In this case, having the fire
to fight your inner demons and build your life
using the 4 elements ties in with the Christian
inspired motif of the album cover, while the
folk hard rock sound ties in with the sound of
the release, adding a heavier edge.. Pontian
lyra (kemence) played by Nikolas Petridis is
central to the song.
Villains is an LA Based Songwriting Duo heavily influenced by 90s Trip-Hop and UK
Alternative/Electronica. Known for their driving bass-heavy beats, ethereal vocals, dreamy

Katrina Maree is a Canberra-based
musician and singer-songwriter who plays
and writes music for enjoyment, meditation
and healing. Writing deeply emotional songs
on life’s ups and downs, Katrina Maree’s
lyrics draw the listener in to laugh, cry and
move through melodies that are not tied to a
single genre.
Katrina Maree was from a background that
couldn’t afford music lessons. She was
fortunate to have passionate music teachers
at school that taught her singing in choir and
basic piano in primary school and the bass
guitar in high school, which is Katrina
Maree’s primary instrument. After leaving
high school, life had other plans and Katrina
Maree had a music hiatus for about 15 years.
She is now back on the music scene, making
up for that lost time. This is the period when
Katrina Maree has developed her song
writing, both for her independent music and
the songs she writes and performs with the
band, The Black Souls.
Katrina Maree writes lyrics that tell
emotional stories that inspire hope,
positivity, and drive against even seemingly
insurmountable odds. Her influences are
wide and range from classical music, blues,
rock, progressive rock, and heavy metal.
Katrina Maree’s songs are not locked into a
particular genre. Her debut EP, Unrealised
Dreams, showcased three songs which could
be described as a mix of folk, roots and
blues with a touch of jazz. However, she also
composes in a wide range of genres,

As a winner with the best blues song in March 2016
Blues Martin has really found what he’s really good
at and now he’s going back to the roots of the blues
as he playing as a solo artist.
With the heart in what he plays and sings, he gives
the people a special connection to his heart and it’s
with the heart he plays his music.
Blues Martin has always played or listen to music,
started to taking piano lessons and not really
wanting to play the piano, he was always looking
at the guitar.
So at the age of 16 his mom let him go get his first
guitar and it was love at first sight, though he had
no idea how to play the guitar, but he took it to bed
and went to the library to find books on how to
play the guitar.
He has always listened to all kinds of music and
play most of it, but he never forgets the first time he
heard BB King and Albert Collins play and when
Gary Moore released “Still Got The Blues” he was
sold to the blues.
He has always been writing songs, but never really
thought that they were any good, though while
playing in a rock band, he wrote “Back To The
Valley” and playing that and singing it at a gig,
where people would start dancing to the song and
after it was done, they would sit down again, that
he thought he might have something good here, still
he never saw himself as a singer, but he would end
up being a singer in a band he started and worked
hard on to keep going.
It would take a while before Blues Martin would
play blues, it wasn’t until a friend said to him that
he should play the blues and he thought he might as
well try it.
Looking on the internet he found a blues band, that
was looking for a guitarist and he jumped at the
chance to play with them.
Here he found himself going back to singing and
playing guitar, cuz the blues band didn’t have a
singer at that time and with some mojo and good
luck charm, he ended up playing in the blues band,
that ended up named “Naked Hippies”, though they
never played naked, they played a couple of gigs
and he was kicked out of the band, cuz he wasn’t
playing enough blues.
He then started to think about being a solo artist
and came up with the name Blues Martin, it would
take about 2 years before he would release his first
single “Back To The Valley” and following that
“Talk With Birthe”.
He found his muse that would being the guardian
light for him and still is, to whom he wrote “Songs
For Kelly”, “Behind My Blue Eyes” and “In Your
Room”.
They were recorded in his trailer and it’s not the
best work of the mixing, but it gave him a chance
and he took it, with winning Akademia Awards and
going to LA for a gala event.
Now he’s going back to the roots of the blues and
playing solo and he loves the plain idea of being
one with his guitar and his voice and giving it back
to the people, who come to see him at his live
shows.

Rob McAndrew, known by his stage name
RoBB!EMaC, hails from Somers Point, NJ, but his
upbringing was a nomadic journey spanning
Albuquerque, NM, Williamsburg, VA, and Denver,
CO. With a diverse geographical background,
RoBB!EMaC's music draws inspiration from a
myriad of experiences and cultures. Music has
been RoBB!EMaC's lifelong passion, transcending
genres and serving as his therapeutic outlet. From
a young age, he felt an innate connection to
music, which eventually led him to pursue a
career in the industry. At the age of 15, he began
his journey into music production, driven by a
deep-seated love for the art form. Despite the
challenges he faced along the way, RoBB!EMaC
harbors no regrets. He views every setback as a
learning opportunity, essential for personal and
