While most DC Ranch<br />

programming is intended for<br />

residents only, there may be an<br />

instance where residents would<br />

like to invite a guest. Please<br />

contact the program coordinator<br />

listed on the calendar or<br />

registration page to make this<br />

request. There are many factors<br />

such as space, capacity, food,<br />

beverage, etc. that the program<br />

coordinator must consider for<br />

each program and may not<br />

always be able to accommodate<br />

the request.<br />

Desert Camp Community Center is currently closed for<br />

construction. The project includes an expanded fitness<br />

center, dedicated fitness studio, enhanced resident<br />

gathering space, four pickleball courts and a walking<br />

path around the center.<br />

The playground, basketball, tennis and temporary<br />

pickleball courts are open. Residents must access the<br />

outdoor amenities via the path and trail system as<br />

parking is restricted in neighborhoods and on sidewalks,<br />

curbs and easements throughout DC Ranch.<br />

FITNESS<br />

CLASSES<br />

All Levels Yoga<br />

Monday and Wednesday | 9 to 10 a.m.<br />

The Homestead<br />

This class is suitable for all levels of yoga practice. The class<br />

moves at a slow to moderate pace and offers modifications<br />

so participants can customize the class to fit their specific<br />

needs. Teachers focus on alignment and breathing<br />

techniques to safely stretch and strengthen students.<br />

Please bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle.<br />

Strength and Balance<br />

Monday and Wednesday | 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.<br />

Tuesday and Thursday | 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.<br />

The Homestead<br />

This class is designed to work on strengthening and<br />

lengthening your muscles. It also works on core and balance<br />

to give an all-around workout. A portion of the class will<br />

be done seated on the mat. Light weights and resistance<br />

bands will also be used. This class is designed for all levels.<br />

Please bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle.<br />

Yoga Basics<br />

Tuesday and Thursday | 9 to 10 a.m.<br />

The Homestead<br />

Designed for the beginner, learn how to incorporate yoga<br />

breathing techniques, body and spinal alignment and how<br />

to properly and safely work your body into different yoga<br />

postures including standing, sitting and balancing poses.<br />

This class focuses on stretching the larger muscle groups,<br />

helping improve flexibility and decreasing risk for injury.<br />

Please bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle.<br />

To make registration easier for ongoing fitness programs,<br />

residents may purchase classes up to three months in<br />

advance. Cost varies per session. $10 drop in.<br />

Note: There are no classes on Sept. 2, Nov. 28 and 29.<br />

Pickleball Club<br />

Sunday | 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.<br />

Desert Camp Courts*<br />

Try your hand at a friendly game of Pickleball. All levels are<br />

welcome. Please bring a paddle.<br />

*Residents must access the courts via the path and trail<br />

system as parking is restricted in neighborhoods and on<br />

sidewalks, curbs and easements throughout DC Ranch.<br />

Hiking Club<br />

Discover the beauty of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and<br />

beyond! Residents will meet at a different trailhead for each<br />

hike of varying length and difficulty. Remember to bring<br />

plenty of water. Hiking boots are strongly recommended.<br />

Mountain Biking Club<br />

Oct. 24 and Nov. 21 | 10 a.m. to Noon<br />

Meet at offsite location<br />

Ages 18+ | RSVP<br />

Gear up for an exhilarating 15-mile adventure through<br />

scenic trails with other DC Ranch residents. Suitable for<br />

intermediate to advanced riders. Helmets required; gloves<br />

strongly recommended.<br />

Mah Jongg<br />

Oct. 8 and Nov. 12 | 1 to 4 p.m.<br />

Join neighbors for a friendly game of Mah Jongg. All skill<br />

levels are welcome. Be sure to bring your <strong>2024</strong> card.<br />

Social Bridge Club<br />

Wednesday | 1:30 to 4 p.m.<br />

Enjoy an afternoon playing social bridge with neighbors.<br />

Whether you’re a seasoned player or a beginner, all skill<br />

levels are welcome. Meet new friends, sharpen your skills,<br />

and have fun in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.<br />

Do you have an idea for a new community club? DC Ranch<br />

is on the lookout for proactive and dedicated residents who<br />

are eager to foster connection with others who share the<br />

same interest. Whether your passion is gardening, books,<br />

of Flame Museum in Phoenix.<br />

The world’s largest museum of<br />

firefighting history features more<br />

than 100 fire vehicles, as well as<br />

other fire artifacts and memorabilia.<br />

The tour also includes a look at the<br />

Firefighting Hall of Heroes. Ticket<br />

includes tour and transportation.<br />

Reconnect with neighbors while overlooking the beautiful McDowell<br />

Mountains at Revel. Engage in delightful conversations, laughter, and<br />

Youth French Cooking Class<br />

Does your child want to be the next Master Chef, Jr.? Indulge them with a<br />

special evening at Classic Cooking Academy. Young residents will join two<br />

professional chefs to create and dine on a French meal together. Menu<br />

includes croque monsieur, pate a choux, pastry cream and chocolate sauce.<br />

CPR Class<br />

respiratory or cardiac<br />
