Gemba Makine Reestablishes
Itself in Bursa
Gemba Makine, a longstanding manufacturer of mattress machines
known both in Türkiye and internationally, has relocated its operations
from Kayseri to Bursa, a key industrial hub in Türkiye.
After opening an office in
Bursa four years ago and
establishing a production
line last year, Gemba Makine will
now manage all its production
and commercial activities from
this new location. Company
owner Kazım Sezerkan emphasized
that the move from Kayseri
marks a significant transformation
for the business and reaffirmed
their commitment to continuing
innovation in the industry.
Could you tell us about your
R&D and innovation
activities in 2024?
As you know,
we have recently
moved to Bursa and
we will carry out all our production
activities in Bursa from now
on. Moving our factory was a
milestone for us. On this occasion,
we will
continue
24 SleepTech • September - October
our changes at full speed. We
are currently working to minimize
errors caused by the human factor.
We are endeavoring to make
machines that work completely
on the axis of robotic systems
and are compatible with artificial
intelligence. We are endeavoring
to make the best use of technology
and to make bed machines
in coordination with the world of
technology.
What is your annual production
capacity? How many do you
expect it to be by the end of the
year?
We have enough production capacity
to commission a mattress
factory every month.
Could you tell us about your
export policy and the countries
you export to?
We work as 60% export and
40% domestic market. For the
moment, we have Balkan countries
and Europe in our portfolio.
Our target is to have such a wide
portfolio in other continents as
well.
Can we get your thoughts on
Türkiye’s current situation in
the mattress sector and your
predictions about what kind of
developments will take place in
the short and long term?
The mattress industry in Türkiye
is a sector that grows day by
day and develops as it grows.
However, it is still a sector whose
importance and potential are not
fully understood. As a company
operating in this sector, we are
ready to do our best for the rise
of the sector.
Events
Türkiye ranks above the
world average in mattress
production
IBIA association, the umbrella organisation
of IBIA EXPO, which has
brought the world mattress industry
together in Istanbul for the last 3 years,
is an association formed by industrialists
who provide technology, services
and components to mattress manufacturers
in 10 different branches.
In addition to issues such as strengthening
the commercial activities of
companies that provide technology
and raw materials to mattress
manufacturers all over the world,
strengthening their unity and solidarity,
leading the development of the sector,
protecting the rights of companies,
increasing competitiveness, producing
better quality, healthy, safe, technological
and standardized products, we
decided to establish the International
Bedding Industry Association by
coming together with representatives
of 22 strong companies consisting of
ten different production segments in
order to bring together the mattress
manufacturer and the supplier and to
make useful meetings and established
IBIA at the beginning of 2021.
As of today, there are 142 members
in this association established with
such thoughts. The members of the
association provide employment for
30 thousand people in total, have a
volume of 3 billion dollars and export
2.4 billion dollars.
As mentioned above, we provide
high-level service to mattress manufacturers
with our 30 thousand employees
in 150 countries with different
product ranges such as machinery,
IBIA Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Osman Güler
fabric, spring, sponge, felt, interlining,
fiber, chemistry, accessories, home
textile products, covers, complementary
products in 10 different branches.
Shortly after the establishment of the
association, we revealed the production
power of the sector and started
to work on its growth. We increased
the synergy between us by creating
working groups within our association.
The sector, which had a turnover
volume of around one and a half billion
dollars in the first stages, reached a
volume of over three billion dollars in
total, with exports of over two billion
dollars by the end of 2023, thanks
to the commercial activities between
us and IBIA EXPO fairs. With these
data, we have reached a considerable
position in the world markets. Our
employment has also reached thirty
thousand. One of the other objectives
of the association is to ensure that
the mattress layers that make up the
bed, where we spend one third of our
lives, are harmless to human health,
increase sleep comfort and minimize
the risk of fire by carrying out studies
on the development of standards
that will increase sleep comfort and
minimize the risk of fire, and to ensure
and supervise the production of sector
manufacturers within the framework of
these standards.
In order to produce better quality and
standard mattresses for mattress manufacturers,
we want to create industry
4.0 production mattress production
facilities and dark production facilities
by developing technological studies to
minimize the human factor in mattress
production. In this direction, we aim to
take the sector further by cooperating
with all associations worldwide. In
the past periods, we have cooperated
with many sectoral associations and
28 SleepTech • September - October
federations such as ISPA, ABICOL,
ISPF. We recently had the opportunity
to present the association and our
activities at the first international mattress
symposium held in Brazil. At this
meeting, which was very impressive,
we invited the participants to our third
IBIA EXPO 2024 exhibition, which was
organized by our association together
with BİFAŞ.
Here, we made contacts with the then
ISPA President Ryan Trainer, the then
ABICOL President Rodrigo Miguel de
Melo and EBIA Association General
Manager Frederik Lauwaert and discussed
the issues of working together
by addressing the issue of sustainability
in mattresses, which is one of the
main issues, and we decided to work
together for a healthier and harmless
mattress production by emphasizing
the importance of sustainability and
components in mattresses.
The effects of the mattress subindustry
in Türkiye during the
global economic crisis and the
contribution of the sector to the
economy
In the post-pandemic, war and global
inflation environment, the mattress
production performance in the world
gradually decreased, which had a negative
impact on the Turkish mattress
sub-industry sector. These negativities
prompted Turkish manufacturers
to find new markets. Thanks to the
performance of Turkish companies at
fairs and the synergy between us, we
can state that Turkish companies have
exceeded the world average. With the
establishment of our IBIA Association
and a strong unity, we can say that we
have turned the crisis into an opportunity
in the Turkish mattress sub-industry
industry in this global crisis
environment. This organization, which
has reached a considerable place in
the global mattress industry in a short
time, is a candidate to become the
supply center of the sector.
Although the sector decreased by
up to 40 percent in the world mattress
production with the effect of
the economic recession experienced
in the world after the pandemic, we,
as suppliers, closed the year with a
small increase in 2023. 2024 started
troubled in this sector as in the whole
world. Naturally, this problem is also
observed in the mattress sub-industry
sector. Many companies in Türkiye
work for the US market, which accounts
for 25 percent of the world’s
mattress consumption, and since the
mattress production decline in the
US reached 35 percent this year, this
decline is naturally reflected in the
supply sector. In particular, since the
USA supplies some of its products
related to the mattress sub-industry
from Türkiye, the decline in that market
is naturally reflected in our sector. If we
look at the world in general, there is a
decline in mattress production and the
mattress sub-industry is also affected
by this, but as Turkish industrialists,
we are above the growth average by
taking a large part of the world cake
with our synergy and entrepreneurial
spirit of sectoral organizations.
In this period when the production
performance in the world is gradually
decreasing in the environment of
war and global inflation, the mattress
industry is experiencing a critical year,
as in all sectors. Our expectations
were great, but we will have to postpone
our targets. Achieving last year’s
growth will be the success of this year.
Considering the situation of 2024 and
the following years and the intense
bed change during the pandemic period,
the sector may be idle for about
another year, again depending on the
bed demands of consumers around
the world. Thanks to IBIA EXPO 2024,
which will take place in the coming
days, it is very difficult for us to meet
the next year’s targets, but we think
that we will maintain our production in
2023 and close the year with a small
growth. We believe that we will see the
positive effect of this.
The business volume created
by IBIA EXPO for the mattress
industry
IBIA EXPO 2024 is an international
exhibition that brings together
professionals of the mattress sub-industry,
machinery and equipment,
as well as an export platform where
the latest technologies are exhibited.
Professional visitors, most of whom
are senior executives and company
owners, come to IBIA EXPO with the
aim of making business agreements.
Senior executives, general managers,
purchasing and financing managers,
who will examine new technologies
and products on site, expand their
trade networks at IBIA EXPO. In short,
the sector follows all newly developed
products and more at IBIA EXPO. We
can count many advantages such
as product variety, quality, accurate
service, high technology, flexible price
policy. If we add the geographical
location of our country and the visa
and travel facilities, there is no more
advantageous alternative. In the
meantime, we are working very closely
with sectoral associations and confederations
all over the world, and this
year we have carried out much more
work together than in other years, and
we have organized high-level buyer
delegations from all over the world.
We also hold high-level meetings with
all sectoral fair organizations and we
work in cooperation rather than mutual
competition.
There is an intense desire to
participate in IBIA EXPO
The positive echoes of last year’s fair
increased the demand for participation
in this year’s fair. Last year, we held our
fair in a net 15 thousand square meter
exhibition area consisting of three halls.
Most of the companies supplying the
mattress industry in Türkiye are taking
part in the fair this year. Although 10
percent of the companies decided
not to participate in this year’s fair
due to the global crisis and economic
reasons, there is a new participant
mass of 25 percent . This year, there
are intense participation requests from
abroad, but since we prioritize our own
members, we have not been able to
respond to the demands sufficiently.
We can say that we made history at
the IBIA EXPO fair, which we held for
the first time in 2022, where mattress
manufacturers can have the opportunity
to meet with many suppliers and
which is completely organized by the
association without any commercial
purpose. Despite being the first, we
hosted more than 22,400 visitors from
91 countries and 320 cities.
In IBIA EXPO 2023, with the participation
of more than 140 companies
and more than 300 leading brands,
we brought together 19,000 domestic
and foreign buyers from 97 countries.
In 2024, we invited all participants to
IBIA EXPO 2024, where they will follow
the latest innovations and technologies
in the sector by participating in all fairs
related to our sector throughout the
year. We also tried to create procurement
delegations by meeting with
sector representatives from countries
such as America, Brazil, Poland, India,
Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Macedonia,
Bulgaria, Romania.
Türkiye is an important player in the
mattress sub-industry sector worldwide.
Türkiye is the largest country in
the world economy after China among
the countries that provide technology
and raw materials to mattress manufacturers.
Many of the technology
and product groups supplied to the
mattress industry are world branded
products that dominate the sector and
are preferred.
Türkiye mattress sub-industry
production volumes
Most of the mattresses produced in
Türkiye are exported. In all international
fairs in the sector, Türkiye is the
country with the highest number of
participants after the host country.
This, together with our entrepreneurial
spirit and the synergy of the sector,
brings success and reaches an export
capacity of over 2.4 billion. As such,
we are excited by the successes and
we are pushing the export target of 3
billion dollars by increasing the target.
There is an annual mattress consumption
of around 40 billion dollars in the
world. Approximately twenty billion
dollars of this is shared by the USA
and the People’s Republic of China.
The $ 13 billion part is shared by 50
countries. If we need to give figures,
China ranks first in production with
10 billion 892 million, the USA ranks
second with 9 billion 101 million, India
ranks third with 1 billion 189 million,
Poland ranks fourth with 983 million,
Brazil ranks fifth with 915 million and
the UK ranks sixth with 808 million.
Türkiye ranks 14th in the world ranking
with a production of 429 million.
If we look at the export side of this
ranking, China does not lose the first
place with an export of 927 million dollars.
Poland ranks second with exports
of 862 million dollars, followed by Indonesia
377 million, Mexico 292 million,
Germany 267 million and Türkiye 242
million. The USA had the largest share
of Türkiye’s exports in 2020 with 42
percent , but it lost its attractiveness
with the anti-dumping tax application,
and our producers sought other
markets and achieved an increase
in exports despite falling from fifth to
seventh place in the export ranking. 24
percent of 2021 exports will be to the
USA Romania, 10 percent to the UK,
8 percent to Germany, 7 percent to
the Netherlands, 7 percent to Italy.
We import $ 13 million of our $
200 million bed consumption
If we look back, in a 10-year period,
we increased our production from 342
million in 2012 to 429 million by 25
percent in 2012. We increased our
imports by 448 percent from 54 million
to 242 million and decreased our
mattress consumption from 297 million
to 200 million.
Türkiye’s geopolitical position, young
and dynamic population and strong
economic structure play an important
role in the development of Türkiye’s
mattress industry in the last 10 years.
Türkiye has become one of the most
important global centers in the mattress
industry. With Türkiye’s advanced
technology and experience, we realize
turnkey projects in the sectoral field.
By producing projects in line with
the demands of our customers, we
are a country that can make turnkey
projects from A to Z from construction
to packaging.
In accordance with the product demands
of our customers, our companies
are capable of carrying out the
cost analyses of the products used
in it in a way to cover all the costs
arising during the period of use of the
products.
professionals in the mattress
sub-industry, machinery, and
equipment sectors. It serves as
a vital export platform where the
sector worldwide. We are positioned
among the countries that
produce the most after China in
mattress production. By the end
of 2024, we aim to increase our
exports to 3 billion dollars. For
this, we aim to open up to new
markets, strengthen our current
position and increase our added
value through R&D studies. IBIA
Expo is the only non-alternative
export point for domestic manufacturers
who want to establish
stable business partnerships in
world markets.’
Ümit Vural, Chairman of the
Board of Directors of BİFAŞ, said
in his statement that they are
the biggest fair of the region in
its sector. Here, mattress manufacturers
Hasplast: IBIA Expo is our
gateway to the world
Serkan Elitaş, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hasplast, considers
IBIA Expo Fair as the ‘gateway to the globe’.
In an interview conducted by
Sleep Tech magazine, Serkan
Elitaş, Chairman of the Board
of Directors of Hasplast, said
that the IBIA Expo exhibition is
of great importance for exporter
companies operating in the Turkish
mattress industry and that the
exhibition serves as a gateway
to the global industry for companies.
The exclusive interview
follows:
Could you tell us about your
general predictions about the
exhibition before IBIA Expo
2024?
The IBIA Expo exhibition was
a very important milestone of
the export item for us during
the pandemic period. It is very
valuable for us to establish such
an association in our sector and
to organize such an exhibition at
a time when there are problems
in exports. I believe that the fair
will be productive for all sector
representatives this year. I wish
a good fair both for us exhibitors
and for the purchasing delegations
and visitors.
What are your expectations from
the fair as Hasplast?
Our expectation from the fair is of
course export. We can reach our
domestic customers and our existing
portfolio abroad personally,
but fairs are our biggest basis
for new markets and new foreign
customers. Since IBIA Expo is a
specialized fair and will directly
bring buyers from our sector
together with us, our expectation
is to obtain new customers
from new markets and to provide
foreign currency inflow to both
our company and our country. I
hope that the fair has been well
promoted and we will meet with
customers from countries that we
normally do not come across in
fairs and sign commercial agreements.
Do you have any advice for the
fair management or a request
from the management?
It would be good to announce
the fair to a wider audience and
to use digital media more in this
process. The association or the
fair organization should have its
own social media channels and
announcements can be made to
business people operating in the
mattress sector in many countries
by sharing through these
channels. In addition, various
extra organizations at the fair will
also attract visitors. Shows, mini
concerts or brunch style events
can be given as examples.
mattress from potential damage
due to dirt, dust, and external
elements. You can pack various
mattress types like foam, spring,
latex, or hybrid mattresses, with
the standard mattress box typically
measuring around 80 inches
in length, 80 inches in width, and
10 inches in depth.
To ensure the mattress’s safety
and security during transit,
you’ll need specific materials,
including cardboard boxes to
prevent dents and scratches,
bubble wrap or plastic covers for
added cushioning, packing tape
for sealing, and labels for easy
identification.
Once you have all your materials
ready, correctly folding your
mattress is crucial. Begin with
one end of the mattress facing
up and grab both ends of the
folded side. Bring them together
horizontally to form an ‘X’ shape
and fold them across each other
until they are entirely flat. Secure
them with tape before placing
them in the box. Following these
steps ensures your mattress is
well-packed and protected for its
journey.
How To Fold A Mattress For
Proper Packing
Properly folding a mattress is
essential to ensure safe storage
and transportation. Choose an
area with sufficient space, a flat,
clean, and dry surface before
starting the process. Begin by
folding the mattress in thirds,
taking care not to damage the
springs or foam layers.
Next, fold the mattress in half
lengthwise, reducing its size to a
quarter of the original. Tuck the
top edge into the bottom crease
and secure the bundle with
ropes or straps to keep it tightly
bound. Finally, wrap the package
in plastic wrap or bubble wrap
for added protection against
dust and moisture. Label the box
as “Fragile” for careful handling
during transit. These steps guarantee
your mattress will be adequately
packed for safe storage
or transportation.
Tools Needed For Proper
Mattress Packing
The right tools make all the difference
when packing a mattress.
are useful, but specialized tools
A mattress folding machine
your mattress’s size and thickness.
3. **Automatic Bagging and Sealing:**
Cover the mattress with a
layer of film and seal all four sides
to prevent air leakage. Compress
the mattress into a flat-pack.,
4. **Compress and Fold:** Fold
the flat-packed mattress to
reduce its size for easier storage
and transport.
5. **Completing Operations:**
Press the start button and allow
the machine to complete its cycle
(typically about 30 seconds). Turn
off the power before removing
your folded mattress.
Following these steps when
using a mattress folding machine
ensures safe and efficient mattress
packing.
Instructions For Using A
Mattress Roll Packing Machine
Using a mattress roll packing
machine is an efficient method
for packing mattresses that are
too large for standard boxes.
Here are instructions for using
this machine:
1. **Preparation:** Two individuals
are required – one to feed
the mattress into the machine
and the other to operate it. Both
should have experience with
the machinery and follow safety
measures.
2. **Position the Mattress:** Start
by placing the mattress facedown
on a flat surface. Feed one
end onto the machine’s feeder
belt and ensure even pressure is
applied to prevent uneven rolling.
3. **Secure the Roll:** Once the
desired layers are rolled, secure
them tightly with packing tape at
both ends to maintain the rolled
shape.
Using a mattress roll packing machine
makes packing larger mattresses
easier and more efficient,
ensuring they remain protected
during storage and transport.
With this comprehensive guide,
you’ll be well-equipped to pack
your mattress safely, whether
you opt for manual folding or use
specialized packing machines.
Sustainable spring
components maker Spinks
achieves global accreditation
U.K.-based Spinks, a spring components supplier to the mattress
and furniture industries, has secured a Cradle-to-Cradle Bronze
accreditation for its pocket spring products, making it the first
such supplier to achieve this standard, according to the company.
The Cradle to Cradle (C2C)
accreditation ensures
products are safe, sustainable
and ethically sourced. It was
awarded to Spinks following a
rigorous, 18-month third-party
product certification program, the
company said.
The certification verifies that all
pocket-spring products produced
by Spinks are of a high
standard of safety and responsibility
of materials, all while being
economically circular through
design and processing, according
to a news release.
C2C assesses products and
companies based on several
factors — from transparency in
production to social fairness —
to support businesses who are
passionate about their product
design and ethical trade.
The accreditation process aims
to encourage safe and ethical
product development and
innovation, a vision aligned with
Spinks’ history of manufacturing
original and environmentally
friendly components for the
mattress and furniture industries,
company officials said.
Spinks will continue to work
with C2C undergoing a biannual
assessment to analyze its data
and processes and optimize
strategies to continue its trajectory
in innovation and efficient and
sustainable design. Its in-house
approach overseeing all aspects
of the production process aims
to find opportunities to constantly
improve these areas.
“We are delighted to have our
pocket springs for the mattress
and seating markets become
Cradle to Cradle Certified, meaning
we can ensure all our products
are as sustainable as possible,”
said Darren Marcangelo,
managing director of Spinks. “We
believe we are the world’s first
pocket spring manufacturer to
become certified for the full range
of pocket springs we produce.
Achieving this global standard is
not just a huge success for the
business and our sustainability
goals, but also for our customers.”
Revolutionizing the
Indian sleep industry at
INDIA MATTRESSTECH +
Upholstery Supplies Expo
(IME) 2025
India’s premier exhibition for
mattress manufacturing and
upholstery supplies, the 9th
edition of the India Mattresstech
& Upholstery Supplies Expo (IME)
2025, is set to take place from
March 6–9 at IEML, Greater Noida,
Delhi-NCR. As the industry’s
leading sourcing hub, IME has
become a vital platform for the
mattress and upholstery sectors,
driving innovation, fostering
partnerships, and addressing key
challenges. The 2025 edition,
organized by NürnbergMesse
India, promises to be an even
greater success, building on the
achievements of the 8th edition,
which attracted over 7,100 trade
visitors from 16 countries and
showcased 120 exhibitors from 7
nations.
The Booming Indian Mattress
Industry
The Indian mattress industry is
on the cusp of significant growth,
projected to reach USD 3.1
billion by 2029. This expansion is
driven by increased demand for
comfort, quality, and eco-friendly
materials, as well as the country’s
burgeoning home and interiors
market. IME plays a key role in
this evolution, offering a unique
platform for industry leaders to
showcase cutting-edge products
such as mattress manufacturing
machinery, memory and latex
foam, mattress finishing machinery,
and upholstery supplies.
The expo is a hub for innovation,
where companies present their
latest solutions, including mattress
glues, quilting machinery,
and packaging solutions.
Growth Drivers
The Indian mattress industry’s
growth is propelled by several
dynamic factors, including:
1. Expanding Home & Interiors
Market: Expected to hit USD
48.1 billion by 2028, with home
furnishings and home improvement
leading the way.
2. Rising Disposable Income: India’s
GDP per capita has doubled
since 2010, increasing consumer
spending on higher-quality
products.
3. Real Estate Boom: A 20% rise
in metro city project launches in
2023 has increased demand for
mattresses.
4. Shorter Replacement Cycle:
The average mattress replacement
cycle has decreased from
10 years in 2010 to 7.7 years in
2022, boosting repeat purchases.
5. Investments in Healthcare
and Hospitality: The healthcare
sector is expected to attract USD
200 billion over the next decade,
while hospitality is projected to
see USD 50 billion in investments
over the next five years.
Evolving Consumer Trends
The Indian market is witnessing
a shift in consumer behavior,
particularly among young homeowners.
As government incentives
and urbanization reduce
the average age of homeowners,
younger buyers are placing
greater emphasis on design and
aesthetics. This shift is driving
demand for premium and customized
products.
Additionally, eco-friendly materials
and sustainable designs are
becoming increasingly important
to consumers. Smart home
technologies and personalized
decor solutions are also gaining
traction, offering convenience
and customization options that
appeal to the modern consumer.
Retail Revolution in India
India, the world’s 4th largest retail
market, is seeing rapid growth
in e-commerce, with an annual
increase of 18%. This shift is
allowing smaller brands to reach
wider audiences and compete on
a larger scale. With consumers
showing a preference for premium
and sustainable products,
brands are focusing on differentiation,
customer engagement,
and omnichannel strategies to
stay ahead in the competitive
retail landscape.
A Platform for Innovation and
Collaboration
IME 2025 will not only showcase
the latest technologies and
trends but also serve as a hub
for knowledge exchange and
collaboration. The expo will host
a diverse B2B audience, including
mattress and pillow manufacturers,
sleep product makers,
importers, exporters, and suppliers
of mattress technology and
materials. Additionally, the event
will feature a dedicated conference
forum, creating opportunities
for industry professionals to
engage in meaningful discussions
and forge new partnerships.
As India’s mattress industry
continues to grow and evolve,
the INDIA MATTRESSTECH +
UPHOLSTERY SUPPLIES EXPO
2025 promises to be a landmark
event, offering a glimpse into the
future of the industry and helping
to shape its trajectory in the
years to come.
Mark your calendars for this unmissable
event and join the revolution
in the Indian sleep industry!
Elektroteks: The purpose of
our participation in fairs is to
refresh our image
Osman Güler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektroteks, said
that IBIA Expo 2024 will be more productive than the previous two years
and this year’s statistics will be higher compared to previous years.
Stating that as Elektroteks,
they participate in fairs not
with the motto of expectation,
but to refresh their image,
Güler said that as one of the
largest companies in the global
mattress industry, exporting to
140 countries, their only goal is
to continue to take place in the
memory of the industry players.
Mr Osman stated that it is not
possible to give an objective answer
to the question of whether
you will have a request from the
fair management since he is also
the Chairman of the Board of
Directors of IBIA, and stated that
as the fair management, they will
evaluate the demands from other
companies.
Could you tell us about your
general predictions about the
exhibition before IBIA Expo
2024?
The fair is the only fair in Turkey
and one of the few fairs in the
world in its field. I believe that
both the exhibition has proven
itself and the companies have
62 SleepTech • September - October
introduced themselves to the
global mattress industry very
efficiently in the two previous
organisations. Thanks to the references
provided by the previous
two years, I think that this year
we will reach higher statistics
than the previous years in terms
of both the number of visitors,
qualified buyers and the commercial
volume to be generated.
What are your expectations from
the fair as Elektroteks?
We are no longer a company that
desires expectations from fairs,
but a company that adds image
to fairs. This is valid not only for
IBIA, but also for all bed industry
fairs. As Elektroteks, our purpose
of participating in fairs is to
refresh our image and continue
to take place in the memories of
our customers. Exporting to 140
countries, having companies in
the USA, India and Bulgaria as
well as Bursa and working with
the world’s biggest mattress
brands, we cannot have any other
expectation other than this.
Do you have any advice for the
fair management (in reference
to the previous year) or any
request from the management?
It would not be objective for me
to answer this question both as
the president of the association
organising the fair and as a
company owner participating in
the fair. Of course, there will be
companies that have something
to say on this subject. As the
president of the association, we
will take their demands into consideration
and try to reflect them
in the fair.
to IBIA Expo 2024
Özdemir Group Sales Marketing Specialist Şeref Özdemir said that they
expect an influx of visitors to IBIA Expo.
Stating that potential buyers
are turning to alternative
the recession in the global industry,
Mr. Şeref said that Türkiye
is an ideal alternative market
and will be efficient for buyers in
terms of both quality and price.
Özdemir predicted that IBIA Expo
a period and is still a young fair,
will be flooded with visitors and
added that the trade volume of
2024?
Our preparations before the IBIA
Expo 2024 exhibition continue at
full speed. We expect an intense
influx of visitors this
year. As you know,
the high freight prices
global recession
will lead
customers
to look for
new suppliers, which is possible
through fair visits. I believe that
IBIA Expo will fulfil this need in
the global industry.
WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS
FROM THE EXHIBITION AS
ÖZDEMIR GROUP?
As Özdemir Group, our expectations
from the exhibition this
year are that potential customers
in the target countries will visit
the exhibition and a good commercial
volume will be achieved
at the exhibition. As Özdemir
Group, we want to be in this
commercial volume and write
many orders.
Do you have any advice for the
fair management or a request
from the management?
It would be in our favor to include
more foreign participants in the
fair. Bringing giant companies
from America and Europe to the
fair and using the references of
these companies will lead to both
the further growth of the fair and
the expansion of the customer
portfolio of Turkish companies.
As Boyteks, we will give our best
Do you have any advice for the
We are very satisfied with the
Fiber sector wants
its own OIZ
The Aegean stakeholders of the fiber sector, which exported 1
billion 236 million dollars last year, demand their own Organized
Industrial Zone (OIZ) in Izmir.
Ahmet Tayfun, Committee
Chairman of the Fiber
Weaving and Finishing
Processes Occupational Committee
affiliated to the Aegean
Region Chamber of Industry,
said, “As a committee, we have a
demand for a boutique organized
industrial zone allocated to us,
provided that we do not move
away from central Izmir. We are
already working on renewable
energy and we are planning to
plan a project on sustainable
production in the aforementioned
organized industrial zone.”
“The number of interns does not
meet the demand”
72 SleepTech • September - October
Stating that the same problems
experienced by all industrialists
also exist in the fiber sector,
Tayfun listed these problems as
follows: “Exchange rates, access
to finance, shortage of qualified
personnel, personnel costs,
failure to train personnel from
below, failure to train personnel
as in industrial vocational high
schools and other vocational high
schools, energy costs, closed
enterprises, decreasing demand,
transportation costs.” Tayfun said
that they continue to negotiate
with vocational high schools for
trainee staff and added, “We
are hiring trainee staff, albeit in
small numbers, but they do not
meet our demands.” Describing
the fiber sector as the rings of
a chain from the field to the end
user, Tayfun said, “We can group
these rings in five main groups:
ginning, fiber, yarn, fabric and finishing
processes. Each institution
represents an important success
in our sector.”
“150-200 acres is enough for
us”
Pointing out that the current
issues of the sector are sustainable
production, carbon footprint
and organized industrial zone,
Tayfun said, “We constantly keep
this on the agenda in our own
committee. We have a demand
for an organized industrial zone.
If it is approved, 150-200 acres
will be enough for us. I think that
we will be much more beneficial
here by reducing the costs here
in the problems of energy costs
and falling demands,” he said.
Stating that they will
showcase the Revival
Era collection at the fair,
Selim Şahin said that they aim
to establish international connections
as well as increasing
their brand awareness at the fair.
Emphasizing that IBIA Expo is a
very important organization for
the Turkish mattress industry,
Selim Şahin, General Manager
of Comfytex, said that there are
some things to be considered
during the organization of such
an organization and added:
“Considering some of the problems
we experienced last year,
we have some expectations from
the fair management. Firstly, we
demand that the air conditioning
systems in the exhibition area be
better controlled and kept at an
optimal temperature; last year
we encountered an extremely
cold environment. We also hope
that the storage processes will
be managed in a healthier way
and that we will not encounter
additional fee requests.”
Before IBIA Expo 2024, could
predictions for the exhibition?
IBIA Expo is recognized as the
76 SleepTech • September - October
most important bedding sub-industry
and technology fair in
Türkiye. The fair, which attracts
increasing interest every year,
hosted more than 35 thousand
domestic and foreign visitors in
2023. The vast majority of these
visitors were mattress manufacturers,
component importers and
exporters, importers of sleep
products and industry professionals.
Exhibitors stated that the
fair provided an important platform
for showcasing new technologies
and innovative products.
We anticipate that this perception
will grow and the exhibitor portfolio
will expand geographically.
What are your expectations from
the fair as Comfytex?
As Comfytex, our expectation
from IBIA Expo 2024 is to
increase the number of participants
especially from abroad and
from more diverse countries. We
aim to introduce our 2024 - 2025
collection inspired by the revival
cycle of nature titled “Revival
Era” to a wider audience through
this fair. We believe that the fair
will provide an important opportunity
to establish international
business connections as well as
increasing our brand awareness.
IBIA Expo 2024 continues to be
an important platform in terms
of exhibiting innovative products
and technologies, establishing
business connections with
professionals in the industry and
providing opportunities to expand
to international markets. As
Comfytex, we believe that this
fair will meet our expectations
and we continue our preparations
in this direction. We would like to
thank all the team who contributed
to the organization of the fair.
Durak Tekstil: We want to
show that we are the leader in
all criteria at IBIA Expo
Durak Tekstil Board Member and Marketing Director Yiğit Durak stated
that they came to the IBIA Expo fair, which they have supported since
the first day, by increasing their targets and that they expect more sector
professionals to meet in the area this year.
In the interview he gave before
the fair, Yiğit Durak stated that
they have been supporting the
IBIA Expo fair since its establishment,
that their belief in the
fair has always been complete
and that they have prepared for
the organization with this seriousness,
and that they will once
again show the sector how innovative
and reliable Durak Tekstil is
in its field. Durak stated that they
will come to the fair with sustainable
products produced with the
latest technology and they will
emphasize again that they are
the leader in all criteria in their
field. Yiğit Durak underlined that
their targets and expectations at
the fair are great and predicted
that this fair will host more visitors
than the two previous fairs.
Could you tell us about your
general predictions about the
exhibition before IBIA Expo
2024?
Durak Tekstil, one of the leading
manufacturers of industrial sewing
and embroidery threads, will
show that it is an innovative and
reliable partner of the industry
at the 3rd International Bedding
Side Industry and Technologies
Fair IBIA EXPO 2024, which will
be held at IFM between 25-28
September at the stand number
D05 in Hall 7. With its 3rd edition,
we have been supporting the fair,
which is preparing to bring the
industry together, since the first
day. We are participating in IBIA
EXPO 2024, organized by IBIA,
of which we are proud to be one
of the founders, by expanding
80 SleepTech • September - October
our targets. Because IBIA EXPO
has a significant potential in
terms of both local and international
markets. We expect the fair
to attract more industry professionals
this year.
What are your expectations from
the fair as Durak Tekstil?
Every fair has a promotional and
commercial aspect for the participants,
and at IBIA Expo, we
aim to both promote our brand
and establish new commercial
contacts. Every day, we are taking
strategic steps that make our
brand stronger in the international
arena and strengthening our
connections. In this context, we
want to show to all sector representatives
that we do not only
compete on price, but that we
are also ahead in criteria such as
quality, technical superiority and
sustainability. IBIA EXPO can turn
into an interactive platform for
bed, furniture, textile and many
other related sectors and when
this happens, both exhibitors and
visitors will win. For this reason,
as Durak Tekstil, we are taking
our place in the fair as strong
as ever with our standard and
functional sewing and embroidery
threads that we have developed
and produced especially for the
bedding industry. We will also expand
the product portfolio of IBIA
Expo with a rich product range,
especially our pest repellent
Durak Bug Safe thread.
Do you have any advice for the
fair management (in relation
to the previous year) or any
request from the management?
IBIA EXPO is bringing together
the mattress and mattress
sub-industry with its third edition
this year, I think that the fair will
be organized in a more inclusive
and wider framework this year
with the experience gained from
the previous editions. We are of
the opinion that it would be beneficial
to focus on promotional
activities in particular, with more
participation and number of visitors,
not only the fair but also the
mattress and related sub-sectors
will benefit.
We see IBIA Expo as an achievement
for the Turkish industry and
we believe that this achievement
can provide opportunities for
the development of the entire
industry. For this, we expect the
exhibition organizers to carry
out strong promotional activities
both in Türkiye and in the relevant
markets abroad and to attract
procurement delegations to the
exhibition.
representatives
Serhat Duru, Boyçelik International Sales and Marketing Chef,
said that IBIA Expo 2024 would be a successful organization like
the previous IBIA Expo editions.
Mr. Serhat stated that their
expectations from the
exhibition are high again
and they think that these expectations
will be met, and added
that it would be appropriate to
increase the number of foreign
IBIA Expo, which is called the
one of the most important fairs
in the sector. I think that the fair,
which had a successful performance
in 2022-20023, will meet
the expectations in 2024. We
anticipate that the fair, which will
host visitors from many countries
of the world, will include many
84 SleepTech • September - October
local and foreign sector representatives
who produce both
I congratulate Osman Güler,
of the IBIA Association, and
his management team, who are
working on the promotion of the
fair in international media. I hope
that the IBIA Expo fair will bring
success to our country and that
new connections will be made
and will have a positive impact
on our exports.
What are your expectations from
the fair as Boyçelik?
Our expectations are to expand
our market network, find new
customers in existing markets
and receive orders that will
provide foreign currency inflow
to our country. I believe that the
exhibition will fulfil these expectations.
I think that the visitor mass
will be productive in terms of
both quality and quantity.
Do you have any advice for the
fair management or a request
from the management?
Wider markets can be addressed
with more foreign exhibitors.
Increasing the number of foreign
exhibitors in the fair and especially
the participation of world giant
companies in the fair will be a
positive reference point for us.
In the light of these data, it is
obvious how important the fair
is and will continue to be for the
preparing for the fair in the best
way as a company that exports
to more than 60 countries from
We act by considering the contribution
We sincerely believe that the
fair will be positive for both our
Of course, our first aim and expectation
will be to improve our
cooperation with our existing customers
who will visit us at the fair
potential customer candidates.
In addition to this, as the only PU
of our biggest goals is to convey
our work on issues such as
become more and more important
in the recent period, and the improvements
and developments we
a brotherly manner. It has made
great contributions to our industry
since its establishment. The
breakthrough in the export side
of the mattress components industry.
Thanks to the excitement
92 SleepTech • September - October
I think that the third fair will be
productive both in terms of the
number of visitors and the trade
volume generated.
What are your expectations from
the fair as Kar-as?
Kar-as, being one of Turkey’s
reputable mattress spring manufacturers,
is also a company
that manufactures bed-base and
has a high export percentage
and portfolio. Our purpose of
participating in fairs is not only
to export mattress springs, but
also to showcase our recently
launched mattress-base and
sleep products brands Deep
Sleep and Kargibi brands and
to make our presence felt in the
global mattress industry. For this
reason, we want to make our
Kargibi and Deep Sleep brands
known and recognized in the
sector as well as Kar-as, which is
already a well-known brand in the
sector. We hope that IBIA Expo
2024 will help us in this regard
and we can turn our brands into
global brands.
Do you have any advice for the
fair management or a request
from the management?
As Kar-as, we were very pleased
to take part in IBIA Expo 2023
last year and we would like to
thank your entire management
team for your professionalism
and support during this process.
Your meticulous work on the
organization of the exhibition and
the exhibitor experience played
an important role in the success
of the exhibition.
Based on last year’s IBIA Expo
2023, we have a few suggestions
and requests this year:
Exhibitor Guide: Providing exhibitors
with a detailed guide prior to
the exhibition will be beneficial in
terms of providing easier access
to critical information such as
the layout of the exhibition area,
logistics information, and event
calendar.
Networking Events: Organizing
more networking events among
exhibitors during the exhibition
can increase cooperation opportunities.
Enriching these events
with sector-specific themes will
be very valuable for our company.
Digital Integration: During the
exhibition, exhibitors can benefit
more from digital solutions. In
particular, the development of
digital maps between stands, appointment
planning applications
and mobile applications for event
tracking will further enhance the
visitor and exhibitor experience.
We believe that these suggestions
will further reinforce the
success of IBIA EXPO 2024. We
look forward to cooperating with
you at the next exhibition.
the contraction period experienced in the global industry.
Stating that IBIA Expo fair is
Can you tell us your general
predictions about the fair before
IBIA Expo 2024 fair?
Since our fair has now received
the title of a national fair, it helps
both participating and visiting
companies to prove the power
and quality of the bedding sector
to the whole world. Our companies
can collectively promote
high-quality and innovative materials
that they cannot present
individually. In addition, with the
superior efforts of our board of
directors, ISPA and similar organizations
are joined forces and
our country’s power in bedding
production is introduced to the
whole world.
It will be a fair that needs much
more visitors and buyers than in
previous years. We are trying to
highlight the new products we
have developed on behalf of our
company at this fair.
Do you have any advice
at IBIA Expo 2024.
Onur Kırayoğlu stated that
despite the stagnation in
the global markets, they
have high expectations from
IBIA Expo 2024 and that the fair
has the potential to meet these
recommendations to the fair
management and stated that the
use of digital integration systems
in the organization and providing
this way is important in terms of
effective communication.
Could you tell us about your
general predictions about the
exhibition before IBIA Expo
2024?
First of all, we think that IBIA
Expo 2024 will be a prestigious
event where important innovations,
trends and technological
developments in the sector are
exhibited. In particular, we expect
topics such as sustainability,
innovative designs and digitalization
to stand out. This exhibition
will be a platform where exhibitors
will have the opportunity to
obtain new business opportunities
and expand their networks,
both locally and internationally.
Although the global markets are
in recession this year, we anticipate
a dynamic fair atmosphere
with a high participation rate.
98 SleepTech • September - October
What are your expectations
from the fair as Kırayteks?
We want to acquire new business
partnerships and customer
acquisitions at IBIA Expo. We
believe that the exhibition will
provide the opportunity to establish
direct contact with potential
customers and business partners
and strengthen business relations.
We also aim to increase the
awareness of Kırayteks brand in
the international arena. We want
to introduce the innovative products
and services of our brand
to a wide audience and make
the name Kırayteks known in the
global mattress industry.
Another purpose of our participation
in the fair is to follow the
market trends and to be in front
of our customers with appropriate
products. Learning about the
latest trends and technological
developments in the sector is important
for us to stay competitive
and improve our products.
Do you have any advice for the
fair management or a request
from the management?
In order to increase the number
of exhibitors and visitors,
we would like to organize more
extensive promotional and advertising
campaigns, increase the
number of networking events,
which are of great importance in
terms of establishing business
contacts, and organize more
diverse events for both ourselves
and our industry stakeholders.
Strengthening digital integration
is also very important. In order for
exhibitors and visitors to interact
more effectively with digital tools
and applications, the digital infrastructure
needs to be strengthened.
Mechanisms such as smart
device applications can be used
for this.
In line with these suggestions
and demands, we hope that IBIA
Expo 2024 will be more productive
and successful, and we wish
all exhibitors to have a fruitful
exhibition.
Universal General Manager
Alber Strugo emphasized
that the company is focused
on creating a new export
portfolio at IBIA Expo 2024, aiming
for a significant increase in
profit margins through enhanced
international activities.
Can you tell us about your
general predictions for the fair
before the IBIA Expo 2024 fair?
2024 was a year when the
domestic market contracted
for Turkey, and it will probably
continue to contract until the end
of the year. We are in a period
where we need to be more active
abroad. I hope the fair will have
many visitors and that Turkey,
together with our competitors
and sector stakeholders, will
play a greater role in the sales
of adhesives and other bedding
materials.
What are your expectations from
the fair as Universal?
First of all, we want to host our
current customers at our stand
and continue our collaboration
with them. Then, we want to host
bedding professionals and sector
players that we have not worked
with before at our stand and sign
new collaborations. Our goal is
to create a new export portfolio
that generates high profit margins
and to be beneficial to both
our company and the sector. For
this, we need to meet new customers
from new markets and
introduce our products to them. I
hope that the fair will be productive
for both us and our sector
stakeholders.
Do you have any advice or requests
interzum
2025’s new
central
theme:
“Rethinking
Resources:
Circular and
Biobased
Solutions”
The circular economy and biobased solutions as sustainable sources of
resources for furniture production and interior design are set to be the
focus of interzum 2025. With this new central theme, the sector’s leading
international trade fair will continue to provide clear momentum for the
sustainable stewardship of raw materials at next year’s event. Many different
aspects of the industry-relevant central theme will be presented on the
Koelnmesse exhibition grounds from 20 to 23 May 2025 and brought to life
in showcases for participants to experience. The theme will be discussed as
part of the diverse event program and addressed by numerous innovative
products and concepts presented by exhibitors.
In 2025, the organizers plan
to expand on and develop the
concept of “Neo-Ecology”,
which was the central theme for
the 2023 edition of interzum.
“With ‘Rethinking Resources:
Circular and Biobased Solutions’
as its central theme, interzum will
address one of neo-ecology’s key
pillars,” explains Maik Fischer, the
Director of interzum. “By bringing
together the two approaches
– the circular economy and
biobased materials – the world’s
leading trade fair for furniture
production and interior design
will advance the development of
product innovations that are both
long-lasting and produced from
sustainable sources.”
Focus on the sustainable use of
resources
With its new central theme, the
104 SleepTech • September - October
trade fair will highlight two fundamental
concepts in the stewardship
of resources. Transitioning
to a circular economy means
keeping materials and products
in the economic cycle for as
long as possible by extending
the duration of their use through
reuse, repair, refurbishment and
recycling. By contrast, biobased
solutions use materials produced
from regrowing sources, making
them environmentally friendly
alternatives to petroleum-based
products. Both approaches aim
to minimize a product’s ecological
footprint and promote sustainability.
Large sections of the interzum
event program will pick up on the
new central theme. Both speakers
on the interzum Trend Stage
and the discussions in the three
interzum forums will discuss and
present ideas, studies and market-ready
solutions. The exhibiting
companies will also showcase
a large number of products
and pioneering ideas that work
with biobased materials and
promote the circular economy.
To further underscore the central
theme, the organizers are once
again giving interested exhibitors
a second opportunity to present
their concepts: The Boulevard
North will be transformed into the
Rethinking Resources Boulevard
and filled with inspiring solutions
for sustainable furniture production.
The interzum exhibition
segments
For the 2025 edition of interzum,
the exhibition will once again be
divided into three proven segments:
Function & Components: In this
segment, the industry will present
technologies that meet customers’
rising requirements, in particular
in terms of energy efficiency,
comfort and convenience. It will
include fittings, lighting systems
and semi-finished products for
Events
furniture and built-in parts.
Materials & Nature: This segment
will showcase sustainable
materials, with a special focus
on environmentally sound raw
materials. It will feature woods,
veneers, parquet flooring, decorative
surfaces, decor papers,
wood-based materials, laminates,
edging products and
surface treatments, among other
products.
Textile & Machinery: In this segment,
quality leaders and drivers
of innovation from various stages
of the value chain will present
innovative ideas and high-quality
materials. The showcase will cover
machinery for upholstery and
mattress production, upholstery
and cover fabrics, leathers and
adhesives.
With these three segments, the
trade fair is staying true to its
established structure. The threepart
division fosters exchanges
106 SleepTech • September - October
of ideas between players at all
stages along the sector’s value
chains. The structure also provides
clear orientation for both
the event’s exhibitors and its
audience of trade visitors.
Even at this early stage, the level
of registrations is impressive, with
many notable names among the
exhibitors. This is yet another indication
of interzum’s importance
as a global sector gathering and
source of fresh impetus for the
industry.
“As we enter into Better Sleep
Month, it’s imperative to acknowledge
that sleep is not a luxury
but a fundamental necessity
for overall well-being,” said Bob
O’Connell, executive vice president
marketing and merchandising
at Precision Textiles. “This
month presents an invaluable
opportunity for mattress manufacturers
and bedding retailers
to unite in a collective effort to
prioritize better sleep habits. With
IQFIT FLEX, we’re empowering
manufacturers to replicate more
exacting feels with their cores
designs while helping the consumer
attain a more restorative
night’s rest.”
The versatile material can be
demonstrates that IQFIT
FLEX FR sock reflects improved
comfort and enhanced sleep performance
through greater sleep
surface contact and pressure
point reduction versus a traditional
FR Sock design.
The patent pending IQFIT FLEX
is sustainably sourced and is also
USDA Bio-Preferred® certified
and is ideal option for premium
mattress collections along with
mattress designs that are used
with adjustable bed bases.
O’Connell added, “Together,
these certifications provide our
customers and consumers with
assurance that Precision Textiles’
products are made responsibly,
with a focus on environmental
sustainability, health and safety.
This alignment with consumer
values helps to build trust and
loyalty among environmentally
and socially conscious shoppers.”
Streamlining mattress
packaging with advanced
roll packing machines
In the ever-evolving mattress
manufacturing industry, efficient
and secure packaging
plays a crucial role in maintaining
product quality and optimizing
logistics. The advent of advanced
mattress roll packing machines
has revolutionized how manufacturers
package various types of
mattresses, ensuring they reach
customers in pristine condition.
Key players like ZIMLIN are at the
forefront of this technological advancement,
offering state-of-theart
solutions that cater to diverse
packaging needs.
Understanding mattress roll
packing machin es
A mattress roll packing machine
is designed to compress and
roll mattresses into compact,
easy-to-handle packages. This
method not only saves space
during storage and transportation
but also significantly reduces
shipping costs. These machines
are equipped to handle different
types of mattresses, including
foam, spring, and hybrid varieties,
making them versatile tools
in the mattress manufacturing
industry.
The role of mattress
compression machines
Integral to the roll packing process
is mattress compression
machine. These machines exert
uniform pressure to compress the
mattress to a fraction of its original
size without compromising its
integrity. Once compressed, the
mattress is then rolled and sealed,
creating a compact package that
is easy to manage and transport.
This compression technique is
particularly beneficial for manufacturers
dealing with large volumes
of mattresses.
ZIMLIN: Pioneering ınnovation in
mattress machinery
ZIMLIN is a renowned name in
the realm of mattress machinery,
known for its innovative solutions
that enhance efficiency
and product quality. Their range
of mattress packing machines
is designed to meet the varied
demands of mattress manufacturers.
These machines integrate
multiple functions such as auto
bagging, compression, heat
sealing, conveying, folding, and
rolling, streamlining the entire
packaging process.
Benefits of Using Mattress Roll
Packing Machines
Space efficiency: By reducing the
volume of mattresses through
compression and rolling, these
machines enable manufacturers
to maximize storage and optimize
shipping container usage.
Cost savings: Lower shipping
costs are achieved due to the
reduced space requirements.
Additionally, automated processes
cut down on labor costs and
minimize manual handling, reducing
the risk of damage.
Product protection: Properly
rolled and sealed mattresses are
protected from dust, moisture,
and physical damage during transit,
ensuring they arrive at their
destination in excellent condition.
Versatility: Modern mattress roll
packing machines are equipped
to handle a variety of mattress
types and sizes, making them a
valuable asset for manufacturers
catering to diverse market
demands.
How to pack a mattress using a
roll packing machine
Prepare the Mattress: Ensure the
mattress is clean and dry before
packaging. Remove any accessories
or additional layers that
may interfere with the compression
process.
Place the Mattress in the Compression
Machine: Position the
mattress within the mattress
compression machine, ensuring
it is properly aligned for uniform
compression.
Compress the Mattress: Activate
the machine to compress the
mattress. Modern machines from
ZIMLIN offer precise control over
the compression process, ensuring
consistent results.
Roll the Mattress: Once compressed,
the mattress is transferred
to the rolling mechanism.
The machine will tightly roll the
mattress into a compact form.
Seal and Package: The rolled
mattress is then sealed in protective
packaging. Some mattress
packing machine also offer auto
bagging and heat sealing features,
providing an added layer of
protection.
Label and Store: Label the packaged
mattress with necessary
information and store it in a suitable
environment until it is ready
for shipment.
Adopting advanced mattress
roll packing machines is a
game-changer for mattress
manufacturers, offering a blend
of efficiency, cost savings, and
product protection. ZIMLIN’s
cutting-edge mattress machines
exemplifies the strides being
made in this field, providing
robust solutions that cater to the
evolving needs of the industry. By
embracing these technologies,
manufacturers can ensure their
products are packaged securely
and transported efficiently, maintaining
the highest standards
of quality from production to
delivery.
