n the American First Day Cover Society’s annual<br />
cachetmakers contest, the best FDC designs from the<br />
previous year are chosen in 18 categories. The contest<br />
to select the best cachets for each year begins in January<br />
of the following year. The deadline for entries is usually<br />
mid-April. Those entering covers must be members<br />
