The school gymnasium was
transformed into a
beautiful, festive venue for
the “Night in Italy”
fundraiser on Sunday
evening, October 22.
Organized by the leaders of
the youth Sabbath School
class, led by Dima
Poperechnyy, this special
evening was a real success.
The meal, served by the
youth, was delicious. The
entertainment, provided by
PCAS students, the youth
leaders, and various church
members, made the evening
festive and memorable.
Approximately $8000 was
raised by the event, which is
for the youth mission trip.
Due to this, and other
fundraising, they reached
their financial goal. The trip
was originally planned for
this summer but has been
postponed to 2025.

The dress code encouraged
ticket holders to wear
formal attire, which was
captured on camera by
photographers, Ted and
Colin Stringer, at the photo
booth. The photos are
Last fall's Ministry Fair was a resounding success, igniting a wave of enthusiasm
and commitment to service. With over 60 dedicated volunteers and a vibrant
turnout of more than 140 registered additional attendees, the event showcased
a remarkable spirit of collaboration.
The fair served as a pivotal platform for various ministries to shine, offering
participants a firsthand look at the diverse opportunities available for
involvement. From outreach initiatives to children’s programs, each booth
brimmed with passionate volunteers eager to share their experiences and invite
others to join in their mission.
The atmosphere was electric. Attendees left inspired and motivated, armed
with new connections and a clearer sense of purpose in contributing to the
church’s mission.
Beyond its immediate impact, the Ministry Fair fostered increased engagement
and strengthened bonds among volunteers. It underscored the power of
collective effort and reaffirmed our commitment to making a positive
difference in the lives of others. As we look forward to future events, the
success of last fall's fair serves as a benchmark for continued growth and
service in our church and community.

On December 2, David Dieppa, a
representative of World vision, inspired
members of our church to have their
photos taken for the purposes of
sponsoring a child. These photos were
electronically sent to children in Tejutla,
Guatemala, who chose their own
sponsors. On December 9, sponsor
matches were revealed. World Vision is
a global humanitarian Christian
organization.
BASKETBALL CAMP
with Go There 4
Building relationships with the PCAS students, outside of the
two Weeks of Prayer they presented this school year, was a
priority for Go There4, our partners in evangelism. They
conducted a basketball camp for 1st-10th graders from January
8-20. Looks like everyone had a great time!
Our church collaborated with Go There4 and
the Lighthouse Community for evangelistic
meetings starting February 16. Sessions were
hosted at Port Charlotte Town Center's Young
Life room, culminating in a final presentation
at our church on Sabbath, February 24.
On January 27, Wayne Goffin was ordained as an elder. Wayne is a physical
therapist and has been a member of our church for more than thirty years.
Victor Poperechnyy was ordained as a deacon. Victor is a college student. He and
his family moved here approximately four years ago. We appreciate the
dedication and leadership of these men.

Now that we have a social committee
our church has been able to enjoy a
few social events already this year.
The return of game nights was fun for
all!

ACADEMY
We were blessed by the music of a
Magnify team from Georgia Cumberland
Academy (GCA) on April 20. Led by one
of its directors, Kalie Siquiera Kelch, who
attended our church many years ago,
these high schoolers shared their
musical talents to worship God.
GCA has several Magnify teams, which
are developed in their praise and
worship classes. They offer training for
elementary and high school students
during a special festival each year.
You can watch their worship music
videos and find more information here.

PCAS MUSIC
Our church is often blessed by
the music provided by our
school students. Some of our
teachers work with the choirs.
Almibar Cruz, our principal,
states that “music is my
passion.” We can see the kids
love it, too!
