Street with a warm atmosphere for everyone. You’ll enjoy

artists, artisans & makers selling traditional arts, fine arts

& crafts, local musicians filling the air with music; fabulous

foods from local nonprofit, church & civic organizations,

cider - fresh from the apple press, old fashioned

hot chocolate, homemade root beer, a children’s activity

area and our famous street pub. The Hannibal Folklife

Festival is proudly presented by the Hannibal Arts Council.

musician - John P. Williams

J

ohn P. Williams is an old-time fiddler from

Madison, Missouri who grew up deeply

entrenched in the tradition of Missouri

fiddling. John was a regular attendee of the

Bethel Youth Fiddle Camp and apprenticed

under Pete McMahan in the late 90’s as a

part of the Missouri Folk Arts Program. He

studied under Missouri fiddlers Bob Holt, Vesta

Johnson, Dwight Lamb, Taylor McBaine, Fred

Stoneking, Johnny Bruce, Herman Johnson,

and Charlie Walden. John is the youngest

Master Artist in the Missouri Folks Arts

Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program

and is considered a Master Artist!

Ayers and the Ayers Pottery crew to create limitededition

Hannibal Folklife Festival mugs. The limitededition

mugs sell out every year. . . . Get yours early! The mugs will

be available at each of the Hannibal Arts Council drink booths. Be

sure to stop by the Apple Cider, Coffee, or Root Beer booth to get

yours! The mugs are sold for $30 each - with the drink!

All proceeds from mug sales benefit the Hannibal Folklife Festival

and Hannibal Arts Council.
