MALDIVES
The Maldives takes you to a world of private islands
made up of footprint free, white sand beaches fringed
with glistening azure waters. With one hotel per island,
holidays to the Maldives offer a sanctuary for a
romantic getaway. Many hotels also offer activities and
programmes for younger guests, making it popular with
families too. Water based adventurers flock to the clear,
warm waters, which are home to stunning marine life,
exotic house reefs, and world class diving.
Holidaymakers will enjoy sipping cocktails from their
own private pool and soaking up the Maldivian
sunshine on powdery, soft sands, while adrenaline
seekers can sample wakeboarding, windsurfing, or
paragliding for an aerial view of the turquoise waters.
VISIT: Male. Here you can admire the intricate
carvings and stone work of the 350 year old Hukuru
Miskiy Mosque, before browsing the local
handicraft shops featuring exquisite coral jewellery.
Stop off for a refreshing coconut juice from the local
vendors and watch the local fishing boats bobbing
on the water.
TRY: A local favourite on the islands is the Maldivian
tuna curry, featuring diced fresh tuna, as well as
Kukulhu Riha, which is a local chicken curry.
Best time to visit Maldives: December - April
The Maldives boast a tropical climate which
means the country is warm and sunny
throughout the year. The weather is hot and dry
and the days are at their longest.

MAURITIUS
Mauritius transports you to an island paradise featuring
turquoise lagoons bordered by ribbons of white sand
beaches, with a tropical jungle and impressive
mountain backdrop. Divers and adventurers will
appreciate the colourful sea life, water sports, and
shipwrecks, while families can enjoy precious time
together paddling shallow, warm waters, and enjoying
the year-round sunshine. Golfers will be spoilt for choice
with world class fairways, including the famous 18-hole
course on the Ile aux Cerfs islet. Couples can select from
tranquil bays providing the perfect sanctuary to get
away from it all.
TO DO: Islands are scattered around Mauritius like
pearls. Cruise on a catamaran to the nature reserve of
Ile aux Aigrettes, where you'll see pink pigeons and
Aldabra giant tortoises. Alternatively, board a ferry to
Ile aux Cerfs, where you'll find postcard-perfect
beaches and turquoise waters made for snorkelling
and swimming. Go on a speedboat trip to Gabriel
Island. The rocky isle has the silhouette of a sinking ship,
and its beaches are some of Mauritius’ most unspoiled
sands.
TRY: “Dishes come with a variety of Creole, Chinese,
French and Indian influences. Being an island, the
seafood is, of course, to die for. Creole curries are
popular as are spicy, Indian-inspired curries; just ask for
an extra dollop of sour cream with them if you prefer to
cool things down. To wash it all down, Mauritian rum is
right for the job!” - Louise, Personal Travel Planner

November, with October tending to be the driest
month with around 15mm of rainfall. Weather in the
