Following the success of our inaugural group exhibition of Contemporary African Art in April, we are thrilled
to announce our Second Contemporary African Art Exhibition, running from July 15th to August 15th. This
time, we've expanded our horizons to bring you even more exceptional talents from Ethiopia and Cameroon,
along with exciting new artists from Ghana and Nigeria.
If you enjoyed our April exhibition, you will be captivated by the extraordinary collection we have curated for
you this July. Our mission remains to illuminate the dynamic evolution of contemporary African art, which
keeps challenging and transforming the prevailing narratives and perceptions.

Abel Beyene – Ethiopia
Abel Beyene (born 1995, Addis Abeba, Ethiopia) is an interdisciplinary
visual artist who explores the relationship between shifting identities
and global issues through his acrylic paintings, collages, oil paintings,
digital art and photography. Beyene studied art at Abyssinia Fine Arts &
Vocational Training Centre and at the Teferi Mekonen School between
the years of 2015-2018.
Beyene investigates themes of history, diversity, knowledge and
migration, addressing the complexities of the human experience in an
ever-changing world. His work has been showcased in various art
exhibitions, and he has actively participated in workshops and volunteer
services.
Abel Beyene
Drawing from his Ethiopian heritage and the rich cultural tapestry of
Addis Ababa, Beyene’s art serves as a medium for social commentary
and a catalyst for dialogue. Through his multidisciplinary approach, he
challenges conventional notions of identity and belonging, inviting
viewers to reflect on the interconnectedness of individuals and the
global community.
As an emerging artist, Abel Beyene continues to refine his artistic
language and push the boundaries of his chosen medium, contributing
to the contemporary art discourse in Ethiopia and beyond.

Ange Akomezoa - Cameroon
Ange Akomezoa (born 1998) is a self-taught hyperrealist artist based
in Yaoundé, Cameroon. His artistic journey began in primary school,
where his passion for drawing took root and blossomed over the
years.
Specializing in the use of ballpoint pen, Akomezoa creates
stunningly detailed and meticulously crafted works of art. His choice
of medium, often considered modest, becomes a powerful tool in
his hands, allowing him to explore and convey intricate human
emotions, compelling stories, and rich cultural narratives.

As a full-time artist, Akomezoa’s dedication to his craft is evident in
the precision and depth of his hyperrealistic creations. Each piece is
a testament to his patience and skill, capturing the essence of his

Damilola Joy Olusegun - Nigeria
Damilola Joy Olusegun (born 1997, Ogun State, Nigeria) is an artist

Idowu Opeyemi Olaide – Nigeria
Idowu Opeyemi Olaide (born February 8, 1998, in Iseyin, Oyo State,
Nigeria) is a visual artist based in Ibadan, Oyo State. His passion for
art began in primary school with a special drawing book gifted by
his parents, sparking a lifelong dedication to artistic expression.
Opeyemi pursued formal art education at The Polytechnic, Ibadan,
earning a National Diploma in Fine Arts in 2019. He is currently
advancing his studies in painting at the same institution. He also
completed his Higher National Diploma in Painting at The
Polytechnic Ibadan in 2023.
Idowu Opeyemi Olaide
His work draws inspiration from his culture and the people around
him, characterized by a unique blend of realism and abstraction.
This distinctive style creates a sense of depth and movement,
inviting viewers to engage deeply with his pieces.
His art reflects his personal experiences and cultural heritage,

Liveth Ashiagbor
Liveth Ashiagbor is a self-taught hyperrealistic artist from Accra,
Ghana. He discovered his passion for art during his high school
years where he studied Visual Arts. Although he wasn't able to
pursue higher education in the field, Liveth's artistic journey took
off in 2017, driven by a deep-seated connection to drawings that
dates back to his childhood.
For Liveth, art is a medium for expressing his thoughts and
emotions to society and this personal connection influences his
creations. Despite not having formal training beyond high school,
Liveth's artistic prowess has blossomed through dedication and selfguided
exploration.
Since the inception of his art career, Liveth has set ambitious goals
for himself. His primary aim is to carve a successful path in the
realm of hyperrealistic art. Beyond personal success, he aspires to
be a beacon of inspiration for aspiring artists in Ghana. Liveth is
committed to supporting and uplifting emerging talents within his
community, fostering an environment where creativity can flourish.

Tiamiu Azeez - Nigeria
Tiamiu Azeez is a dedicated studio artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. His
journey into the world of art began with training at MYNA
Computer Training Institute, focusing on graphic art and industrial
design. He further honed his skills at Lagos State Polytechnic,
graduating with a Higher National Diploma in Art and Industrial
Design, specializing in painting.
Azeez's artistic career has been marked by active participation in
numerous local and international art exhibitions. He is a proud
member of the Society of Nigerian Artists (S.N.A) in Lagos, where he
contributes to the vibrant artistic community.
Tiamiu Azeez
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Tiamiu Azeez is the founder of the
ADO-ODO Cultural Art Festival, an annual celebration of cultural
diversity and creativity in Ogun State. This festival serves as a
platform for artists and cultural enthusiasts to showcase their
talents and foster cultural exchange.
