Abel Beyene – Ethiopia

Abel Beyene (born 1995, Addis Abeba, Ethiopia) is an interdisciplinary

visual artist who explores the relationship between shifting identities

and global issues through his acrylic paintings, collages, oil paintings,

digital art and photography. Beyene studied art at Abyssinia Fine Arts &

Vocational Training Centre and at the Teferi Mekonen School between

the years of 2015-2018.

Beyene investigates themes of history, diversity, knowledge and

migration, addressing the complexities of the human experience in an

ever-changing world. His work has been showcased in various art

exhibitions, and he has actively participated in workshops and volunteer

services.

Idowu Opeyemi Olaide (born February 8, 1998, in Iseyin, Oyo State,

Nigeria) is a visual artist based in Ibadan, Oyo State. His passion for

art began in primary school with a special drawing book gifted by

his parents, sparking a lifelong dedication to artistic expression.

Opeyemi pursued formal art education at The Polytechnic, Ibadan,

earning a National Diploma in Fine Arts in 2019. He is currently

advancing his studies in painting at the same institution. He also

completed his Higher National Diploma in Painting at The

Polytechnic Ibadan in 2023.

Idowu Opeyemi Olaide

His work draws inspiration from his culture and the people around
